Very pleased with the service and products. Wanted some soft brushed gold coloured poles and found just the ones. The curtain rings are also very good and run smoothly on the poles.

Solid curtain pole
Searching online for a solid-walled metal curtain pole rather than telescopic or no-drill versions, I came across Poles Direct, which had exactly what I wanted.
The website was easy to use and pay for, and delivery was as expected. The pole was very well packaged and arrived in pristine condition. They even supply a couple of small Allen keys to fit the end finials once the pole is cut to length, and they only need two supports, no centre one.
They will be the supplier of choice, as over time I plan to replace a couple of telescopic poles that sag a little and need a centre support, which stops you from positioning the curtains at one end of the pole.
Highly recommended.

I struggled to differentiate between the photographs and the descriptions of pole on the website. I ended up having to call customer services for an explanation. However, I then ordered some curtain b rings to supplement the ones that came with the pole and ended up with the wrong ones even though I spent a long time trying to find the correct style.

Scammers
The item was described in the large title as aged oak and was in fact in metal poles with laminate covering. Do not order expecting wood as the poles are metal with an “effect” covering. Called customer services who refused a refund, I am currently this company reporting to trading standards.

We're very sorry that you're unhappy with the product received. Normally we'd have been able to accept a return and issue a refund, but as you requested for them to be cut down, this made them a made-to- measure product and not eligible for return or refund.
We also do specify in the product description that it is Age Oak "Effect" - please see the following excerpt from the product description, located just under the images.
"The sophisticated antique brass end caps and rich aged oak effect finish complement a variety of interior styles."
