Order never delivered, no support, endless delays

I placed an order (R329031064) for an Apple iMac on January 30 2026, and this has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had.

It has now been two months with:

No delivery
No clear updates
No resolution

On March 12, I was told they “need more time.” Since then, I’ve only received generic copy-paste responses like “we are working on it,” with zero actual progress.

At this point, it feels like they are simply delaying instead of solving the issue.

I have now been forced to escalate the case and proceed with a chargeback.

If you value your time, money, and sanity — avoid this company. I will definitely never order from them again.

This is not a delay — this is complete failure of customer service.

Another very disappointing experience…

Another very disappointing experience with Public.

This is now the second time they have cancelled my order. I placed an order for Pokémon Destined Rivals packs when the website clearly showed around 100 pieces available. My order was confirmed, yet shortly after they cancelled most of the packs. Then it happened again, cancelling more packs and leaving me with only a few.

Their explanation was simply “high demand” and that the stock may not have been reserved. This is not a valid excuse. If a website shows stock and confirms an order, the system should reserve the items for the customer.

Customer service has been very poor and not helpful at all. Unfortunately, the experience in-store is not much better. Most of the shop staff seem clueless and are usually unable to properly help customers with questions or issues.

To make things worse, when they cancel orders they do not refund the money immediately, meaning customers have to wait several days to get their own money back.

Overall, a very frustrating experience. For a large company, the service, organisation, and customer support are extremely disappointing.

If i could give this company zero stars I would.

Delayed Delivery and Unresolved Refund Issue

I placed an order for a TV that was shown as immediately available with delivery in 3–4 business days. After many days with no updates, I contacted customer support multiple times and was repeatedly given assurances that I would receive information, which never happened. Eventually, I was told that delivery was uncertain and would likely be after the holidays, so I canceled the order.
Although I was informed that the refund would be processed within a few business days, weeks have passed and the money has still not been returned. Despite several follow-up calls, there has been no clear update or resolution. Overall, very poor communication and an unacceptable delay in refund processing.

Purchased a television on Black Friday

Purchased a television on Black Friday, was informed that it would be delivered on 5th December. Two days later was informed that it would be delivered and installed on 30th December. I have been calling the store every two days asking them to allow us to collect it and install it ourselves. They then told me I couldn’t collect my paid for TV as it is sold to someone else. They offered to refund my money within 7 days so I could buy it again for more money that I originally paid! I went to the store to complain in person and spoke to the store manager who promised to have a TV delivered on Monday 5th January.
On every occasion that I called the store, they said someone would call and to date 5th January 2026, noone has called so I called again today, same sorry excuse that they would look into and get someone to call to sort this problem out. I am now on my way to the store yet again to get my money back with interest.

We ordered a TV on black Friday they said delivery will be on the 16th. On the 16th Dec the technician called and said he did not receive the TV (it’s not in his delivery storage room). So our 9am appointment never happened. Called public multiple times and they said the message has been passed on so they will call to inform me about the delivery and they will update me in the next 1-2 hrs and try to make delivery today. Of course no one called. Called again 2pm they said in max half hour they’ll call me and of course no call again for an update. So after 1 and 1/2 hrs I called again. He informed me since ive not had an update they will not deliver today and the technician will contact me. I called the technician, he checked his order for tomorrow and he did not receive anything . The technician also raised this with public but to no avail. Public also refused to provide another contact number of whomever is supposed to sort this out. Highly disappointing and unprofessional ‘service’. Wish I’d read the reviews before buying anything from them.

We bought a tv and wall mounting on the 22/11/2025 and they told us that we will have the tv installed until the 28/11/2025. We paid 1500 euros and they still didn’t bring the tv and installation and today is the 14/12/2025. I have called them 4-5 times and always they say that they will check it and come back to me. Than nothing is happening.

They sell defective and potentially dangerous products and then refuse to refund or replace them.

I purchased an air fryer that had a strong toxic plastic smell from the very beginning — a smell so bad it caused headaches. Instead of taking responsibility, the company tried to blame me, claiming I “don’t know how to use” the device. This is insulting and completely unacceptable, especially since I followed the instructions exactly and have owned air fryers before.

