Complete disaster with the delivery company DPD.First delivery driver drove straight past as we watched him (he didn’t even look ) then we received a text saying message saying we weren’t in ???.Second delivery same thing ??
Third delivery took a photo of no 64 (we are 44)and said again we weren’t in
Pretty obvious driver couldn’t be bothered to drop off our parcel.Then told we had to pick up 50 miles away ! No Thankyou
We had had enough so cancelled order Niw waiting for a refund .

Good website fast delivery couldn't ask for more

I ordered a sander that should have been delivered on Thursday 9th July it didn’t arrive dpd sent a message saying it wouldn’t be delivered because of unforeseen problems in my area. I ordered this tool for a specific job that I had booked in for the 11th July 2026. I got on the phone to power tool world who said yes there had been a problem but he would upgrade the delivery to Saturday between 8.00 and 10.30 it is now Monday the 13th and I’m still waiting. I let a long term of many years client down and also lost money. I had an e-mail from power tool world saying that dpd don’t know where the tool is and that they power tool world would be in touch as soon as possible. 😡 I called power tool world to get a refund so that I could purchase the tool from another company D&M tools because I have never had a problem with them. I was told by the lady on the phone that she couldn’t give me a refund until the tool is returned to them , a tool that dpd have no idea to its whereabouts. This means I have to spend more money to purchase another machine so that I can do the job this week. I told the lady that customers shouldn’t be involved. It is a problem between power tool world and dpd to sort out and the tool should be returned to them as I didn’t want to wait possibly 6days.

My overall experience with PowerToolWorld has been very disappointing.

I ordered branded tools expecting them to arrive in new, clean and satisfactory condition. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The Milwaukee M18 FUEL multi-tool arrived dusty/marked and, in my view, did not look like a properly presented brand-new tool. There were also areas of the casing that appeared misaligned or not sitting flush, which immediately raised concerns about the condition of the item supplied.

I also received a Makita SDS+ chisel set where one of the chisels had visible damage/deformation to the working edge. This was particularly frustrating because the item was purchased as new, and I do not accept that a new chisel should arrive with pre-existing damage before it has even been used.

What made the situation worse was PowerToolWorld’s response. I provided photographs and video evidence, but the concerns were largely dismissed. I was told that the dust on the Milwaukee tool was “packaging dust” due to bulk items being reboxed individually, and that the damaged chisel was apparently just how it had been manufactured. In my opinion, those explanations were inadequate and did not properly address the condition of the goods I actually received.

The offer of 10% of the chisel price in loyalty points also felt like a token gesture rather than a proper resolution. I did not want loyalty points — I wanted the matter dealt with properly.

When a customer buys new tools, particularly premium brands such as Milwaukee and Makita, they should arrive clean, undamaged and in a condition that gives confidence. If there is a genuine issue, the retailer should deal with it fairly rather than dismissing the customer’s evidence.

Based on this experience, I would be reluctant to buy from PowerToolWorld again, especially for higher-value tools. My experience with their quality control and after-sales support has left me with little confidence.
