I reached out to Plusheat and received a very quick and curious response from David with a revised quotation which I was happy to accept. This is my second year with Plusheat and found them very helpful and approachable. David, from his response. I felt understood the situation without any fuss or unnecessary persuasion. He was very professional, pleasant and his excellent customer service is a credit to Plusheat, my query was resolved quickly. I had my service completed by plushest last year and the whole service is both comparible, if not better than the more well known companies. I took out a full policy 4 months ago
I had to call them in to fix a leaking valve on a radiator
I paid the call out fee of £59
Engineer turned up took a photo and went
They emailed me stating I need to pay another £79 pounds to replace the leaking valve as the system needs draining down
What a con what’s the point of this cover if you have to pay more and more to get jobs done
I paid £216 for the cover £59 call out
And still no fix of radiator
Plusheat are rip off merchants I’ve been coned
Take care folks don’t trust this co
It is not the draining of the radiator it’s the draining of your wallet they want

Avoid these jokers at all cost!
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with PlusHeat has been shocking.
I was left with no heating or hot water for over 40 hours during freezing conditions (around 2°C), with a 9-month-old baby and two 3-year-old children in the house. This is not just inconvenient — it’s completely unacceptable and potentially dangerous.
Despite reporting the issue immediately, I was told no engineer could attend for nearly two days. During that time:
Communication was poor and inconsistent
I was left chasing updates
No urgency was shown despite having a vulnerable household
When an engineer finally attended, I then had to deal with further issues including a leak after the visit, adding even more stress.
What makes this worse is the way the complaint has been handled. The company acknowledged delays and failings — yet their “gesture of goodwill” was £7.99 (one month free). That is genuinely insulting given the situation.
They have attempted to deflect responsibility by blaming a third-party gas meter issue, but that does not excuse:
The delay in response
The lack of proper communication
The failure to prioritise a family with young children
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services should be carried out with reasonable care and within a reasonable timeframe. This clearly did not happen.
I would strongly advise anyone considering PlusHeat to think carefully. When you actually need them, they may not deliver.

Refusal to call me back/ not even find a plumber to pay
The last time they sent someone to service under the sink they only taped up the waste pipe adaptor with a crack, not replacing it.
When I couldn't get my new washer installed because of this, I called plus heat to ask if they could send someone (and the situation arose because of their contractor 2 years previously). They hummed and haa-ed and said they would get back to me the next day. They did not and it cost me hundreds in an out of hours plumber.
