Monroe Sydney are scammers

I bought boots from a company calling itself Monroe Sydney, advertised as orthopaedic. They arrived with no size, were not orthopaedic and generally inferior quality. They were so tight I couldn’t even get them on my foot so I went through their convoluted return process and was told I would get a full refund plus the $25 postage I paid but I got nothing. I raised a dispute with PayPal and the case was closed in sellers favour!!! I’m irate. No boots, no refund and now I don’t trust PayPal. Monroe Sydney are cheap scammers.

SILLY RULE TO SHOW RECEIPT??

The new requirement to submit a receipt for product reviews creates a frustrating catch-22. How can customers provide proof of purchase when they never successfully engaged with the company in the first place? Many negative experiences don’t come with receipts, so this rule unfairly excludes honest feedback. This change makes the review system less accessible and less useful than it used to be..

American Eagle Sweater is Horrible

I purchased a sweater from American Eagle Australia under the impression that it would provide a festive and cozy feel, as advertised. Unfortunately, the product I received was disappointing—it resembled a rough, lint-covered rug and lacked the quality expected at its price point. Additionally, the sizing was inaccurate, as the XS fit closer to an XXS.
The greatest concern, however, lies in the return policy. A $20 return fee for even the smallest parcel is excessive and feels punitive to customers who simply expect fair treatment. This practice not only discourages trust but also reflects poorly on the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
As a long-time customer, I feel misled and undervalued. I cannot recommend purchasing from American Eagle until these practices change.

Had a problem with heating on my Daiken…

Had a problem with heating on my Daiken reverse cycle unit. Called AMBIENCE AIR who said to fill a form online and email it. Three days later was emailed that they are not doing service calls as they are too busy and gave me a contact for Daikin Osborne Park. Two weeks later Daikin came out and found leaks in the copper pipes on the hot and cold and the connection fitting for the heater pipe leaking in the roof. Daiken said there was a batch of bad copper pipes when my unit installed. We trust the installer to use quality copper when you pay over $13000. Cost of repair to change the copper, regassing and labour is $2200. The disappointing part was the copper should've lasted much longer than 5 years that we installed the unit. AmbienceAir emailed us stating out of warranty but we think workmanship with connection fitting not fitted well and copper should have a reasonable time frame. Five years old two year warranty on plumbing not much confidence in their workmanship as all copper is above ground, looked online copper has a life span of 50 to 70 years - I got five. Very disappointed! If I was Daiken Australia I would look at these reviews and start asking questions and to the damage to their brand.

eSafety Supplies - eVault Carpark Over Bonnet Storage Cabinet

eSafety Supplies offers the product at a cheaper price than others but does not deliver. I could not get a firm delivery date from them. They delayed delivery by a month, the week I was due to drive to Sydney to meet the delivery. Lucky I emailed them to check it was on time. they also cannot co-ordinate their delivery to tell you even the day beforehand that the goods are due to go out

HSBC star alliance Cc the worst in the world

I received cc statement from HSBC and found out that there was a charge made from France of 6000$, which I didn't make.
It happened on the last day prior statement date.
I quickly contacted HSBC and report it. I tried 5 phone calls, 2 got cut off in the middle of conversation. I then tried emailing the bank, no reply at all.
So I tried chats on app, which finally got ref number after sold my soul. I have to agree on their term otherwise they did not want to process my claim. They forced me to agree that it will take the bank from21 to 60 days to process.
But in the meantime, I still have to pay the cc including the fraudulent charges.
Hsbc treated customer with disrespect and distrust.
I received email from Gena Domingo saying that the bank will have to pay the charge to the vendor therefore customer has to pay???
As customer my role is to inform the bank if there is a fraudulent charges. The bank has to protect customer if any of this occur.
I believe the reason we use cc so we are protected?
On 29/7/25 I am in Australia.
I didn't received any warning that there was a large charge against my card. No sms, call, email at all.
I am disgusted with how HSBC treat customer.
Do not use HSBC card. It is the worst cc in the world.
Use Amex, they will look after you. And treat you with respect and trust

Terry Towelling Clothing - Return Period Not Fair nor Reasonable for an Online Purchase

I made a purchase from the on-line shop front of Terry Towelling for a garment to be given as a birthday present. The garment was dispatched on the 14 July. The garment was tried on for fit by my partner on the 28 July (her birthday) and I tried to organise an exchange on the 29 July. I was told that they couldn't do anything to help as it was outside of the 5 day return period.

Their response is below. "our return policy allows for returns within 5 business days from the date of delivery or dispatch—whichever is later." It is unclear if delivery means the date received.

This a warning to others looking to purchase from the online shore that you have five days to receive, try on and return any purchase made. I personally don't believe this to be either fair or responsible period of time for an on-line order.

I contacted the Turkish Airlines…

I contacted the Turkish Airlines Hotline on three occasions to confirm that due to the 16.5 hour layover TA would supply a hotel room for this period. I was quoted the Terms and conditions, the agent I spoke to checked her ticket eligibility and I was advised that since she had a layover for longer than 12 hours TA would give her a room. I was advised that I did not need to fill in any forms and that when she arrived in Istanbul at 11.40pm at night she was to go to the TA hotel desk and they would arrange her hotel. To our horror our young daughter arrived at night in Istanbul only to be told by the TA hotel desk that this was no possible and that the TA hotline staff had given the incorrect information!! We had to pay for a hotel and what a disgrace

Myoko Embodied collagen cream.

Myoko Embodied collagen cream was not for me however, the response I had from Myoko Embodied over the last week has been most impressive. Kate offered me a full refund as well as some other product samples to try that may better suit me. Thank you and congratulations for great service.

I will give them zero star if I could, as other said it, fake reviews, and working with sellers to delete/block reviews. making them utterly unreliable. It's a fraudulent business model in my opinion but apparently it's legal and they still around.

SENSORY TOYS AUSTRALIA is not an Australian Company. Cheap goods that come from China. Deceitful and dishonest company that falsely advertised a "Buy one get one free" device, second device never arrived and they tried to blame the ordering process. I WOULD NEVER buy from them again.

Soda Stream - A stream of money - for Soda Stream

Buying a Soda Steam cartridge for $39-, refill for $19.-, you would expect that you only rent the container, and get your money back, when you return it, without a refill. WRONG!!
You get back a dollar, yep, right, ONE DOLLAR! For your $20.- deposit. (I guess in Soda Streams bank account).
Which makes Soda Stream a stream of money, I guess, hence the name, somewhat disguised. Why did I return the bottle? Because -except for the first two iterations-, the new, slick designed ones are as useful as the proverbials on a bull. The air leaks, they don't hold the bottle properly - need I go on. And I don't seem to be the only one who has that experience. But at least they sold us the cartridge!

Green grass dog potty

Do not buy a real grass dog potty as they are not the product they say. They stink full stop. Gross.

Messy and a hassle to set up and dispose of old turf. Waste of money.