They returned the faulty product to me without fixing anything and acted as if the problem didn’t exist.
This company shows zero accountability, zero respect for customers, and zero concern for safety.

Avoid them at all costs.

On November 22nd I ordered a TV, we paid immediately. The order was supposed to arrive by November 28th. Well, it didn't. To find out what was happening with the order, I had to call five times. Here are the explanations I received, the TV was supposed to arrive from the central warehouses, to be checked. Another explanation was that November 28th was not the date for receiving the order, it was supposed to leave the warehouse on that date. So after two weeks of nerve-wracking, today I canceled the order. Now let's see when they will refund our money. They are not correct, people, don't waste your time with them. I don't recommend it.I can't believe that after we paid,we have to beg them and offer them options to get their job done.They didn't ever apologise.

Unreliable Availability of Printer Toner at Public Store CyprusI am writing to express my extreme…

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experiences purchasing and maintaining a printer from your store. On the recommendation of one of your salespeople, I bought a printer. The salesperson assured me that it was a reliable model and that all necessary supplies, including toner cartridges, would be readily available in-store.

However, just one month after purchase, I needed to replace the toner. I drove to the same store where I bought the printer (a 20-minute trip each way for me), only to be told that the toner was not in stock. The staff suggested I search for it online, which would expose me to additional costs for shipping and handling, as well as the inconvenience of waiting for delivery. I thought this might just be a one-time occurrence and let it go.

Unfortunately, the same problem repeated itself three times over the following weeks. Each time I visited the store, the toner was unavailable, and the staff's response was dismissive: "This can happen sometimes." When I explained that this was already the third instance and highlighted how frustrating it was, they simply advised me to place an online order through your website. With no other choice, I did so, but I had to wait over 10 days for the delivery. This not only disrupted my work but also wasted my time on multiple trips to the store to check availability and, eventually, to pick up the item—adding up to hours of unnecessary travel.

In conclusion, it is unacceptable to sell products like printers without ensuring that essential consumables, such as toner, are consistently available for repurchase. This lack of stock management and poor follow-through on sales promises feels like a complete disregard for customer needs, prioritizing quick profits over reliable service. Your staff's incompetence and unhelpful attitude only compounded the issue, leaving me feeling misled and unsupported.

I strongly do not recommend Public Store Cyprus to anyone.

Avoid this company – they hold your money without refund!
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this company. I placed an order and part of it was canceled . Even though more than 3 weeks have passed, they are still holding my money and refusing to release it back to my card.
I have contacted them multiple times and received no proper solution. Their handling of customer payments feels dishonest and unacceptable. No serious company should keep such a large amount blocked for so long after a cancellation.

If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not buy from this company. I will never shop here again.

Broken brand new 65inch

I ordered a TV online on the 1st of August and received it on the 19th, not bad for the tracking said between the 22- 29. Once I received the TV from Greece, I had a feeling it was going to have issues after seeing the box, it only came with one plastic tie instead of two and the box had multiple scratches and bumps all over on the bottom part. So I made sure I opened the box without tearing the box. Yes, half the 65inch screen was black and displayed no picture. So after calling and sending pictures to the service department they called me back on the same day and told be to take it back to them to get a refund/ voucher. The 65inch just fit in the car, that's why I requested and payed for delivery to my place. They refunded me for the TV but would not refund the delivery costs of 18 euros. I would have used the voucher to purchase another tv from the shop, but since they didn't refund the delivery costs, I just went to another store and got my new TV. I had other issues with this store last year also, but I attempted to shop from them again, was the last.

Disappointed

Upon installation, I was unexpectedly asked to pay extra for removing the old unit, despite having clearly informed the company about the existing installation when placing my order online. No mention was made in advance of this additional charge.
On top of the agreed €120 installation fee, I was also asked to pay a substantial extra amount for wiring length, with no willingness to offer a fair compromise. These hidden costs were only revealed at the last minute, leaving me feeling misled.
Due to this lack of transparency and fairness, the company has lost me as a customer. I will not be returning for any future transactions.
