Skoda yeti dog guard fitting
First their was a problem fitting a dog guard to my car, then there wasn’t, no clear explanation what the problem was. Found out after fitting it was the type which is drilled into the car panels, not told this when booking fitting, so no chance to chose another option. Horrible fit leans into boot and rear seats seem to have been adjusted to fit the guard. Emailed my dissatisfaction, no reply after a week, emailed again and got nice polite young man who said he had passed on the info and would do so again. Got a phone call, but phone did not connect when I answered. Rang back immediately got and answering machine and left a message. Rang again in the afternoon and left another message. Still waiting for a reply. Very disappointed as other work done on my car has been satisfactory. Would advise going else where to have a dog guard fitted.
VW Amarok engine managment light on
I booked my VW Amarok in to the service department with an engine managment light on perminent.
I left the vehicle form 8 30 all day (I am self employed therefore didnt earn any thing for the day),i was contacted later in the day to be told the techinican said the lifght wasnt on,to which I find absolutely astonishing that I would bring my car to a dealership with nothing wrong (i am an ex techincian myself) and loose a days work.
These guys must think I came of a banana boat !!,they wiped the memory and sent my truck away.
the light cam back on the dash with in 2 miles of me pulling away
Twhilst in they disconected my dash cam, when i asked why they replied it will affect the diagnostic report (what utter rubbish never heard such krap in all my life. theythen drove the vehicle for 10 miles burning of fuel ,they also tripped my speedometer to which i was fuming .
I wouldnt use these clowns ever again what a set of cowboys
PS i am still waiting for the service manager to call me theres a shock !!!!!
Made the mistake of choosing a T ROC…
Made the mistake of choosing a T ROC automatic delivered in May 2021.From Pullman in Durham. A new car with just over 2000 miles on the clock. This weekend the gas struts completely failed, the boot lid will not stay up, so can't lift my wheelchair or walking aids out ,without the boot falling on my head. Spoke to service staff, was first accused of tampering with the boot in some way, then told that most people can manage with a car with a slightly defective boot. Spent the last two days and trying to talk to and emailing the service manager. Found staff rude and offensive will NEVER set foot in a Pullman Showroom again.

Can I not score this company less than 1. Got a 3 month old troc and the gas struts on the tailgate have gone. The tailgate is now very dangerous. I asked about a courtesy car or when they could look at it was told no car and could take weeks after much and many insults and treat like an idiot by members of staff the service manager finally agreed the car could be done on Thursday 4 days after the initial report. Complained to pullman and just had a email from their operations manager basically calling me and my wife liars their staff would never treat customers like that but having read reviews on here that's exactly how they treat staff!!
Their website only shows 5 star reviews how strange
THIS IS A ABOUT PULLMAN VW NOT SKODA SORRY
Car needs repairing under warranty
Car needs repairing under warranty; been waiting nearly two weeks and it still hasn’t been approved.
Had to wait a week for their service guy to be back in work to even start looking at the issue. In a company this size, I really shouldn’t have to wait on one guy to come back to work!
DIABOLICAL
DIABOLICAL. Avoid at all costs.
Purchased a 6 month skoda superb 4x4 sportline with 1500 miles on for cash from Pulman Durham.
Had issues with the headlights dropping upon start up, android auto screen going black with a few pixels on it. Wing mirror not returning to position after reversing, took photographs and video of these items which I emailed to them. They changed the media system and I had the same fault again. They asked for a photo which I emailed to them, the receptionist accused me of lying as the photograph was a week earlier than I said. I only took the photograph to help the mechanics in the garage. While this car was in getting repaired for these same issues on the sixth time, they called me to say the car had become damaged the previous night. They told me a valater had reversed into it in the dark. They replaced my car with a slightly older and higher mileage with better spec, which I was happy with. Upon picking up the car, I'd noticed that the sunroof was making a creeking noise which I pointed out straight away. The car had been too and fro for about 9 months trying to fix this issue, they replaced the sunroof and it still didn't fix the issue. They had the car for two weeks before even looking at it on one of the times in the shop. The dealership offered me £4000 less than what I paid for it just over a year earlier which I refused. (They worked the cost out at 47 pence per mile depreciation).
Ian Jarvis, the branch manager at Durham Pulman, refused to return my money (or close to it). The car Is banned from their site after it went to another dealer to get fixed (pulman had the specialist calibration tool to repair after another fault of the radar going faulty).
This is my fourth skoda I've owned and will be the last. I've always been a big fan of German machinery because I currently own two BMW motorbikes and two VW vans. I will be buying Japanese next time without fail.
Google KO68 DCX and you'll see the damaged car they caused!.
Customer service does not exist - you have been warned!!
SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I bought a new VW Tiguan here in 2005 and had it serviced here every year since. Following my last service in August/September I expressed a keen interest in purchasing a brand new one. Salesman looked at me vehicle and told me he'd get back to me with figures to change to anew one. Almost six months later he has not contacted me. Absolutely shocking customer service and judging by similar comments it seems to be the ways these people operate. Who is running this business? How are they still in business? Is there a Mr. Pulman? Is he aware f the way his staff are running his business into the ground?
Shocking communication from Cramlington…
Shocking communication from Cramlington branch I shouldn’t have to chase up when I’ve taken time out of my schedule to visit the branch. If nothing else just absolute bad manners,
***AVOID**** This garage invalidated my rust warranty…
***AVOID****I would avoid using the cramlington branch as they bought this of silbury.,After serving my car, they have invalidated the rust warranty by not checking the Skoda online bodywork check box.
Their website said car service include all warranty checks and the job sheet said they had done the car body checks. But they did not update the skoda website and Skoda are basically saying I have no rust warranty now because of this. Skoda are currently liaising with them to try and do the decent thing and pay for the tailgate rust to be fixed which they are refusing. Skoda say garage at fault, and will not budge.
I CALLED BY THE SILBURY PULMAN SKODA GARAGE TERRIBLE
I Called by the Silbury Skoda garage , now Pulman Cramlington , tonight at around 4.20 PM. They appeared to be closed but no problem I thought , happy to look at cars displayed outside .
Within a short time , a young man appeared and because of his immediate behaviour I was quick to explain I was looking at the cars displayed for sale . His demeanour was aggressive and very unpleasant. I was driving a Skoda and sitting in my car when this happened , so therefore was a at loss to understand his behaviour .
Another young man was in close attendance . I would have been perfectly happy to give my name and address but was not asked .
My experience today can only be likened to what one would possibly experience when entering a middle eastern checkpoint or a historical scenario in a world war movie .
I will Never go to a Pulman or Silbury business again and cannot understand why Volkswagen Audi Group would need to be associated with people like this .Terrible experience .
top class service
Took my Skoda Octavia to Pulman Sunderland for the first time for a repair (pressure sensor in DPF). Delighted with top class service and excellent customer care. Won't hesitate to use them in the future.
Great brand, awful service from Durham branch
Contacted customer service on stating that I had an issue with my vehicle (glow plug system and exhaust sensor warning lights illuminated). Explained that vehicle had been repaired previously at my local (non-Skoda) garage for a similar issue and I had an invoice showing this. Customer services told me to book my car in for a diagnostic test (fee would be waived).Told me that this may be covered under 24 month goodwill guarantee following my emissions test previously. Pulman Durham contacted and car booked in for diagnostic. Upon taking my car to dealer was told diagnostic test fee would only be waived if result of test was covered by 24 month goodwill guarantee. Had to contact customer services again to clarify this - fee would indeed be waived. Dealer contacted me the following day and explained that the cost to repair the vehicle would be in the region of £230 as the exhaust pressure sensor number 3 had malfunctioned. I asked if this was covered by the goodwill guarantee and was told that it was not as this was the part which had been repaired in May at the non-Skoda garage. The part which had been repaired in May was the exhaust temperature sensor
number 4, as indicated on my invoice. When I explained this to Skoda they insisted they were the same part and refused to give me a copy of the diagnostic test to take to the non-Skoda garage. I then contacted customer services and explained this. They spoke directly to Pulman Skoda, Durham, who then contacted me stating that there had been a miscommunication and the part would be covered under the goodwill guarantee, confirming that the non-Skoda garage were not at fault. Although this was most welcome, the process of getting this outcome was excruciating. Had I not spent over an hour arguing with Pulman Skoda, Durham and had I not kept my invoice from the non-Skoda garage, I would have had to pay £230 for work which should have been covered under the good will guarantee. The car was eventually repaired but the process should not have been so difficult. Pulman Skoda, Durham acted dishonestly and given the situation with emissions affecting the company, they should be ensuring that their customers experience a high quality level of customer service. On this occasion I feel that I was lied to and this has severely damaged my confidence in a brand that used to be a symbol of quality and dependability.

I've had similar issues where the service manager seems incredibly reluctant to engage in conversation with the customer even when directed to do so by Skoda UK.
Due to my experience on the after sales front I dropped the Skoda brand like a stone as this was the second Skoda garage I lost faith in.
Switched to Japanese and have never looked back.
Poor Customer Service & warranty not as good as you would expect
I took my just, two year old Skoda in to Pulman Skoda Durham a few weeks ago for its service. During the service they reported that one of the two rear disks was corroded and both disks needed replacing. Although there was a clear fault as the disk and pad were not properly aligned, Pulman Skoda insisted that this was normal wear and tear and ANY brake issue was not covered by warranty. I can only show my displeasure by taking my business elsewhere.
However, What I find totally unacceptable is that three times, Pulman Skoda said they would contact me to discuss my concerns, but did not; the last time is was the Service Manager who failed to call me back. Not impressed at all!
