I made a purchase from play-asia.com on November 2nd for two Kingston FURY Impact SO-DIMM, DDR5-5600, CL40-40-40 (32GB) modules. Today, I received an email from Ian, a representative of play-asia.com, stating that they could not fulfill my order due to a pricing issue with their supplier. According to Ian, the supplier's current offer is significantly higher than what I originally paid, which has led to the cancellation of my order.
I find this situation extremely frustrating. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission has guidelines regarding such matters, and it is unacceptable for the seller to cancel my purchase because of issues on their end. I paid the price that was clearly listed on your website, and it should be honored.
This experience has left a very negative impression, and I regret that this was my first and potentially last purchase from your website.
I placed an order for 145 euros. The value of the products was 100 euros, the shipping was 25, and VAT/GST was another 25.
In my case, the package never arrived and was returned to Playasia. If this happens to you, you have two choices:
1. Wait 3-6 months for the package to arrive at Playasia's headquarters because it is shipped back via cargo ship. Then, you have to pay again for them to send it to you.
2. They issue a refund, but only for the product's value, not the shipping.
After receiving the refund, due to taxes and currency exchange, I ended up with only 87.79 euros.
So, I received nothing, it wasn't my fault, and I lost 58 euros.
The customer service team answers quickly, but they are like robots, responding with copy-pasted messages. Don't expect any human treatment from them.
What a disgusting company. This was the worst experience of my life.
I am awaiting a solution to request order 62925969.
I would like to express my deep disappointment with the resolution provided by the support and customer service team [PACS-18613411] [PACS-18613109] [PACS-18602885].
The codes I purchased were for a 3-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Brazil subscription, which were incorrectly exchanged for a 3-month PC Game Pass Brazil subscription, were not activated, and, at this very moment, are still available and ready to be redeemed.
The statement that the codes have already been activated is incorrect and misleading. This situation is causing me significant inconvenience and financial loss.
I demand an urgent and direct resolution to this issue. I expect a solution that acknowledges the fact that the codes remain unused and redeemable, and that they need to be exchanged for the correct tier that I purchased!
Sincerely,
placed pre order on mario galaxy , received fake tracking number , opened paypal disput
Everything has been fine so far! Prices are good or even cheaper than over here in Europe! I recommend!
Pre order scammers.
They will oversell pre orders 100% of the time and cancel you order if the price goes up.
Do not give this company a free loan. Buy elsewhere.
Have ordered 3 games so far. I prefer hard copies not the digital versions and the quality is better than here in the USA with our silly restrictions. Easy to find items, order them & get them shipped inexpensively considering it’s usually more for international delivery. I highly recommend them!
I bought flexepin code,i get dont valid code, i asked to change code, play Asia said wait,i am waiting 5 days,i dont get nothing (((
My order id 62499893
from India, I bought Fuyu Kiss ps4 game from them. their approach from beginning to end is much satisficable to me,yes, made cross border retail payment prior to the delivery and spent 500 only for economy shipping as 1 month later i had gotten the parcel without seemless tracking.by the way, it is worth for the just cheap money for international shipping,at last, the overall good is here from them
Item paid , two weeks later still not received.
April from their customer service is not helping at all, seems she barely understands english.
Rubbish.
Do not order here if you don't want mysterious hidden costs and them to lie to you, take your business somewhere that will not lie to you and thst is willing to show they want your business. When I ordered my item it said Tariff prices where included in the total price already and gave me a rate of about 100$ for shipping. I payed everything and when the item went to ship, they said they needed 50$ more for my item..... Had my receipts and pictures that showed the price of tariffs were already included in the price and that there is no reason that they should need anymore money as the tariffs had not increased yet, in fact they had been suspended. They told me that there was a mix up, and they owed me money for shipping and credited 26$ to my account. I had thought that was the end of it and moved along with ordering another product. They THEN CHARGED ME MORE MONEY FOR MY FIRST PRODUCT EITHER WAY, AND ARE NOW TRYING TO DO SO FOR MY SECOND ZITEM ASWELL! What is even crazier is not a single rep could give me a straight answer on what the extra money was needed for or why it was being asked for! Had I known they were going to lie to me i would have told them to stuff it instead of ordering something else that caught my fancy. I will never be ordering from them again, and for your sake you shouldnt either. Avoid at all costs, extremely scummy and will take advantage of you every chance they get.
