Used polyvine decorators varnish on emulsioned walls a around cooker, dishwasher, microwave and bins to help with keeping walls clean a month after decorating. Unfortunately despite it being advertised as clear it changed the colour of my walls. So kitchen has had to be decorated again £250 down the drain

I use Polyvine products almost every day - my go to brand for a professional finish! Always very friendly and helpful customer service.

Phoned up for exterior oak and they were very helpful to guide me towards their exterior and interior wood oil. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and the product was perfect for the application

I will definitely go back to try out the other products

Casamite wood glue - bad batch.

I didn't even bother emailing as it's easy for people to brush you off, so I rang and got talking to the stupidest careless woman ever. Had no interest in the problem and put me on hold about 5 times. Then wouldn't let me speak to her manager to get problem advice and support. Very unprofessional and disappointing. That staff member should be removed and customer service improved. Will never use any polyvine products again.

A bit dissatisfied with the finish. I ordered the flat Matt to go on top of Zinsser Allcoat satin, which was too shiny for me. It has changed the finish slightly but is definitely is not flat matt, even though I used three coats.

I used Decorators Varnish (dead matt) to protect bathroom walls as couldn't find my paint colour in a bathroom finish. It was ok though areas of regular condensation left streaky marks on the walls, it didn't wipe completely clean. (I made sure the product was a 100% dry before using the bathroom the first time.) The real problem arose when we decided to repaint the bathroom. Nowhere on the product or Polyvine's website or online leaflets does it tell you you need to sand/key walls where you have used this product and with it being dead matt it didn't occur to me that this would be necessary. We are now finding the paint peels/chips off at the slightest knock and where damp towels hang. I emailed Polyvine with a polite query asking their advice and received an acknowledgement saying they would reply asap - they haven't. We are having to sand off all the paint, sand down the varnish and start again. It's a huge amount of work which we could have been spared with better product info. We are very disappointed not only in the product info but the very poor customer service/lack of response.
Edit: I posted this in Oct 2020 and have received response from Polyvine 21st Aug 2024 which in itself speaks volumes!!

I used dead flat and then satin on some wood worktops and followed the instructions to the letter. Waste of time and expense as the product peeled and cracked within days. Looks terrible and was very expensive. Baffled by previous good reviews elsewhere. Don’t waste your money, very disappointed.

Please don't buy crystal clear lacquer, once its dried the varnish looks cracked. I contacted Polyvine directly however they even don't bother to reply.

Customer service should care more about customers and at least respond email.

Polyvine Metallic Paint £59.99 - Lumpy Paint, Apalling Customer Care

On opening the tin it was full of lumps, the bottom of the tin was solid with lumpy clots, impossible to use and covered badly. I have ordered this product before but not in a tin and its been fine for a long time. I contacted Stagedepot the reseller who would not send a replacement tin and said "Polyvine head office had said to sieve the remaining paint and it would be fine, it wasn't". An utter waste of money and appalling service.
Don't waste your money and if you buy any Polyvine product be sure to open it straight away!
