Really disappointed

Really disappointed. We ordered food which stated it would take 30-40 mins. 1 hour and 50 minutes later, late at night by this point, we called to cancel but there was no answer. I got through to the Uber driver who said they had to remake the whole thing again as the first driver didn’t turn up??? I find this unlikely. After that it was fast arrival, but turned up without 3 main items from the order and a QUARTER portion of the stroganoff. I paid almost £40 for the whole order for just 2 people. This is absolutely ridiculous. Again so answer when we called to complain and at the VERY least obtain a partial refund for the missing items.

Colchester is really bad

I give up on this place. It seems they do everything possible for you not to eat there.
First time I tried to get a takeaway they told me I must use an app. When I tried to use the app they rejected the order. Twice I have been there & been told the kitchen is closed. I have managed to eat there once and most of the food is burnt or bloody raw. The only thing that saves them is the flavours of the food.

I recently moved to Colchester however prior I would attend the Chelmsford branch on a weekly basis granted they are not the best in the world but the food is always cooked right and compared to this place wow.

I am baffled by the way this place is run.

Preto enfield

Everything but the chips was with garlic! Even the rice! Asked for rice without garlic no luck! So didn’t eat much!didn’t know children under 10 ate free wasn’t asked so over charged! Contacted them!No refund would not recommend! Totally not a nice meal over £345 for 12 of which 4 were kids, very unhappy not a nice experience spoilt my birthday. Also not very good on gluten free food so one of the party couldn’t have much!

Fantastic food at Preto in Shaftsbury Avenue

Hello, Preto @ Shaftsbury Ave.
While enjoying our first London trip out from our home in Kent since the beginning of Covid we enjoyed a fantastic experience on Monday 14th June in your restaurant for our meal.
The greeting at the doors was warm and pleasant, the restaurant was clean and followed the Covid guideline 100%.
We found the waitress's and waiters to be very easy to speak/order from and explain how the food rules work!
With our sides and mains and a couple of beers ordered we waited for the endless meat supply freshly cut from skewers to commence... and it did many times.
I would like to "Thank you " for a superb evening of great tasting food , nice light draught beers and a Brazilian schnapps to end our evening's food .

We are returning to London soon to see "Hairspray" & "Phantom of the Opera" shows later this summer and be sure 100% we will be eating with you again.

Bad service

Went to Preto Chelmsford.
Service nonexistent, waiter actively avoid making eye contact. Each meat brought around once then disappeared, chips brought at the very end of the meal. Service charge included in bill otherwise I would not have given a tip.
Very noisy - tiled floors and bare walls so the noise multiplies.
Not a great selection of drinks, cocktails not up to standard.
Meat was very tasty and cooked perfectly.
House white wine was good

Bad service

When we arrived with a reserved table there was no space for us, so they separated tables and we were seated in the middle of an incredibly busy restaurant. We wanted 30 minutes before anyone came over to us to offer drinks. We then waited 40 minutes being ignored until my husband complained that no one had served us any meat, we only had on our plates the options from the buffet. Eventually someone came over after being asked to by the manager and then our bottle of red wine was spilt over us by the waiter.
We decided to leave after not even a sorry was given for the spilt wine. We will not be coming back here. Such a shame as this was one of my husbands favourite places to eat.
