Brilliant customer care

Brilliant customer care I brought a Nissan navara from them in October which ended having the turbos break in January when i spoke to Praters they agreed the would pay for it to be done at my local garage as I live 4 hours away from them.
300 miles after having the turbos changed I have a loud squealing noise start so I took it back to my local garage which had done the work they did not even want to check to see what it was so I rang Praters which they rightly said that the garage that had done the work needed the check it
2 months later still squealing I rang Praters again and told them that I still had trouble with it they said to bring the car back and they would get it sorted so I took the 4 hour drive back and when I turned up they got the car into the garage and said they would sort it that day which they did found a broken turbo gasket that had been fitted by my local garage
I offered to pay for the repairs which they would not let me do and told me that it was covered by there warranty and said if I have any trouble with the truck just ring and they will help me out
Honestly such a relief to no that they will happily go above and beyond to make sure that a customer is looked after
I will definitely be buying from them again

I went to Pratters to look at a BMW

I went to Pratters to look at a BMW, took it for a test drive and got back they complained we were gone for 21 minutes, they were very rude to us when my husband said there was knocking noises from engine. They said there cars were the best never had any complaints and told us to F... off. I was so upset. I have never been to any car company and been treated like that ever!

Top top customer service

I brought my Ford Ranger from Praters around 5 months ago, when I got it home, I noticed an oil leak, Praters told me to take it direct to a Garage and they took care of the bill straight away.
2 months later the vehicle was over heating, and yet again Praters instantly had the vehicle fixed and working again, no questions asked.
Now 5 months in and I believe the gear box is faulty, once again Praters have asked me to return the vehicle for investigation no questions asked.
I cannot fault these guys for customer service, it’s top of the league stuff.
I’d 100% buy from Praters again due to their willingness to help.

I got my car from Praters yesterday

I got my car from Praters yesterday. We were allowed to test drive, have a look at it etc, no pressure at all. When all was done, we got the paperwork sorted. When we left, the car had an issue a couple of miles down the road. We were attended to by Aaron, and the car was taken back. After a check, one of the injectors had given out. This was explained to us, it was quickly replaced, test driven, and we had a great drive home 130 miles.
Their service is great, the team is polite, issues are explained. The owner doesn’t talk very much, might seem abrupt as I have spoken to him over the phone, but no offence meant, none taken! I experienced nothing negative, and overall I had a very pleasant experience in person. Great car, exactly what I needed for me and my boys, fair price. I recommend Praters. I’d definitely buy from them again. Thank you Aaron and Dylan!

Great family company

After a really disappointing experience buying a truck from a main dealer (it broke down within 4 days and the customer service was awful), finding Praters of Hollingdon was such a relief.

Both brothers have been absolutely brilliant from start to finish — honest, helpful, and genuinely caring. You can really tell this is a proper family-run business that takes pride in what they do.

I’m so glad I found them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for great vehicles and even better service.

I enquired about a Porsche Cayenne , and asked what service history was present. He told me that as they had 300/400 cars for sale that either he or his brother would check and call back. No call which was rude and unprofessional. Companies house state Praters ltd voluntarily dissolved in 2023, which raises serious questions .

Agressive Aaron & faulty vehicle .

I would be very cautious of this company. All the while you are giving them money or potentially buying a vehicle the "Niceties are falsely shown". Do not be fooled as when you have purchased a vehicle DO NOT expect any afterfcare, despite the warranty given. The man becomes rude and very AGGRESIVE! Aaron has no people skills. Shouts and tells you he does not want to be contacted on a weekend? Different story of course if your buying a vehicle. Do not email him? Do not Whatsapp. Basically buy the car wait for it to become faulty but do not get in touch when it does. We went through Close brothers luckily so the support from them was very good and they dealt with it all. As Aaron did not respond.
If you happen to view the vehicle Registration -
DU69 WDA steer well clear from hidden faults. Work needed. When i purchased the vehicle i was told there was no VAT on it. Yet this was a lie, it was hidden in the price. These wolves will lead you in and leave you to bleed quite literally. Steer well clear. They are also not ashamed to use false plates and try and fill up the vehicles with fuel using trade plates for other vehicles. Dont just take my word for this many reviews amplify are experience in which has left us without a car for two months till current.

So I bought a car with this place through a loan company, I had never heard of this place until the loan company but I am very impressed. They said I had 3 months warranty and are true to there word, had a problem with the car, called up and was sorted straight away with no issues. The car is brilliant and I am very impressed with the customer service. Also alot of cars to choose from upon arrival.

Superb family run business

Superb family run business. Nothing was too much trouble. We have had a terrible experience with a car dealer before Praters and lost money on a vehicle for many reasons. Ryan and Aaron could not do enough for us. No problem with us having the AA do a check on the car and the couple of points flagged were rectified immediately with no fuss.

