I ordered a floor which arrived damaged…

I ordered a floor which arrived damaged and so I sent them a picture of the damage which was in one corner.

They agreed to send another one and arrange collection of the one I had, which had already been taken out of the box, which was a feat in itself being so huge.

I decided that the place the damage was could be covered as it was by a wheel arch and I wouldn't be able to wait for another.

I asked them not to send another as I have now fitted it but would appreciate a part refund. I would have been happy with £20 but they did not agree this despite me having already shown them pictures from the box.

I said I thought this was bad customer service just because I agreed to keep the damaged floor that they would not even offer a part refund of £20

Would not deal with them again. She was happy for a negative review instead of issuing a £20 refund.

Badly fitting & damage to vehicle via screws through from inside to outside

Had a ply lining kit, floor and wheel boxes fitted on the 10th May 2022 to my MWB Crafter.

Whilst the price was very competitive it was a big mistake to have them do the fitting.

Nothing wrong with the standard CNC cut ply kit, but the fitting has left 12+ mild steel screws puncturing the floor pan & wheel arches and will directly cause the body to rot over time.

Now faced with rectifying the damage they have caused to avoid future issues with rust rotting out the floor pan and wheel arches.

On pointing out the issue to the company they just said they'd fitted many kits exactly like this, confirming that I had not just had a bad fitter unfortunately and that they routinely compromise the floor and wheel arches of the vans they fit. Both Kelly in the office and Tim the managing director confirmed this to be the case.

Additionally the fitting around the side step was poor; just left floating with one end untrimmed.

They over torqued many of the screws into the metalwork on the side panels leaving the screws spinning and the ply not well secured.

Two of the panels don't fit well needing a few millimetres trimmed and they just bent them up against the front bulkhead and left them badly fitted for the sake of a few minutes work.

On emailing them about these issues and ringing them to discuss I was dismissed, talked over and then harassed by Tim the managing director, who issued vague threats and seemed affronted that I was questioning his practice of damaging the integrity of the floor pan & wheel arches by drill through them inside to out.

My advice would be to avoid at all costs unless you are happy to have them damage the integrity of the underseal of your vehicle by running multiple screws through it.
