Worse Taste

The recipe has changed. It tastes worse than the "original" - which the new recipe, despite being branded as original - isn't. I do not wish to eat soya protein. Just porridge.

Also, it now takes 2 1/2 mins to cook in the microwave instead of 2 mins. This means it now overflows my bowl, which was already rather bigger than it needed to be for the contents.

Think I will find a different breakfast when I've used my current batch. Why couldn't Quaker just leave a perfectly good product alone?

You've changed the taste of your Quaker…

You've changed the taste of your Quaker Oats sachets and when I looked I saw that although it was labelled 'original' it was not. You've added additional protein in the form of soya protein which in my view is totally unnecessary. Porridge Oats are a perfect source of all round nutrition. The soya is undesirable involving a lot of miles and extensive processing and the resulting mealy taste is unpleasant in the view of myself and my husband. I would advise leave this product as unadulterated as possible. We will not be buying this product again.

Quaker Oats sachets for the microwave

Quaker Oats sachets for the microwave. First let me say it tastes fine. The only problem is the oats splatter all over my plastic microwave cover and climb out of the bowl on to the microwave turntable. After I've scraped it all together again it's ok as a breakfast. To the two minutes add the time it takes cleaning up the oaty mess. Don't try to complain online to Quaker unless you have all day to answer their questions. Avoid this product...

Has the consistency of wallpaper paste.

Bought this product originally for my dad but after 1 mouthful refused to eat any more .Had a problem locating the fill line to start with until I realised it was the thin line under the instructions, should be a different colour or just fill line written on carton which is only about a third of the way up the pot . But being generous it has the consistency of wallpaper paste , I like to add a banana to my porridge which made it a little more palatable . Definitely not buying again although I will stick to the boxed porridge because I do enjoy it .

This new Quaker Oats Protein is truly…

This new Quaker Oats Protein is truly horrible! I have been enjoying the original Quaker Oats for many years, but I shall need to throw away the rest of the box I bought this time. The powder which has clearly been added is both very unpleasant and potentially dangerous. When eating it, the powder sticks to your teeth and throat making you cough. Quaker, please consider the thousands of elderly, unwell and vulnerable people who turn to porridge as a wholesome, easy to eat and digest food. Your new protein formula is not only highly unpleasant to eat, but a dangerous choking hazard!

Beware PROTEIN Quaker Oats

I love QO Golden Syrup, I made the mistake of selecting their PROTEIN pack (Please make it clearer, a different colour would help), but for the fact that I am a pensioner I would have binned them after the first one. I understand the needs of today’s protein monsters but surely they want flavour too? It is bland and leaves a dry almost dusty residue in the mouth, very unpleasant!