We have no hesitation in recommending these guys and have already given their details to one person.

Well done Praters a business worth recommending.

Top quality cars and service!

I purchased my second car from Praters two months ago now.

Aaron couldn’t help me enough and not only sold me a fantastic car on the day, but has provided a great after sales experience too (which for someone who lacks mechanical knowledge is really reassuring)

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Amazing cars and people!

The car I was sold was supposed to be top of the range and I've had nothing but problems so I've returned it to be sorted and everytime it's come back they have said there is nothing wrong with it but still it's leaking oil from the gearbox even tho they insist it's not and now they insist on it no longer being covered by the warrenty

absolutely disgraceful

The first initial meeting should of been a red flag 🚩 enough to stay clear away from this place, but I'm a very nice person & seeing that I have a severly disabled son & a mum who is on end of life care in Europe due to cancer I think he saw the opportunity open up to scam another person.
The initial meeting was uncomfortable enough for me being called mate, seeing as this place sells some prestigious cars I didn't expect such a low intelligence welcome.
Upon discussing a vehicle which was very expensive his phone was ringing non-stop. I did stop him in his tracks & told him he was more then welcome to pick it up as it was obviously an emergency when he added that it was okay this particular customer was very obsessive, & he continued to hang up then inventually turned it to silent.I found that very odd, but looking back now it makes perfect sense.

I was shown around the vehicle, asked him loads of questions, & specifically told him I was going to drive through Europe in Easter break to visit my dieing mother with my disabled son,and I needed to know that the vehicle was safe,no issues & past security checks.
He assured me that he would never sell a car that has not been fully checked over, safety standards & that everything is in immaculate working order.
He even told me that warranty would cover all issues should any crop up in months to come.
I went ahead and paid full in cash.
Driven it home that day,was absolutely over the moon.
Next day I went to take my disabled son to his appointment, suspension light on,light malfunction.
I called him for a whole week before he answered the phone & agreed to fix it.

After it came back to me & being without a vehicle for a week, low tired pressure.
I took it to my local garage to check,2 nails have been hammered in both wheels.

He said that wasn't covered on the warranty & it must of happened in a week I had it. (2 identical nails front & back in 1 week...are you for real?)

A week later...OIL LEAK.

At this point I asked him to return the car,he refused. He said he will buy it back from me for 5000£ which I obviously refused.

He said he will take it and get the leak fixed.

I had 1 week left on the warranty, he returned me the car the next day the warranty run out and said there was no leak anywhere & to stop waisting his time.

Car came back to me. Long behold oil leak under the vehicle 4h later....

At this point I spoke to my friend who told me to go straight to the ombudsman & trading standards.

Which I did and they assured me that this will be dealt with and that they will be investigating them as it's not the 1st report they received on this place.
Trustpilot and social media are full of negative reviews of this place.

I also found out that people actually been paid to leave positive reviews because the negative reviews were outshining the positive ones.

It speaks volumes of the business if you ask me.

Unfortunately for them they picked the wrong person to try and scam seeing as I have a huge (1.6M)social media platform I will be fully exposing them of how they scam people out of thousands of pounds.

The cars he sells may be wonderful, but they all I mean ALL have issues that gets covered up until the sale is made.

You know I like to believe that karma is real, and seeing how many people this business scammed I think it's time they had a taste of their own medicine. 🫡

I hope it was worth it you rat 🥰

*** BE CAREFUL - Love to know what pre-checks they do *** they didn't do any on mine

Bought a very expensive DS 5, I hadn't got 200 yards down the road and the window switch came away in my hand, held in by Blu-Tack. Should have taken the sign but didn't.

Next bad steering wobble at 70mph, took it to a local tyre centre they found front offside had 200 grams of weights, unheard of, normally way less than a 100. Vehicle was dangerous, they removed these and away i went.

Next - electrical failure (broke down 3 times), under warranty Praters paid for repairs. So Hooray there.

Next - MOT, clean slate on a 2017 car that i bought with 7 months of MOT left, but failed latest, rear tyre was illegal (wrong size), i bought the car in this state.

This is THE worst car I've had, as, i believe, they did nothing to check over it prior to selling, you know like a 120 safety point etc. So, i had a car with an illegal rear tyre size, front tyre dangerously balanced, broke down 3 times.

They need to appoint a proper quality control person, that ensures the cars they sell are fit for purpose, no matter if they are £20,000 OR well over £100,000.

They could be really prestige, but seeing them hammer a pin through the window key to make it stick, said otherwise.

Not your ordinary used car dealer

Bought our Evoque a few days before Christmas. We were left to inspect it with no sales pressure, and the car was delivered to our home 90 miles away later that day. In the few weeks since there have been a few niggles which Praters have dealt with, with no hassle or argument. I can’t praise their customer service highly enough and recommend them to anyone looking to buy a quality car at a reasonable price.
