I’ve used Primera for over 10 yrs for occasional bike acquisitions, servicing and the purchase of bike related stuff. Vince and Clive have been enduringly helpful and focused on customer relationships. Darren also has been most helpful. The store carries good levels of stock and can acquire kit in good order. Obviously outlets need to shift stock but this enterprise is focused on customer need and is not overly sales driven. Prices are fair and offers very competitive.

Fantastic service, Vince is always super helpful and goes over and above for anything I need.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. If only every business operated with this level of professionalism and helpfulness. I purchased a new bike and asked for the crankset and cassette to be changed before the custom bike fit — not a problem at all. I was even offered a coffee while the mechanic made the adjustments.

The bike fit itself was incredibly thorough, putting me in the perfect riding position and resolving a nagging hip/knee issue I’d been struggling with for some time. A few weeks later, I dropped in unannounced to have cleat spacers adjusted, and the team immediately made the changes and refitted me on the bike.

You honestly couldn’t put a price on this level of service — absolutely outstanding. I’d recommend them to anyone considering a new bike.

A big thanks to Mark and Vince for great customer service. 10 years since I bought my last road bike and this time looking for a gravel bike, Mark was really helpful talking me through the options recent innovations to help me feel confident in buying the Merida Silex 700 after being overawed by internet searching. Whilst Vince talked me through the bike fitting accommodating a knee niggle through some pedal arrangements and even more importantly spotted what could have been a mechanical problem, solving with the bike tech there and then. Great Service.

Recently brought my mechanical issue to your Primera Sports branch in Bournemouth, and your team was incredibly reassuring, friendly, and efficient. Paul repaired my bent and broken hanger faster than I expected and got me back on the road doing what I love. I’m really grateful. If you’re in the area, Primera Bournemouth is the place to go!

What a brilliant customer experience! I live in the North West and travelled down to Primera to buy a Pinarello F5 that was on offer for my lad. A full bike fit was done before we left the shop, Clive and team were super helpful. A few weeks later the saddle became faulty (the same issue I had on another Pinarello I bought 6 months earlier from a different shop). I rang Prima sent pictures and they sent me a new saddle in the post. Great service, just what you need when you are parting with this type of cash on a bike!

Can't fault it! The staff at Primera are really knowledgeable and always take time to help you make a fully informed decision. I went in with a budget in mind and the guys helped me decide which bike would be the best value for money for the type of riding I wanted to do. The bike fitting was great. Overall, a brilliant bike shop with a really expert and friendly team.

My fourth big purchase from Primera and as ever, brilliant and very accommodating service from Clive, Vince and the rest of the team at Primera. Big thank you guys!

I have three bikes from Primera Sports and can highly recommend them! I'd give them 6 stars if I could.
The staff are keen cyclists, so they 'get it'. They know what's important when looking for a new bike - particulary the fit of the bike - that I have gotten wrong in the past, when ordering on-line. ..that just doesn't work - the sizing charts can be way off. Primera took great care to fit me to all 3 of my bikes, with a free bike-fit in the shop!
I also was able to test-ride all of my bikes before pressing the expensive fire- button. Again, not something you get when buying on-line!
Finally, you get a free service after so many months to ensure the bike is all good after having been out on the road for a few miles, which is reassuring for safety. There is also excellent after-sales support if you have issues.
I've just returned from Primera this morning to pick up my roadbike after an issue, that wasn't their fault, required warranty work. Primera turned it around so fast! They deal direct with the Manufacturer and carry out the work very quickly - they do everything for you!
A big shout out to Darren who was excellent and who dealt with all three of my purchases and bike-fits.
I'd say that Joe, the Manager, and his team are top drawer and I don't hesitate to recommend Primera.
Don't take the chance buying on-line, go to Primera and have a top-notch buying experience and great customer service!

Picked up my new road bike today, it’s the third bike I’ve bought from Primera and couldn’t be more pleased with it. Service from Vince has been outstanding over last couple of months that we’ve been discussing options from making sure I got the right one, to setting it up perfectly. Great, friendly shop with passionate and highly knowledgable staff.

I recently purchased a new road bike from Primera Poole. Top flight service from both Vince and Clive with friendly, un-rushed, non pushy communications. As others have said, it's not just about the bike, it's about what's right for the rider. Loads of time and advise was provided by Vince who made absolutely sure the fit was right with a pre-order measure up on a jig (well two actually :-) ) and then a set up of bike / fit. It's great to get back to supporting a LBS too. Big thumbs up to Primera Poole.

After searching for months for an e-bike I have eventually bought one thanks to Vince at Poole Primera cycle shop. The place has everything a cyclist would need whether for extreme mountain biking or for road biking and everything in between. As well as helmets, tyres, saddles, oil etc etc etc they sell all kinds of bikes and maintain them in workshops.
I worked out I needed a hybrid e-bike and Vince was full of advice without being pushy and allowing me to decide on the best one for me. Today I walked out with my Haibike trekking 4 knowing that any help is just a phone call or trip to Primera away. You get a free 250 mile service and part of a voucher system to spend in store. I was very happy with the price and more than happy with the help and advice.
Go visit for free advice and checkout their products you won't be disappointed I guarantee it. Thanks again Vince 👍

Don't often leave reviews but every once in a while you experience a company including their staff that are so customer centric and thoughtful it would be rude not to make the effort. Primera Sports Poole most definitely falls into this category. We recently picked up a mountain bike for my son and from start to finish the service was impeccable. very knowledgeable and friendly staff (particular mention to Vince) who took the time to do a proper handover that is so often forgotten. I,ve been a customer for a number of years and will continue to support my LBS.

I recently brought a Gravel bike for which I had zero knowledge on. Went into the Poole store and spoke to Vince. Vince was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Measured me up and did some research providing me a few options. He kept in contact once I had chosen what I wanted. Fitted new shoe cleats for me, measured me up and all sorted. Brilliant service! Definately recommend!

I couldn’t recommend Primera Sports Poole anymore, Vince and Clive were so helpful. I went in not having any idea of what bike I wanted or even needed and they helped me pick a bike that is perfect, I am so happy and wouldn’t get a bike from anywhere else 100% happy

Fantastic experience all round and highly recommend. I was looking for a bike frame which had sold out and was unavailable with all major bike retailers and the team at Primera managed to source it and keep costs reasonable. Great customer experience with Vince, and love my new ride. Look no further for an honest, professional, passionate bike retailer. Also great follow up service after purchase.

Its more than the Bike!
There has never been such a wide choice of bikes on the market. There has never been such a wide choice of outlets - you can buy on the internet, local franchised dealers (single brand), local independent dealers (multi brand), national chain stores (Halfords, Decathlon, etc), or you can buy 'pre-loved' (Gumtree, Ebay, local stores.
My last 3 'new' bike purchases have been from just one source - 'Primera Sports'. Sourcing the right bike can get very technical and quite overwhelming. At Primera, I find they take the time to help you navigate all the choices. For example 'Vince' at Parkstone uses all of his experience, enthusiasm, and sheer passion for cycling to help match the bike to your specific requirements. But you get more than this. He will guide you through bike safety, handling, control, servicing, support, security, etc. The right model and size of bike is not enough - he will process the adjustments and fine tuning of the bike necessary for your specific anatomy. In other words, all-in-all, he will prepare you for the road or trail.
I found his approach to be very professional and re-assuring and would strongly advise anybody contemplating a bike purchase to go talk to him. Personally, I got the right bike at the right price and at the right time. I cannot fault them.
But you get more than the bike. They inspired me to continue to enjoy cycling. Most of all they gave me confidence.
