Avoidable Delays, Poor Attention to Detail, and Reviews Disappearing Without Explanation

I had a very disappointing experience with Platinum Solicitors during my property purchase.

From the outset, I made it clear that my mortgage lender would be Halifax. Despite this, the firm accepted my instructions without identifying that they were not on Halifax's conveyancing panel. This issue only came to light later, forcing me to change solicitors and causing a significant delay to my purchase that could have been avoided from day one.

I was also concerned by what appeared to be a lack of attention to information I had already provided. After completing the required forms, there was confusion over the role of the person providing a gifted deposit. The firm appeared to treat this individual as a joint purchaser, despite the information having already been supplied. This raised serious concerns about whether my paperwork had been properly reviewed.

What has further damaged my confidence is what happened when I tried to leave feedback. I submitted reviews describing my experience, and on more than one occasion those reviews disappeared from a solicitor review website without any explanation being provided to me. As a customer, that left me feeling that honest feedback was not receiving the transparency it deserved.

Buying a property is stressful enough without avoidable delays, basic misunderstandings, and concerns about whether customer feedback is being heard. Based on my experience, I would not use Platinum Solicitors again and would not recommend them.
