I've used Qobuz now for a little over two years, and the experience has been mainly positive. There is one thing that is a bugbear for classical music listeners however: the track listing of ma... See more

The vast choice of music and above all the sound quality!

Terrible post-purchase experience. No support available for faulty downloads, have been waiting a week for any kind of feedback now.
The AI chatbot is useless and even when you ask to be transferred to a human operator there is no response for days on end.
Sent an email to their support mailbox regarding the glitches in the track I purchased but no response of any kind.
Will be issuing a chargeback with my bank, as I have all the evidence to show my attempted interactions with this company.
UPDATE: I followed the instructions that the Qobuz representative gave me here, and there was still NO RESPONSE

Fantastic library! Approachable for everyone, but just so happens to have unbelievably high quality audio that even appeases the audiophiles among us.
Really love the ability to purchase and own music, too! Really sets Qobuz apart in the market.
I still find missing albums and tracks compared to competitors, though. Frequently. Thankfully they do have a way to report this.
However, the lack of separation between artists of the same name is an absolute nightmare.
That's weird because it seems like a really simple non-issue if Qobuz is sourcing audio directly from labels: separate by label.
Not sure how that's being mishandled so badly.
Overall not bad, though!

Great new suggestions for weekly music, appealing ui, good selection for music and streaming quality.
I appreciate the ability to use a third-party app to upload likes and such from other streaming services.
The fact that they pay the artists much more per stream than other apps is a major selling point as well.

I'm still waiting for a reply from customer service. It's hard to know if there's actually anyone who looks at emails, they don't even have an automatic reply to let you know they have received it. Unbelievable.

I absolutely love the app. I like their reserved stance regarding AI music and the fact that they pay good royalties to artists.
Qobuz really feels like a place where people come to enjoy music again. I highly recommend!

I was unable to download music content that I paid for. I supplied them with the error message and so far their AI help line is unable to solve the problem, Over the space of nearly a month, four emails and three DM's on their site have produced nothing but one "request for more information" which I gave them.

They have a policy of taking a whole years subscription from you without permission. Having tried it for one year I decided not to renew but Qobuz took the money for whole year anyway. Communication then took several weeks and was impersonal and final.

Great app, happy with the interface and all my artists (even the niche ones ) are there; I would just say to please fix the download button as my songs keep on being undownloaded :) it would also be nice to be able to search for your songs within your playlist in the mobile app

Lately I’ve been blown away by the sound I’m listening to on Qobuz. Hi‑res audio is revealing layers I never realized were there — the soft thump of a single drum hit, the shimmer of a piano key fading into the mix, tiny textures and nuances that completely transform songs I thought I knew inside out.
Now that I’m building my hi‑res collection this year, I’ve been digging through my memory, revisiting tracks I never actually owned but always loved. It’s been surprisingly nostalgic and exciting, almost like hearing my entire music history with new ears.

Their interface on the home page is 50% of "recommendations" and overall a horrible user experience. Most of the tabs on the homepage are recommendations or their "magazine" feature. I just want to access my music. There's not an option to manually add music to my library from CDs I've purchased because the album isn't on streaming, either.
After I transferred my Apple Music library, it favorited all my tracks and I had to unfavorite them. The album artist sorting was incorrect along with genres, and I can't manually edit them correctly. I can't delete single tracks from albums, even though those tracks were not in my library before transfer.
Everything about this app's UX/UI is confusing when it doesn't need to be. There's no human agents in their support page. It's only a "chatbot" and every time I go back to that chat, it's always saying "no agent is available". If that's the case, then my subscription is no longer available.
Edit: I’m now dropping this to a one-star rating because of their false promise of a reply. This is the same thing as others mentioned about their poor customer support. Maybe if I’m able to speak to an actual human, this rating might change. If you believe that, I have a farm to sell.
Edit 2: They’re now going back to the same automated messages after time has passed on this review. This is the worst customer service ever.

