The man who owns this company is nothing but a scammer and conman . Doesn’t send orders , takes money for lay away and then just shuts his Wigan store down and the stock is gone . We’ve since discovered he also abruptly shut his bury store too ! Yet is opening more stores ? Has multiple companies on companies house ??
He is nothing but a con man .
Avoid this company, cancelled an order online with them and not given my money back. I'm glad I've payed through PayPal and opened a dispute with them. Pop Patrol sent an e cheque and then cancelled it. Waited 4 weeks to get my money back. I have my refund from PayPal.
Avoid.
Placed an order but never received shipping notification. After two weeks I emailed pop patrol and received an auto reply informing me that I would receive a proper reply within 48hours. After three more days I still didn’t receive a reply so emailed once more and again no reply.
Thankfully I paid through PayPal and opened up a dispute which was resolved in my favour immediately. I now have my refund through paypal and will not be using pop patrol again.
My son discovered this website as they stocked some items he'd really been wanting but couldn't find (or at least at a reasonable price). I ordered a few other bits and would probably have become a regular customer as I love pop culture/comic/cult film type stuff; as they were new to me I wanted to see how it worked out before buying anything more expensive. I really wanted to like the company but am very disappointed. First of all, my order didn't arrive, I didn't get any updates about dispatch etc. My son kept excitedly asking pretty much every day but with the recent strikes etc and assuming it was a relatively small business, I wanted to give them plenty of time. Eventually I tried to contact them but there's no email contact and I wasn't sure which shop the order was coming from, if any, to call. I tried the webform 4 times in all but have never received a reply. On Facebook there was a WhatsApp option, someone did get back to me quickly through that. They said my order never reached Royal Mail and I would be refunded (did wonder if I was just being fobbed off as I wasn't offered a replacement and there had been zero updates regarding posting out, but gave the benefit of the doubt - plus I've experienced similar shops selling, for example, graphic novels etc that don't always have the stock in straight off and sometimes refund quite a bit later). An email came through shortly after showing my order status as Refunded. Two weeks later, still no refund. Webform of course useless as ever and I've been ignored altogether now on WhatsApp. Maybe the shops themselves are great but the online ordering experience/ online customer service has been dreadful and I won't be bothering again. It looks like I'll have to open a Paypal dispute to get my refund, which looks like a faff in itself (I've never needed to open one before). It takes a lot for me to leave negative reviews but coming up to a month now wasting my energy on this company, they've certainly done it for me.
Great for collectors items. Used them online for some hard to get items at some great prices. Collection in store available. They have real life shops too, I went to their Bury town centre store. Great friendly service. Will definitely be using them again.
