Awful customer service & comms

Tried to charge 130£ for a change in delivery address of 5 miles. Explained that I did not live on the address input, so I would need to wait on the street for the large delivery. They then kept pushing back the 2 hour delivery timeslot, so I went into a pub to wait as I had been waiting in the freezing cold for over 2 hours waiting for them, and they confirmed they would call me when they arrived as they had given the driver my number. Of course no phonecall, my large and heavy delivery was dumped unceremoniously right in front of the front door of the apartment block, pissing off the inhabitants - and I was not able to move it by myself until my husband arrived with the van that evening. So if they had called me I would have shown them where to leave it - to the side of the building, out of the way. But despite multiple written confirmations, no such treatment.

We have been successfully working with PPL for nearly 10 years. So, after many thousands of deliveries and tens of thousands of pallet movements we can definitely say this is a great company to work with, very pro-active and professional. Highly recommended!

I had a delivery scheduled

I had a delivery scheduled. The driver unloaded the goods into the road (I live in London and do not have a driveway) without me knowing.
I had explained that the tiles could come into the entrance (ground floor) but I was told that they didn't offer this service.
I therefore had to move the tiles from the pallet in the road to my apartment.
I was not told that this would be the case, and would not recommend to anybody who is registered disabled or has mobility issues.
I did call customer service, they also did not care and hung up on me.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

Shockingly bad driving in a PPL vehicle!!

Shockingly bad driving!!
A19 Escrick, York, Shell Garage area. 13h20 11/02/2022
Wow!! Turning out the garage, one of your drivers was speeding in a 40 mph zone, in a PPL signed vehicle. He skreeched up to the back of me, (I had just turned into the A19), flashed his lights and sat on my tail. White male around 50ish in age. Not a very good advert for this company.
I suggest a Dale Carnegie course on how to drive, treat people and win friends, influence people etc.
This driver should be fired. If I were a man, I would have thrown down a glove and fought to the death because he has death knocking anyway. I hope he doesn't take out a young family with his aggressive driving!!

If I could leave no stars I would

If I could leave no stars I would. I echo all other reviews on here. PPL tried to deliver a pallet worth of £2,000 worth of products yesterday and I informed the driver I would not be able to take delivery of it for another week until my husband was back and I also confirmed this directly with the supplier. They then turned up this morning and the driver treated me with complete contempt. I am 25 weeks pregnant and he left the pallet on the road in the pouring rain with a patchy black bin liner over it. There was no physical way I could move it which I originally calmly explained to him (although it was clearly very visible) that I couldn't take delivery of it and he didn't listen was incredibly rude and abusive. My neighbours heard the whole thing as well and were horrified. He left the pallet on the road where it got soaking for two hours before he came and picked it back up under instruction from the transport manager who at least was communicable. My husband and I are considering how to proceed against the company and the individual for the severe trauma and distress caused by the experience.

Awful, disappointed

They delivered a treadmill from Power fitness. The driver was rude, left 75kgs treadmill boxed up outside my apartment. I requested him to drop it till the lifts for the very least. he refused. I ended up having to request neighbours, we had to drag the 75kgs up till the lift to my flat. Horrible!

Shocking service

Had a call to say the van was to big to deliver the item. They had to be met and the item which was a Calor gas fire collected from them!! Just recently moved and all other companies were able to deliver to the house. Shocking service.

This was the worst logistics experience…

This was the worst logistics experience I've had. The company lost £500 worth of building materials, saying it had been delivered and signed for by "Brenda". After several days of fruitless phone calls it turns out they'd driven it around then delivered it back to THEMSELVES and "Brenda" works at their warehouse.
Eventual delivery was made by a guy with the worst attitude I've come across in a long time. I don't know how these people are still in business.

Terrible Company

Terrible Company, did not tell us when they would deliver. The original quote they doubled saying they had made a mistake.
We had to go out urgently the pallets had been dumped at the back of our car, and our car has been dented in the process.
We were home at the time there was no knock on the door.
I emailed the Company and they have ignored the email, I have just emailed them again.

Grumpy and unhelpful

Grumpy and unhelpful
I would not recommend, the delivery driver clearly was annoyed by the fact I even had a delivery from the comments he made. He made 1 slight attempt at getting the tiles on the kerb (which was a dropped kerb) and then when he "couldn't" he left them in the road. Great - thanks

Beware!

Beware!! Do not use this company. I had a brand new 2k kitchen extractor which unfortunately had to be returned. I booked a pallet from P4D, and my extractor has vanished into thin air. P4D are saying that Pallex took it so they are responsible. I had no idea about this industry, bunch of thieves!! Months of looking for it, no one knows where it is. Am seriously out of pocket, who knew this goes on, daylight robbery!

Thought I'd leave a review of my experience, as all of the others seem to be negative. I booked an engine delivery through p4d.co.uk (P4D) with Pallex, as it was cheap and the first website I'd actually managed to get to work out of 3! The pallet was collected when promised and delivered the second working day after, as promised. The delivery driver was very friendly and helpful - waiting around for a few minutes while I moved our cars so that we could get the pallet as far up my driveway as possible. A great experience, I would use them again.

Horrible

Disgraceful- they forged two proofs of delivery and didn’t deliver the parcel after changing delivery dates at least 3 times.

When in contact with them the PPL manager’s answer to polite questions was “ooops” - nothing else. I never heard of them before, it was the first time a seller from Amazon used them. Horrible customer service , disgusting people both Neil and Deborah - manager and director may I add.

So if the people in charge behave like this, there’s no wonder the drivers or warehouse people are not professional either.

No idea what happened to the package, probably stolen. When we told them we have cctv proof that no delivery was made on any of the dates on the PODs, they came back with a different story, saying the parcel was actually collected from their depot. No idea where the depot is and I never requested collection- I have witnesses that I was home at the date and time they mentioned. I don’t have car, that’s why I requested delivery in the first place!

There are many issues with this non delivery, including no barcode scan details after entering the warehouse on 25/03, as well as the weight of the “delivered” package - 80kg for a tv???

Stay far far away from these scammers!
We don’t have anynother choice than reporting theft to the police - add on top forged signature and identity theft. Absolutely unbelievable! Don’t use them!

The most horrible experience ever

The most horrible experience ever. They delivered the item 2 weeks later than expected, their only option was for me to drive 2 hours to get my package after a very 'nice' lady started laughing after I asked if they do late afternoon delivery even though it was specified on the order. Great customer service... They left the pallet on the driveway, it got knocked down by the wind and scratched my car. Called them to complain and said they can not do anything about it. I don't recommend using them. As for me, if I ever have to order anything and is should be delivered by them again, I would probably pay more and get it delivered by somebody else. Worst service ever. Even 1 is too much for what they offered.

Premier Palletised a real company? Not sure

I spoke to premier palletised at the end of August to arrange a courier to make a collection and delivery. We arranged most of it over the phone but there were a few emails exchanged. They called me later the same day to say they could collect as there was a driver in the area around 5pm. Items were collected. Up until now the company the delivery was supposed to be made to have not received any items. I have been in touch with PpL numerous times with people not getting back to me or responding to my emails. Eventually I speak to someone claiming to be management and she informs me that there was no collection made. They have no trace of the items.
