This review is intended for those who have left negative feedback about QuantInsti. I would like to share my perspective, and I stand firmly by it.

From my personal experience, I have found QuantInsti’s programs to be highly valuable. Their initiative to train traders into quantitative professionals is effectively bridging the gap between retail and institutional trading.

Given the type of students they enroll, it is clear that the program is designed for individuals who already understand how this training can benefit their careers and how it can shape their professional growth.

To Those Leaving Negative Reviews

This is not a beginner’s course.
It is designed for individuals who already possess foundational knowledge in trading, coding, and economics, and are seeking to refine and professionalize their skills.

Common misconceptions arise from lack of preparation.
Comments such as “the course is half-baked,” “too expensive,” “not much information available,” or “they lied about placements” typically come from individuals expecting instant results without the effort of building their own base first.

Personal responsibility matters.
In my journey as a trader, I’ve learned that the ability to solve problems independently gives you control over your growth. Courses like QuantInsti’s are meant to fill knowledge gaps once you have built your foundation not to build it for you.

Therefore, blaming the institution for one’s lack of preparedness is misplaced. Respect the effort of the professionals and the team who have worked to make such programs possible.

Must do course for Quants
It fills up the gaps in one's current understanding when one learns from industry practitioners and senior quant traders. From generating trading ideas to understanding financial instruments and markets, this course helps one get a nice flavor of the advancements happening in the world.

The EPAT program has been a valuable experience for me. I’ve gained a deep understanding of financial markets, learned to code strategies in Excel, Python, and been introduced to advanced statistical concepts. Additionally, I've explored how to apply machine learning algorithms in trading systems. The support team has been fantastic in enhancing my learning journey.

The thing I loved the most was the course instructors talking about their own experiences, the strategies that used to work and how they evolved. The live lectures were very streamlined, and every question asked was answered. If not, support managers were quick to respond. Also, the course flow was excellent for following various Algo topics simultaneously.

Regarding the platform, I loved how the Jupyter Notebooks did not need to be edited to run online or offline due to the proper input file location codes written in them.

However, there are avenues through which EPAT can improve. The difficulty of exams must be increased. This will make the certificate harder to achieve, and thus, it will hold a greater value and will be comparable to the likes of CFA, CQF, etc. Also, the syllabus of the final exam should be expanded. A lot of topics were taught to us, but the exam syllabus was limited to very few topics. I feel that this does not incentivize learners to learn all topics.

Quantinsti EPAT introduced me to a variety of trading styles I hadn't encountered before, significantly expanding my knowledge and approach towards trading. The faculty was helpful and patient in solving my doubts and the support manager was extremely helpful in addressing all my queries, providing me with clear and timely assistance throughout.

Regardless whether you’re looking for an introduction to the world of quant hedge funds or to gain deeper expertise in the industry, you’ll find Quantinsti a natural option.

Professors teaching the classes are also practitioners in the field, some started their own funds and others run their own teams in household names.

Combine that with the family-like support that you receive throughout the course, I’d highly recommend it to friends and colleagues.

Their lectures on backtesting using python was really deep and thorough. They way the faculty explained the topic in detail, even the minute concepts, and the way support staff helped clear my doubts was really amazing.

I recently completed the EPAT course offered by QuantInsti, an intensive six-month program that provided comprehensive exposure to various aspects of algorithmic trading.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, starting from fundamental statistical concepts, such as probability distributions, to more advanced areas like time series analysis and its application in statistical arbitrage and pair trading strategies.

The Python module effectively addresses both foundational and advanced topics, significantly enhancing my proficiency in data analysis tools such as NumPy and Pandas, as well as object-oriented programming concepts.

Additionally, the course delves deeply into market microstructure, a critical subject for high-frequency trading.

As someone with no prior trading experience, I found the options trading component particularly beneficial. It began with basic concepts and progressed to advanced topics, including options pricing models like the Black-Scholes model and volatility trading strategies.
Furthermore, the course covers advanced topics that provide hands-on experience in statistical arbitrage and pair trading concepts.

The curriculum also explores machine learning, natural language processing for sentiment analysis, and reinforcement learning techniques for trading in great detail.

