Because our bags are made from real leather that is not synthetically coated or painted over, natural markings such as spots, grain variation, and occasional scars are part of what makes each piece unique. We own and operate our artisan workshop, The Studio, in León, Mexico, located near two of the most respected tanneries in North America. I love PLG
I love PLG, I got my first bag 10 months ago, have been hooked ever since! The make wonderful gifts for my sister, DIL, and once my granddaughters are old enough, I know they will enjoy them as well.
Quality made, I have ordered Almost Perfect , which is great as well. Love the c sale , they make it fun to shop!! Have a list of bags to purchase, but worried I maybe a tad obsessed.

Beautiful tote!
My bag arrived pretty quickly and when I opened the box I was greeted by the most gorgeous bag. The leather was scrumptious and the smell was amazing! The color of the ColdBrew is beautiful and the texture is so squishy and soft. The only thing that was a negative was that the straps were sharp along the edges and it even cut my thumb when I picked it up to put over my shoulders. I had to sand them down to make them softer with a nail file. I then conditioned the edges and rubbed them vigorously. Everything turned out just fine. I received another tote a week later and there were no issues with the straps so maybe it was a one off issue.

Tarnished hardware
I received this premium swing bag, and the hardware was rusted on the left tree. It was also considerably smaller than the other two. I reached out to customer service, and despite three emails to them, was told that it was normal and an “brushed look.” Although it was clearly tarnished, crooked, and smaller. I posted a review on the Portland Leather Goods website, and my review was deleted. The watermelon color I purchased is no longer available.

I was skeptical of Portland Leather products before I purchased my first bag! I am in absolute LOVE. Compared to other leather bags, they hold up very well. I have become a PLG ambassador (not officially) — everytime I’m out and get the chance, I brag about this company!! Hands down— I’m a customer for life.
