Extreme buerocracy, no support for foreigners, nobody speaks English,

France lives under the rock and is extremely conservative, old-fashioned and close-minded. France travail agency is the same. It is worse than job agency in Slovakia. Even we have people who speak English so they can talk to foreigners and help them find jobs. I thought my country was bad until I came to France.

Nobody speaks English at the agency and everything is stuck in the past. There is zero help for foreigners. I had to go there with translator. Going there in person was absolutely unnecessary and waste of time and money. Mind you, I'm unemployed and don't have money for traveling so it's absolutely ridiculous asking people to come to the agency in person. I'm glad that after that, I didn't have to come there again and I can do things online.

The website is slow, outdated, often doesn't work and barely offers any job postings in English. The only ones available are part-time jobs for students. It's impossible to find work there despite the fact I have Master's degree. Most job offers are offered by some agencies where you have to register which is super annoying.

The worst part is that France Travail has a terrible online security system. My personal information has been stolen by cammers who hack into the system many times, and I'm receiving tons of spam and scam calls.

There's no option to change the language, so I have to use translators every time I log in. This is very inconvenient when you're a beginner in French.

They don't offer jobs to people with disabilities and they don't provide any financial help for unemployed people, despite the fact I've been working in Slovakia since I was 18. I get zero financial support and all training programs are only in French. I don't even get financial support for French courses. As you know, they are extremely expensive im France so I can't afford them since I don't have income. Therefore, I can't progress with the languge and anything in my life. There is zero mental support help. This institution is useless.

If you want to work in France as a foreigner, don't waste your time and go to a country that is more international.

100% BULL et pas confidentiels

I am glad that I no longer have to deal with any BS from this people. They are useless and are linked with the whole local network which they report to about everything.

I have a few nightmare stories about the Pole Emploi but I believe my comments will be deleted if I post them so I would rather not say anything about my personal experience.
However I was very shocked to see a member of staff make a gesture as she was leaving the room with a job seeker.

The funny thing is I never had any need to join this service as I was not receiving any money form them ever, but had to due to purely administrational reasons.
