Be very careful with this company, specially if you are a woman

Profesional people leave an invoice with the client with a breakdown of the cost per hour and extra parts. The clien don't have to chase them for it. There shoul not be any advance to female client, specially is the client is young. Because of the cultural differences they should have a police check on them as they could be potentially dangerous. They don't use new parts but over charge you super over charge and ask to see the invoice and they get threatening.

Leaking radiator valve replaced

Anthony O’Rafferty (plumber) fixed our leaking radiator valve within 3 hours of my call. Prices were quoted beforehand so knew what I was paying before agreeing to the visit.

Emergency Plumber is a big and expensive con

I contacted the Emergency Plumber via 07720247247 during bank holidays back in August 2018. The pump in a flash system in the toilet wouldn’t close and the water was running through. It wasn’t a case of high emergency but I wanted to have it fixed for the tenant. I contacted a plumber I have used before but he was honest that he would not be able to buy parts as all shops were shut and more likely would not fix it immediately.
Calling the EP I did ask them about the parts and they confirmed that they have all they may need. They asked me to pay a deposit of £70.80 ( that was explained in their later message as £56 excluded VAT). The same message was stating that additional £90 excluded VAT per hour are to be paid to the engineer. The plumber name Jake has arrived, took the flush system apart and guess what.... Surely, he didn’t have parts and left. He quoted me next day £195 for the job but I was so disappointed that I didn’t want to deal with them anymore. To make the story even more exiting I should admit that I didn’t spend a penny and fixed the flash myself. I found an instruction to the system, took the parts out, removed caulk , cleaned dirt and put them all back. The plumber Jake should be ashamed of asking £195 on the top of those £70.80 that I paid for the phone call. No reply to my complaint! What a big con! Avoid!!!

Complete cowboys

Had a leaking radiator and no local plumbers would respond to my calls.
Tried plumber24hours.co.uk and they were awful, says 30-90 minutes on their website but they took over 6 hours, he was only coming 25 miles but apparently had other appointments to make first. Was not contacted I had to contact them to see where they were after 4 hours.

They are complete cowboys because they wanted to flood my home with water from the radiators, wanted to drain the entire system but could not find the drain valve, then he mentioned he could do it with a hose pipe but could not guarantee there would not be loads of water, then mentioned he could cut a pipe under a floor board and let the water soak into the floor void.

All that was needed was to drain a radiator, I figured this myself but he said it cannot be done when I asked if he could do that. I sent him packing but still had to pay the call out charge and an hour, even though the plumber did nothing and was here for 20 minutes, he produced a bill for 40 minutes work!

Eventually I called a big national firm and they came out within 30 minutes and fixed the problem within 1 hour by simply draining the radiator and fitting a new joint and bit of pipe.

Seems this company just wanted to take as long as possible and were not interested in the best route to fix the problem. They would of happily flooded my home with water and charged me a huge fee.

Rogue Trader

I contacted this company for a quote having found the details through a business search website which provided reviews. Through email contact, having fully described all the problems experienced, I was emailed back with details of the service I would need, along with the quote. I agreed to the cost and service being offered and followed instructions as advised by company to call when the problems were noticeable and detectable, knowing it would be a weekend at unsociable hours.
I called as requested and was told the trader wasn't available. I explained the contact with the company, what type of plumber was needed as advised by the company and what it was for. I was told no problem and asked to pay a deposit of £65 immediately and another £95 to the plumber when he arrived. I declined as I explained the agreement between me and the company was quoted a total of £99. But he insisted I still had the pay the deposit regardless of any agreed prices. I informed him that I was not informed of any deposits or terms and conditions which he told me to take it up with the trader. But it was the traders phone number I contacted, as I did with emails. I was left with no choice but to pay the deposit requested, leaving my balance at £34 owed to the company. My bank card information, address and email details were requested and was told the receipt would be emailed to me and the plumber would arrive up to 90 minutes.
The plumber arrived just after 12.30, having waited more than an hour and failed to carry out any sort of investigation or checks nor did he provide the service offered in the agreement. The plumber was also not qualified or experienced in the field that was needed and agreed in our contract. The plumber diagnosed the problem without any visual or physical checks within minutes of arriving with instructions on the solution to lessen the problem. Despite showing and describing the problems, he insisted he could not detect it as it was not present in his presence. Although it was clearly noticeable. He was finished in less than 10 minutes, requiring the full cost of £95. I explained full details of the agreement with the company when the plumber stated he did not work for the agency and was not informed of my requirements. He said the company act as an agent who have sub contractors. Despite explaining my dissatisfaction, I had to pay the cost of £95. But the plumber tried to leave without giving me a receipt which I had to ask for.nthe plumber left having spent less than 15 minutes in my home. I contacted the trader again requesting my receipt for the deposit and informing of my dissatisfaction with the service provided. I then wrote an email requesting a refund as I was not provided with a reasonable service at a reasonable cost. My refund was declined and I emailed my complained, requesting the refund again and failure to do so would result in me having to take matters further with negative feedback. I was hounded by calls and emails, warning me of legal action and charging me for losses if I left negative feedback. I continued to receive calls and emails having left a true and honest review, which the trader replied to with lies and unfair and very unprofessional comments.
He has since blocked reviews being left after more customers surfaced with negative reviews. When I checked my bank account, I was charged £69 and not £65 as requested by call handler. Not only was I mislead with the service I needed, the dishonesty with charging me £65 more than agreed cost and charging me a higher cost for the deposit and failing to provide me with a receipt, then using bullying tactics into trying to intimidate and scare me, proves this company to be a rogue trader.
