Useless Ransom Scammers

I sent an iPhone in hopes to recover a *single* audio file. I had to bug them to find out if any progress had been made, after which they told me that it was unrecoverable and then wanted to charge me *$79* to get it back. (Shipping plus "Extra fees incurred from company policies.") Otherwise they were going to recycle.

So I paid to have it shipped it to them, and then had to pay their ransom fee to get it back, all for nothing.

Utter low-life scammers. Don't not use them.

Sold me a locked phone when they…

Sold me a locked phone when they advertised as unlocked. Then offered a $20 refund or full return.
I would've appreciated them having the device unlocked and sent back out or even guided assistance.
But this was the solution.
False advertisement and waste of time.

Galaxy A20

I've recently bought a Samsung Galaxy A20 and first off, judging by the title of the phone where it says scratches/burn. I was kinda worried about what will it look like or will it be like it says in the picture. Fast forward 3 days later, it arrived. I was excited to see it and once I opened it, the phone was greatly wrapped and secured. Once I opened the plastic bag that the phone came in, The phone looked as they just bought a new phone and sent it. But I do see some dirt and I didn't see no signs of ware and tare on the device. As a tester, I tested everything and everything went through as normal even fingerprint scanner, nfc, wifi, cellular, sim card/slot, and more. There weren't no burn marks however, I did see this one tiny barely seen scratch on the top of the device. But that didn't stop me from returning it. Battery was ok and the reason of ok because once your phone reaches 15% battery it will immediately freak out and start darning the batter down to 0% and once you put it on the charger it will take time for it to est the time for the charge to start. Other wise the battery can last between 1-3 days if you don't use it as much. Gaming on this device was good. Camera was a little laggy but great. Calling was not so good because of the tiny mic. I had to use airpods for it to pickup. Please note this is a chinese phone so of course there's some to not so problems. The phone was fixable and will I suggest this company again? Highly YES and I will buy phones from here for a very low cost. Is there anything to suggest to the website? I would suggest adding more photos to the phones so the people can take a good look. I also suggest updating the phone imei so the people can have it like-new. Otherwise the website looks legit and not a scam.

They sold me A lost /stolen tablet

They sold me A lost /stolen tablet. I got it as a backup and didn't try to activate it right away. When I did and realized it was lost/stolen they responded... "We follow eBay's 30 day return policy. It looks like the time for your return on this item has ended, so unfortunetly there is nothing we are able to do. Any issues needed to be reported within 30 days."

One defective part, but quickly replaced

I ordered two used memory modules for an old iMac and received them within a few days. One was defective, but when I contacted them, they immediately sent me a replacement, no questions asked. The replacement arrived quickly and worked fine.

THEY SAVED MY DATA WHEN NO ONE ELSE…

THEY SAVED MY DATA WHEN NO ONE ELSE COULD !

One day, my macbook pro decided not to respond to the power button - no response at all.

Apple quoted weeks to repair, and probably wouldn't have saved my data.

Two separate Apple-authorized repair centers couldn't fix, they only swap logic boards which wouldn't have my data - cost me a total of $3000 !

Powerbook Medic fixed it int two days by simply cleaning out a bit of corrosion on the board - and saved my data - for $345 !!!!!!!!!

great experience with iPhone logic board repair

Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from - as my experience was nothing but pleasant. I sent my iPhone 6s to them to have the logic board repaired (I shorted something out while trying to replace the battery myself). They received the phone via UPS on a Monday. They diagnosed the problem, confirmed they could fix it, and started repairing it on Tuesday. Completed repairs on Wednesday. Had it shipped out back to me on Wednesday night, and I had the phone in hand again on Friday afternoon. They kept me informed via email every step of the way, the price was reasonable, and I was only without my phone for 7 days (and 4 of those days were for shipping!). I would without a doubt use Powerbook Medic again for logic board issues and would recommend them to friends.

Bad products

I bought a new logic board from this company that included the homebutton which is married to the logic board. The parcel arrives and the homebutton cable is cut in half and made to look like it was not damaged. The logic board did not include the shields/screws that go with the board.

When I confronted the seller, the seller tries to blame me for the homebutton being broken and claims that logic boards does not come with shields (Clearly the shields go with the logic board since they are there to protect the components inside).

This is not a serious company that i really do not recommend!

Don’t buy their parts!

i bought a used part from this company. They said after I complained it isn’t working that they tested the product and sent it in working condition. 20% of the keys on the keyboard type the wrong letter if they work at all. I press “B” and it types “bxcnv”. I type the ‘ amd it mutes my volume. I can turn down brightness but not bring it back up. They claimed to send me a working keyboard. I installed my logicboard to a working MacBook I borrowed and it works fine. I installed the logicboard from the borrowed MacBook and it does the same problems. They say send it back, and what pay more postage, get 15% knocked off from a restocking fee. It don’t work And these guys will sell it to someone else by the sounds of things.

Un-necessary billing policies are inconvenient and stupid

I ordered a logic board from them and within 15 minutes I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled. When I called to find out why they told me that my bank had not honored the charge because I told them to ship it to a different address from my billing address. I called up my bank and they told me that it WAS NOT their policy to stop charges from going through because the shipping address was different from the billing. Not only that but the charge DID go through as the money WAS deducted from my account. So the money comes out instantly but now, because of Powerbook medics policy, I have to wait 2-3 days(possibly more) to get the money back so I can try to purchase the part again. This whole mishap will hold me up for a week or more. No other merchant has ever given me a problem about shipping to different addresses. So needless to say, if this is PBM's policy, I will not be trying to do business with them again. This was unacceptable!

My issue with this company !!

My issue with this company is their qualifications regarding resellers. I am a state, IRS computer reseller for the pass 25 yrs. contacted Powerbookmedic regarding reseller application. Well instead of them asking for your yrs of experience, certifications an/or state certs, they wanted to know if you have placed 5 or more invoices with the company an if so you QUALIFY. Why not just ask for a $500.00 application fee. What a bunch of CRAP.

Do not ever trust, or use this company.

This is a terrible company. After sending in my near-new computer with a minor crack to the screen, and expecting a replacement, I was not contacted for 3 weeks with an assessment. It then took another 2 weeks for them to "fix" it, and at that point I received an email saying that the hard-drive no longer worked. This computer was up and running perfectly before I sent it in but now I have to pay (another company) to fix it. I shipped my computer in the original box I had it shipped to me in, but I still received a 10 dollar "bad box" fee, which is decided single handedly by the company, with no customer input. Now, I have been waiting to receive my computer, and UPS comes and needs someone over 21 to sign for it, so I still cannot receive it. I am 19, and the company knows I am 19, yet they still made it so someone over 21 has to sign for it, so now I'm not sure if I will ever see it again. Bottom line, do not use this website, it is a complete scam and a money stealer.
