Platform comes in handy when you want…

Platform comes in handy when you want extra work to keep busy. It can sometimes take a whilst to get the green light on your quotations. Our new account manager Nathan Kent keeps me and my team updated with the odd easy win jobs that have no quotes and gives support whenever we need

Great Tool - Easy as 1,2,3

Great Tool! We have been working with Plentific for a few months now and the platform is very easy to use. I like the updated look.
It would be great if you could see the job description information when you were in the quote screen, even as a side bar or drop down but other than that a great tool.

I as a tradesman have been working…

I as a tradesman have been working successfully with this platform, it has a couple of v minor gremlins but overall I find transparent and easy to communicate with the client - avoiding paperwork! This can only be a good thing for the trade/client & planet :0)

DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM!

I engaged with an electrician to complete a rewiring on my newly purchased property.We had a disagreement as he wanted full payment before the work had been completed, so I asked him to leave the job. The electrician then entered my property without permission and cut all the cables to all sockets and switches, leaving them live and touching the metal casing of the sockets and switches.

I brought it to the attention of Plentific and except for removing the electrician from their platform, they have failed to do anything else. I now have to do a total rewire due to the criminal act of someone I found on their platform and they are shirking all responsibilities to protect their business, using the technicality that I did not pay on their platform (I had been told by the electrician that the link I had used to pay was connected to the Plentific platform). No sympathy or compassion shown at all for this horrendous situation I have found myself in - I wonder if they would have been bothered had I died or seriously hurt myself had I touched anything that had been left live. From my experience, they don't care at all, as long as that 'pro' has been removed and is no longer a liability for them. Head of Customer Service needs to learn some customer service and interpersonal skills. I dealt with 3 people at Plentific in total - she was the worst of the lot.

Use at your peril - I won't be making the same mistake again and will certainly be telling everyone I know not to.

Edit: Plentific have taken the time to complain about my review to Trust Pilot yet a senior member of management hasn't haven't had the decency to phone me ... I informed them that I was told by the 'pro' the link provided to me for payment was linked to my Plentific account but of course they haven't looked into that.

Traumatizing experience when we hired someone through Plentific...

Traumatizing experience when we hired someone through Plentific... We posted a job for a kitchen appliance installation which also required a socket to be moved. We detailed everything and added photos. The person who turned up at our place claimed he was only there to move the socket and not to install the appliance. At this point, we told him that if he cannot do the installation, it is better not to start the job at all. He claimed he can do it and stayed. He tried to install the cooker hood twice, but it fell on his lap both times, leaving several big holes on the wall.

During this we asked him to stop twice - as seeing him doing so much damage was very stressful - he resisted and continued to try to do the installation, and after an hour of trying and failing, opening lots of holes on a plaster wall and dropping our cooker hood twice, he agreed to leave the flat very angrily.

Now we will have to find someone new that can fix the damage he did, PLUS do the installation and socket move that we initially hired him for.

It was a total nightmare that we hope to never experience again! Be careful who you let into your property, as it was also a bit scary. No platform has the right to send someone who will make you feel unsafe in your own place. We were extremely relieved when he finally agreed to leave the flat. This was definitely a lesson for us.

What was also extremely disappointing was that this company's Plentific profile showed %100 positive feedback (9 in total), one of the reasons we agreed to work with them. We left a 1-star review explaining what happened and it is still "being reviewed" after a week even though we submitted photos. At this point, we're not so sure if there were actually other bad reviews for this company "still being reviewed" but not shown on their profile when we initially checked them. So more people will probably end up hiring them and have bad experiences.

Based on this extremely bad experience and how Plentific chose to handle it, we cannot trust this platform anymore. We will not be using Plentific again.

Used a number of times.

Had a very good experience with this company. Have not used this type of service before. I posted a job, they got in touch within 30 mins with suggestions for whom to use. Then they helped me by calling and following up with some of them on my behalf. The carpenter was professional and courteous and completed the job on time.

I have used them several times since my first experience.

Really good end to end service.

Great service

Received multiple quotes for my moving/furniture assembly job and after using the quick chat decided on the best pro. Job was done efficiently and as all communication was done (plus payment) over the website it all felt very secure. Will definitely use again.

Total waste of time

Total waste of time. Been messaging back and forth with a tradesmen for over a weekto fix a time and then doesn't turn up. Can't be bothered with this anymore. Don't waste your time if you are hoping to get something done.

Of no practical use

I've tried plentific a couple of times in York, for a plumber to re-fit a bathroom and to find a joiner to hang a door.
I received no responses to either request, other than the automatic emails generated by plentific.
Verdict: Of no practical use.

I would not use this company again

I would not use this company again. The engineer came to my house in mid-May. Thereafter I had to spend my time chasing him for the report and I had no response until I logged a complaint with the Support team. The engineer was a nice guy but did not communicate well and it was very difficult for my builder to get in touch with him despite our having his mobile number! Furthermore he provided a very basic report, which actually contained no calculations and so I've now had to pay a second engineer to do it properly. Perhaps this could have been avoided with better communication from the service. Disappointing experience.

Truly terrible company, Stay Away!!

I have used Plentific from the start and their behaviour has actually been atrocious. In the first 2 weeks they provide a good service but slowly you will realise all the hidden charges and pointless fees here and there. They charge professionals unrealistic fees and provide or have no loyalty to they're professionals. They have changed their business model 4 - 5 times all at the professionals expense. This can be forgiven but what adds insult to injury is that when speaking to them they will lie to your face without a shred of dignity. If I am mistaken please please feel free to try Plentific yourself.
