Just wanted to thank you for your amazing response today to my little emergency. 3 years ago we bought a new front door from you and today for some reason the lock broke and I couldn’t get back into the house. Within 30 minutes of me calling you someone came out, opened the door and fitted a brand new locking mechanism. That’s the value of buying from a great local business- could not recommend them highly enough to anyone in the Cottenham area.

Had a new door fitted from Polarglaze on an old property where everything was wonky - they installed it perfectly! They also accommodated our needs around protecting a clinically vulnerable family member in our household. Highly recommend.

Replacing old sliding doors and windows in our kitchen was made very simple, from the visit to provide a quotation, to installation very soon after. The work done was smart, clean and very professional looking. Super impressed!

We have had all our windows, doors and conservatory installed by Polarglaze and can highly recommend their advice, expertise and craftsmanship. Their after-sales service is exemplary. A recent accidental breakage to one of our windows was rectified promptly , skillfully and without any fuss.

I contacted Polarglaze upon receiving a home survey of a house we were planning to buy, where the doors and windows have deteriorated and needed to be replaced. Unlike other window and door installers, Jamie replied with a rough estimate almost instantly, which really helped us when negotiating the price.

After buying the house Polarglaze then replaced both doors and all 6 windows as soon as they arrived. They were very responsive with their communication and the process from ordering to installation was really straightforward. The new windows and doors were fantastic and I experienced no problems with them. I would very much recommend Polarglaze and would happily use them again.

Ollie, Alan and Dan were super-efficient, highly competent artisans, which helped fade our pre-construction anxieties the instant work commenced.

And by the end of a normal length day, the Polarglaze team had completed the installation of two highest quality, elegant, hyperrealistic Oak-appearance, super-strong composite security doors.

So using Aussie style lingo:

"No worries mate if your installers are Polarglaze!"

Just had Patio doors, front door and 6 windows replaced by Polarglaze and am very happy with the work done and results.
Jamie came and gave advice and quoted, work was done within the time Jamie stated. Called Anthony in the office for a couple of minor adjustments to be done. They came out promptly and resolved all.
I can highly recommend Polarglaze Ltd as a friendly efficient and competent company.

We've just had ten windows replaced in our new house. Jamie came for a quote within a few days, the quote was reasonable, and a month later the windows have all been fitted: job done in two days, and they tidied up well afterwards. The new windows look excellent and they've fitted and finished them well. Will happily use them again.

They erected large garden room on the back of our house. It had a lightweight tiled roof with glass full length panels.
They handled the project from start to finish. They also have a first rate after sales service.
I would recommend them without reservation.

The only amazing thing about polarglaze is that they are still in business after fitting poor quality windows and doors that are about as airtight as a fishing net . After five attempts to fix a patio door they had fitted, I gave up and called an independent professional to fix them, he could not believe the shoddy work carried out by polarglaze .
Don't waste your money and use someone else. Yes it actually happened, despite the reply

The work completed is of the highest standard. The team worked extremely hard and in exceptionally hot weather. They arrived when they said they would and finished the job when they said they would. They cleared up the mess created by these installations.
We are so very pleased with our replacement windows, front door and area surrounding the front door. It is so smart.

We had our front window half bricked up and a replacement window fitted. Done in 2 days. Excellent work done with professionalism, (by Sean and Dan). Very pleased. We would definitely recommend Polarglaze.

Windows and doors in my house were installed by Polarglaze about 20 years ago.
They have been problem free all this time. Recently one window has misted . Polarglaze came to measure and then replace. Excellent service by Chris . Would definitely recommend and buy again from them.

We have had 3 window panes replaced and a brand new shiny red front door installed by Polarglaze.
Windows were replaced swiftly enough and cleaned before the installer finished.
The Front Door was also quickly & efficiently installed. Being a composite door, it fits so well & opens so smoothly.
This was also cleaned & tidied before finish.
Yes, I would recommend Polarglaze to everyone who needs new Windows/Doorst.

A lovely chap came to adjust a door that Polarglaze fitted years ago, so not under guarantee anymore. He did a fabulous job and was punctual, polite and friendly. There wasn’t a charge for this! In the past, we had all of our windows and doors fitted by Polarglaze and have always had great after service. A great company to deal with!

BEWARE: Very poor warranty service
Still trying, after 3 months, to get a failed vacuum sealed unit replaced under the 10 year FENSA backed warranty. Either my emails get ignored and they claim not to have received them despite no email bounce back, or I get the answerphone and no returned call. I have reached the point where I am about to give these guys 28 days notice of legal proceedings for breach of contract.

I agree with the previous reviewer. We experienced a poor level of workmanship, had to get them back twice to rectify. They had left gaps and exposed silicone which had been poorly applied, colour didn't match and finish was unacceptable. They are a friendly team but I think like many local companies in Cottenham/Cambridge they have got arrogant as they have a good local reputation. They were very good 10 years ago, getting sloppy now.

Great windows and doors, can’t fault them on this but the brick layer leaves a lot to be desired, had to knock down original brick work as out of level and left the inside a mess the second time. I’d recommend them on the windows and doors but that’s it . After so many recommendations I feel let down.

We decided to go with a Polarglaze, a local company based in Cottenham, after being unconvinced by the representatives of a couple of national double glazing companies that we saw.

The sales process was simple and straight forward, non of the usual flannel about needing to phone the office to get an extra discount if you pay up there and then or special cash-back/scrappage deals. The sales person measured up, gave us a very competitive price and left, saying if we decided to go with them to give him a call. No nonsense, no hard sell, no complex discount structures or special deals.

The fitters were employed by the company, not contractors. They completed 12 windows and 2 doors in 3 days to a very high standard without any mess and an excellent finish.

Best of all the price we paid was significantly less than the prices quoted by the national companies, even if you include all the 'special' discounts we were offered.

Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
