i have bought a number of items in the last few years and have never been disappointed in price,quality & delivery

Always great service and prices, very good for blu ray steelbooks especially the new packaging

Play.com is a good website but to be honest I would only use it if it was cheaper than amazon and HMV because the delivery takes a bit longer than them. But still a great website. 100 million times better than TheHut anyways! But that's not hard!

I've been using Play since 2002, ordered over 400 items from them and up until Rakuten took them over they had been faultless. They've now removed any sort of communication with customer service and made the whole returns/missing items process amazingly convoluted. I'm currently trying to chase a missing item which was tracked, it was allegedly delivered 2 weeks ago, the only communication I have had from play after 2 weeks and multitudes of contacts is:
"We are sorry for the delay in responding to your email but we have recently moved our contact centre back to the UK and whilst we are currently in a transitional period we are unfortunately taking slightly longer in responding to emails."
It has taken them 2 weeks to send a standard apology email, and they think that's reasonable? Just don't bother Play, you've lost my custom and if you don't give me a proper response soon then I'll be taking you to small claims court.

I usually use Play.com instead of Amazon, or some of the other well known websites. I've put in over 30 orders over the years and never had any complaints whatsoever. Their service is fast, payment is easy and p&p free. Cant ask better than that!

Usually well priced goods, nice offers (though too much coal and too few diamonds)

Delivery times are abysmal so order well in advance and don't pre order games for a release day....they won't be there.

Extensive range of products and great deals, Fast efficient delivery, Easy product browsing and an easy check out service. 5 Stars no problems whatsoever.

Ordered a new copy of MW3 and it turned up in a fast time but the state of the product I was not so pleased with. I will give them another chance though as this may just be a one off due to the postal service.

Bought an MP3 player from them as I had purchased DVD's without much problems in the past. MP3 player stopped working after about a month so tried returning it to Play.Com. I went through the help process and couldnt see how to return the item so I wrote to customer services. That was two weeks ago and still no response.

Ok I have lost the cost of the MP3 player but they have lost any further business from me and at every opportunity I will tell people how bad their customer service is.

The first port of call whenever I need a CD, DVD, Game and now clothing, books and ink etc... Exceptional website! Great service and easy to use... what more can you ask for?!

i had order some items from them, i received 2 of my orders in good condition, i have received 1 wrong item (it has been returned) and one of them has not been delivered at all. Well those unwanted situation can be understandable but customer service is just a rubish. Whenever i talked to them, i just hardly stopped myself not to get angry. Well if you ask me ,would i buy stuff from them again.Yes i would but only if i have to.

I always compare sites for DVD and Music CDs and more often than not Play will come out cheaper, especially as you don't have to pay postage.

I've been using Play.com for longer than I care to remember now and purchased in excess of £10,000 from the site. Time and time again, they get it spot on, even when sometimes the product is broken, their customer service has been faultless. A*

I lived away from the UK for a while and play.com was my saviour. It was so easy to purchase DVDs and books that were not available. Also their offer of free delivery makes things so much easier as I did not have to worry about postage. I knew the exact amount I was paying when I bought the items and knew that I did not have to worry about the exchange rate.