Where do I even start?
I needed to buy a digital gift code to top up my US PlayStation Store wallet to buy a game. This store popped up right at the top of the search results. I even checked reviews on Reddit and thought it looked fine, so I decided to give it a try.
Since they didn’t have the card amount I needed, I had to buy several smaller ones to get the total. Fine. I logged in, added the first one to my cart, paid with my credit card. Money gone instantly — but no code. Two minutes, five minutes… nothing. Had to reach out to support. About 30 minutes later they finally replied, apologized, and sent me the code by email. Weird delay, but okay, I let it slide.
Then I tried again. Added another card of the same amount, this time paid with a Google Pay virtual card. Guess what? Same story. Payment went through, but no code. After half an hour to an hour, I get an email saying I have to go through “verification.” They wanted a photo of me holding a sheet of paper, my passport, and the card. Seriously? I’ve never had to deal with nonsense like this when buying anything online, except maybe when opening a bank account or activating a SIM card.
Fine, I played along. Sent them the photo. Half a day later, they reply: “Sorry, your card doesn’t match the one used for payment. Goodbye.” Of course it doesn’t! The card I used to make the payment is virtual, it can't be photographed against the piece of paper, so I took a picture of the physical card that google pay is linked to and sent it to them. But no — they refused to investigate the situation.
At this point, it’s been over 24 hours since payment. I have neither the product nor my money back. All my follow-up messages are being ignored.
Avoid this store at all costs. They take your money, waste your time, and leave you with nothing. Don’t make the same mistake I did — don’t buy anything here.
First time using playasia and I’m so happy with my order. The game I ordered was not available in my region and I saw playasia had it in stock. Once I placed my order it took around 3 weeks to come with standard shipping. Item was brand new and sealed. Will definitely use playasia again in the future
disastrous ...
just lost money can not contact any one, sounds like a scam of a very poorly coded website
My last three orders did not arrive since they use this weird dutch delivery Service! Customer Service alsays refuses help because the Service fakes delivery
As a long time customer, I've had my fair share of bad Experiences with play-asia, from items out of stock, to delays and more. This time, they decided to split my order into 60328449 and 60328450 and ship by UPS without asking me or even letting me know. Long story short, first package arrived with broker fees that were paid and then delivered. Second package also had broker fees that exceeded the cost of the item itself. UPS ended up seizing the item and so far no solution from Customer Support. Shame on you Play-asia!
I just bought a psn giftcard after less than 10 minutes i got it they are very fast i liked the service it was a easy proces def will buy again respect
I placed a pre order for super robot wars Y collectors edition because it wasn't for sale in the west. I have been buying things from playasia since around 2016. Never had any issues. I try to pre order this time and think everything was done after having to prove my identity several times and go through multiple verification methods. Even had notification that the payment was processing and an order number. I go to check on my order since the game is supposed to be coming out soon. Apparently after all of that they still wanted more verification. I just didn't see the email because I thought it over and done with. Even if I has seen it, that is an absurd amount of hoops to jump through just to give them my money. I uses to trust them and even reccomend people buy from them. From now on I will tell everyone I know that shops online to avoid there. So sad to see a place I used to love shopping at become so awful.
So it is with a heavy heart I say don't ever buy from them.
charged me 60$ and sent no items, When I log in, it says the items were never purchased.
I signed up to purchase game gift cards, but after the purchase I received an email asking me to verify my identity by taking a selfie with my passport and the card I used to pay for my purchase, which does not make any sense. I do not have to give such sensitive information to any website in order to buy anything.
They said that I can use PayPal to pay wihout going through this ID verification phase, but if I use PayPal they can not guarantee that the system will not ask me for the same ID verification. Therefore I discarded PayPal as a payment option.
The same email said that the only way to avoid the required ID verification is to use a 3DS verified debit/credit card to pay. I did so. I bought 8 euro gift card with my 3DS verified debit card, but I had to wait several hours for security check before I actually receive the gift card I paid for.
Next day, I tried to purchase a 66 euro gift card, I paid using the same debit card I used before, the purchase went also into a security check, then after about 20 minutes I received an email telling me that my purchase was rejected, and I have to do the required verification process in order to purchase the gift card.
Honestly, they refunded the payment of the rejected order. But the entire service looks like a bait to steal your photo and identity information.
I will never use this website again.
