The best sound quality I've heard from a streaming service

I've used Qobuz now for a little over two years, and the experience has been mainly positive.

There is one thing that is a bugbear for classical music listeners however: the track listing of many/all releases is poor - I have withheld a star for this reason.

Many classical releases give no clue as to the composer of the piece being played......here's a tip: look at the back of the CD of the album....notice anything different?!

I wish I could use 'Connect'....I'm lumbered with Play-fi, which doesn't support Qobuz Connect...WHY?!!

I purchased quite a lot of music on qobuz and then the streaming service. As music I purchased could be streamed I would use this and sadly didn't download it.
Problem is one day you will find that £100's of pounds of music you have purchased will suddenly become unavailable. The industry endlessly complains about money lost to pirates - but then treat paying customer like this - behaving like thieves themselves. The pirates on the other hand doubtless still have access to the same music I actually paid for.

Love the whole package - presentation, accessibility, and the number of HiRes tracks (especially older numbers for a 71 year old such as myself!) available.

I want Qobuz to succeed. I have run into several technical issues in the months I’ve been using Qobuz, and reached out to their team. Their response time was reasonable, but the issues still exist. There is an issue where when using the Qobuz app on Mac or PC and the bitrate of the playback changes, it crashes the app. For example, one song is at 48kHz 24-bit, then the next song is at 44.1kHz 24-bit. When the bitrate changes between songs, the app crashes. The workaround is to use the web player, which doesn’t seem to have the same bug. I shared this with their service team months ago, but the bug still exists. The CarPlay integration is a bit janky.

Good luck Qobuz. I really want you to succeed because you’re more artist friendly than the major platforms. However, if the bugs and user experience don’t improve in the next year, I will probably go back to Apple Music or Tidl since they both pay artists well and don’t have as many functionality issues.

App is laggy and just stops playing music randomly even with phone service since I’ve subscribed. Missing artist/songs from other platforms. Couldn’t transfer music with links provided by Qobuz. Wouldn’t let me log in or reset password, unless I was in the app, but the only way to change subscriptions is through the website. I can also delete my account without deleting subscriptions from the app and still be charged. Very confusing and alarming. Won’t receive a partial refund even though I am cancelling services when 6 months remains, and the platform was not adequate when using. Still waiting to speak with a human team member 5 hours later.

Made the switch from Spotify and I enjoy the Qobuz experience more. Since the platform is focused on music the curated playlist, awards, and magazine features make finding new sounds fun and easy. My two quality of life improvements I would like to see are the ability to make subfolders for organizing playlists (the only feature I miss from Spotify) and some kind of tag or identifier for when music is AI-composed (something I wish to see on all creative platforms).

First off, I really enjoy the jazz discovery of this platform! Qobuz also does a great job of making your initial swap from another streaming service super easy. The only thing to complain about this platform is the occasion struggle to connect or load, but that’s barely even 10% of the time. The sound quality and versatility is amazing, I love hooking up to my older monitors for an awesome experience. Would recommend, and have recommended to everyone I know!

Great audio quality and curation of playlists for various genres and subgenres. The only problem I've had is search results are cluttered with fake bands with the same name as real artists. You can identify the real bands easily because of the thumbnails but it is annoying to have so many fake artists strewn in the reaults.

Fantastic sound a big step up from other streaming platforms

Great sound quality, curated recommendations (by humans), A magazine with interesting finds, search-by-music-label, qobuz connect ànd they make a point of paying artists more ... What's not to like?

Very clear sound quality, cheaper than Spotify or other streaming services and the best benefit is I know the music I’m listening to has nothing to do with AI and that Qobuz is a safe space away from AI slop.

Not the best daily and weekly Playlist algorithm but the many ups far outweighs this single negative...

I can follow up on music I hear on the radio - principally R3. Some of the more obscure stuff isn't there but most is and in superb quality. I wouldn't change the way the site works - it's fine and it's far more annoying if it's frequently being 'upgraded' or 'improved'. I use the words advisedly as often they are not but better left alone. Keep up the good work. Worth every penny.

Excellent music selection and quality without AI recommendations. Plus knowing that my money is NOT going to support ICE or other immoral practices but instead going to the ARTISTS where it belongs!