I've pasted an email I made to support below. DO NOT BUY A SUBSCRIPTION, PEOPLE ARE SAYING THEY TAKE A FULL YEAR'S PAYMENT AND THAT YOU CANNOT REFUND. READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS.
Good afternoon. I bought the censored version of Roses - Imanbek Remix. I wanted the uncensored version. The E tag does not display in the cart when you buy explicit music. This appears to violate 1.10 of the CMA's Unfair Commercial Practices. "The omission of any information that must be contained in an invitation to
purchase is also always considered unfair." Say if you wanted to buy "Astronaut In The Ocean", there is no observable difference between the explicit and censored versions in the cart, due to them having the same price.
Additionally, I bought 10 Post Malone tracks, advertised in the cart as 96kHz. I then downloaded these via Qobuz Downloader - Windows, (WAV 24-Bit - 96kHz).
To find them in 24 bit 44.1kHz.
Compare the file size of say "Better Now" and "Livin' On A Prayer (2024 Remaster)". Both advertised in the cart as 96kHz. They have respective lengths: 3:59 and 4:10.
59.83MB vs 140.89MB
Bit rate?
2117kbps vs 4608kbps.
I have another 27 songs to buy off your platform. From my "..." and "Game" playlists. However I want at least to be imbursed with the uncensored version of Roses first.
I read the terms and conditions before I made my first purchase.
I understand that:
In accordance with the provisions of Article L221-28-13 of the French Consumer Code, by accepting these GCUS, the Customer expressly acknowledges and accepts that at the time of his/her purchase (i) the supply of the Download begins immediately after validation of his/her purchase and (ii) consequently acknowledges and accepts not benefiting from the right of withdrawal and the period of fourteen full days linked to online or remote selling, as provided for in the French Consumer Code.
Consequently, no request for withdrawal, cancellation or refund will be admissible after each Download.
After I downloaded Roses.
However, my argument is surely for common sense.
If this cannot be resolved amicably, then the next step is the ombudsman.
I'm not here to quibble about £2.19 but I do care about resolving this to satisfaction.
Bonjour.

As a loong time user of Spotify I wanted a more ethical alternative for the whole family. The transition was smooth and it works really great.

I like the Qobuz interface and overall layout. The music selection is good and the sound is excellent.
My biggest concern is that the music occasionally stops and I need to move to the next song to restart it. I had used Apple music before and this never happened.

Good app with ok minus on the curated lists. Good sound quality and much better ethics than spotify, so was initially very happy to discover qobuz. But has a strange pricing policy where annual commitment gives ut to 17% discount for everyone else than families from Norway, Sweden and Denmark? Customer support used 3 weeks to answer simple question about pricing.

I love the sound quality, the recommendations from the qobuz team, and the ethical way I can support artists. The only thing that I think needs improvement is the UI. On occasion, as a person with 100+ playlists, I wish I could navigate them more effectively. It can be difficult for me to sift through them. Maybe if I had folders to arrange them into or if I could organize the view? I'm not totally sure, but it's something that I think should get attention, though I'm sure your team is on that! Bravo and thanks for being the shining star in a world of very dark and sad listening options.

I love the streaming, the catalogue and the high quality downloads!
But Qobuz's customer support is the pits. I have been reaching out to QOBUZ for weeks without getting a single human response. And I am a big customer - I download a lot from QOBUZ!
The problem here is that the
VOX music app QOBUZ recommends to enhance the listening experience is not uploading QOBUZ song files
(AIFF Apple format), and last night VOX was not streaming QOBUZ correctly through its equalizer. (Lots of skipping and gaps)
Apparently both QOBUZ and
VOX don't care. Neither have responded to this complaint by me and other customers over a number of weeks. I would give more stars if not for the poor customer support.

content and community are king on Qobuz priority list! all other services on the market aren't on par – they might attract a wider audience for peanuts, and publish more artists being rewarded (much) less, but this doesn't make them better than Qobuz in my view... more popular isn't better, no way!
ps: what's that missing star?
less popular artists and less popular labels sometimes fail to make it to Qobuz offer... pity, that's why i keep accounts running elsewhere – and.
translation of editorial content into a language that ain't English should often be made better, and by humans – or just be switched off (once for all).
other than for those arctic artists and labels, and those poorly translated articles, Qobuz is good for both even and odd days!
