Card gets declined constantly. Shops tried: maxgaming.gg, bon-bon.de, bett1.de. Card also cannot be added to PayPal as PayPal cannot verify the card and wants to verify it with a test transaction which immediately gets deducted from my card's balance but never shows up in the transaction history even after days (you need to enter info from the transaction on the PayPal site to verify the card).

And yes, I used my real name and country when buying the card and I don't use any VPN when shopping.

Now I have 250$ of dead capital and missed opportunity cost from (1) missing out shopping on Black Friday and (2) missing out on the recent Bitcoin price increase.

What annoys me the most here is that I should've known better because multiple clues had already made me suspicious: (1) On PlasBit's start page I got the following message: "Due to the overwhelming demand for our card services, we are temporarily pausing the issuance of all new cards until further notice." I than made an account to be ready when they start issuing new card, just to find out that PlasBit seems to actually sell news cards after all when you log in. (2) But I wasn't sure, so I decided to ask the PlasBit support whether they're actually selling the Visa prepaid cards they are offering in 20, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 USD denominations. Because maybe they take my crypto now and give me a card months later, who knows? Their replay didn't answer my question but was mostly text blocks basically saying they never offered Visa prepaid gift cards and have always been offering prepaid Mastercards. Yet the checkout page of the prepaid cards clearly says "Card Payment Network: Visa". This is all so contradictory. AND I STILL BOUGHT A 250$ CARD! I didn't even try with a 20$ card first, as I was lulled by the overwhelmingly positive feedback here on Trustpilot. And btw: The card I got was actually a Mastercard, which is terrible because -as I said- the checkout page says it is a Visa. And as not every shop that accepts Visa also accepts Mastercard, you might face a dead end when buying one of these prepaid cards with the intend to shop at a Visa-only store.

Seriously, this might be a scam run by multiple people who communicate insufficiently with each other. The guy who's stalling the customers in support seems to be out of the loop what the guy running the website does. And there are many more of these inconsistencies, e.g. the prepaid cards' product descriptions say they work with Google Pay, while the FAQ says they don't.

I absolutely do not recommend PlasBit.

UPDATE 2024-12-02: The PayPal test transaction finally showed up on my statement. I entered the code on the PayPal website and tried to pay something with it. But the card did not show up under my payment options. So I checked the card's status again - and it said there has been a problem with the card and it needs to be verified again. I'm so sick of this.

UPDATE 2024-12-02 #2: I was finally been able to checkout on a store. I tried bett1.de again and this time it worked. Maybe it is because I forgot to deactivate my VPN this time? Maybe my residential IP is somehow flagged and my VPN server's exit IP is not? But I know now PlasBit is not a scam and I therefore increase my rating to 3/5 and also updates my review's title. But this will be it until I get PayPal to work, as PayPal compatibility is an ESSENTIAL part of the offer. Will try the other stores with VPN on and off again shorty and report my findings.

UPDATE 2024-12-02 #3-1: The second verification code from PayPal showed up on my statement much faster than the first one; two hours versus five days. The code verified the card like before and when I tried to checkout something with it there was a problem with it yet again and now PayPal wants to verify the card for a third time. And sadly I have to reduce my review from 3/5 down to 2/5, because PlasBit is now openly claiming in their response that I contradicted myself (i.e. that I lied) and that I'm abusing Trustpilot. Nothing could be further from the truth. Rather they seem to lack basic text comprehension: I said I don't shop with VPN activated. And in my update I detailed that during my latest attempt to get the card working I forgot to deactivate my VPN before shopping. This means that apart from that single instance I do in fact deactivate my VPN before shopping. The second statement doesn't contradict the first one, it REENFORCES it. What is wrong with you guys at PlasBit that you don't understand this? Did you think I wrote that I generally don't use a VPN? Well, if so READ AGAIN: "I don't use any VPN *WHEN SHOPPING*." The phrasing more than clearly implies that I in fact do use a VPN, just not when shopping (or when forgetting to turn it off before shopping). Seriously, you are combative and want to be right instead of making it right.