The final project in the program, which includes guidance from a mentor, allowed me to build a project from scratch.

Completing this course has equipped me with a clear roadmap for pursuing a career in Quantitative Finance, specifically in Quantitative Developer roles, by developing the necessary skills which are required to succeed in the field .

The EPAT is a great platform not only to learn a lot of content that you would normally not find on social media but also because of the extra facilities, benefits and support the EPAT team provides you, throughout and after your EPAT journey, the alumni group and the option to do a full-fledged final project under someone's guidance and the certificate of excellence are some wonderful perks of the program, especially given its cost it is very considerate towards the students and I also benefited from that, no other alternative in the market seems to provide such fine content with great faculty, a good support team, and job opportunities at such a cost, anyone who wants to step in the world of Algo-trading or even quantitative finance must go for this course.

The EPAT has everything about Algorithmic trading , Machine Learning and practical aspects of setting up your research desk. Best part is having world class Faculty from best of the organizations . We were taught every aspect of market and also Back testing our strategies through Python. I have not seen any other course teaching all aspect of market in one course having world class faculty and very helpful support staff.

The course was very productive and a very good jump start to the world of quant. Highly recommend if you want to shape your career in the world of quant finance.

The EPAT course was both enjoyable and informative. The lectures were clearly explained, and any doubts were addressed during the online classes. The support team was also very helpful, providing guidance and passing on information throughout the course.

The faculty and course material for the EPAT program was great along with the hands on learning experience that quantinsti offers.

Overall, my experience taking this EPAT course over the past six months was a positive one, though there are a few areas where the course could be improved.

Good course support throughout: The instructor provided excellent support, consistently pushing me to complete the assignments on time. This consistent encouragement was very helpful in keeping me on track.
Some unfamiliar material: While I work in the financial industry, some of the course content, particularly the section on trading cost, covered material that was new to me. This highlighted areas where I have room to expand my quant knowledge, even as an industry professional.
Implementation could be improved: The course focused heavily on the theoretical aspects of quantitative finance, but I would have appreciated more hands-on work implementing trading strategies. Having the instructor demonstrate live trading implementation would have been helpful.
Options content difficult: The options trading portion of the course was challenging, as the instructor focused primarily on the theory without providing many real-world examples. More practical application of options concepts would have made this section easier to grasp.

Overall, I was satisfied with the course, as it provided a solid foundation in key quant finance topics. However, adding more practical, applied components - particularly around trading implementation and options - could take the course to the next level.

Last year, I purchased all the courses with 75% + placement for a job. I only got 3 suggestions, everything is BS! They don t know 300 firms, they are LYING ABOUT IT!. THEY WILL KEEP TELLING THIS FOR YOUR TO PURCHASE THEIR AVERAGE COURSES!! AND TELLING YOU , YOU DON T HAVE ENOUGH REQUIREMENTS , ETC....

I have purchased a lot of courses to learn about algorithmic trading from different education providers. However, I found that the Quantinsti courses are short and the quality are very poor. Most videos are between 1 - 5 minutes but on average 2 minutes.

Don’t be fooled by a lot of topics in the course outlines. You may assume that they are all videos but in reality each quizzes or PDFs are listed in the outline. GARCH model was in the outline of the Position Sizing course but there is not explanation or python code in the Jupyter Notebook on how to use how GARCH in Position Sizing.

Don’t expect that all topics in each course will have a video to explain. With their half baked courses, you will have to read PDF after PDFs. You may find PDF text that says “In this video, you will learn ….”. I have raised this with them but as I watched other course, I’ve found more PDFs like this.

Furthermore, there was a PDF that common strategies which is great to know more about these strategies to expand the knowledge of the students. But each strategies has 1 -2 sentences and bullet points which is not enough understand their concepts. So I requested to create a video to explain the strategies in details but instead they’ve decided to remove the PDF. They said the PDF is “not necessary and could potentially distract from the main learning objective of the section. As a result, we have removed the PDF document on the most used options strategy as it was not directly relevant to the concept we were trying to convey in the section”.

I’ve initially tried raising my concerns to them so that we can have a win win situation which they improve their courses and I learn more from them. But their responses were always to defend their reason rather than aiming to improve the quality of their courses.
