Racism at Redlands Quest

My husband and I got there at 7 a.m., as walkins numbers 2 and 3. I was taken in almost immediately but my husband and I continued to wait for him to be taken in. Walkin No. 4 and lots of people with appointments were taken in while we waited for my husband to be served. Finally, almost 1 1/2 hours after we got there, I asked two phlebotomists why he was still waiting. One said "we have to take care of the people with appointments first," she said, which is not true, because they state they take walkins between appointments, like they did me.
The other phlebotomist I talked to said he would check and finally, after taking a couple more appointments, he took my husband in. I should mention that I and walkin no. 4 are White and my husband is Black; the phlebotomists are Hispanic.
I don't see racism everywhere but I saw it that morning; if I hadn't finally said something we'd still be waiting.

Huzzah for Quest site in Mercy Primary Care, Bentonville, AR

I went to the Quest site in the Mercy Primary Care (J Street) location in Bentonville, AR and the people there were exceptionally helpful. My PCP had kind of messed up putting in a lab order and they went and got it straightened out. A lot of people would have left it to me to try and fix, but not these wonderful folks.

Lancaster CA

Lancaster CA. Took my disabled ( completely immobile non verbal with seizure disorder) to quest with an appointment. There was a problem with the lab orders so they sent her out and said call her dr. You have 10 minutes. ( my granddaughter had to fast for this and she eats from agtube and has seizures) we immediately called the dr and they refaxed immediately We had to keep knocking to get the nurse to come out and she said it's not here sorry. We have already waited over an hour in there. So we put the Dr office on speaker. After knocking again for 5 minutes they answered with attitude and said they were too busy to listen to the call. Blonde short haired lady. Didn't get her name. They wouldn't see us even with the appointment time almost two hours before. I will never ever go again. They have no won't whatsoever They just act like people are cattle. I will follow up with the BBB

Unduly complicated account setup

The sign up and login procedure is a nightmare. After providing all info to create an account, then the login wants no only the normal 2 factor verification, but then want me to try scan drivers license, a process that does no work. It took me more than 30 minutes to finally get my account set up. Then, I could not schedule a morning appointment sooner than 12 days in the future. Much prefer LabCorp, but unfortunately my insurance requires Quest.

Extremely Disappointed in Quest Diagnostics, Branson MO

I am writing to formally share a complaint regarding my experiences at the Quest location in Branson, MO.

I see a holistic doctor who requires me to schedule appointments with Quest for blood draws that are sent to Cleveland HeartLab for screening. When I began seeing my doctor, I lived in Colorado and consistently had excellent experiences at Quest. The staff there took my paperwork, entered my information correctly and completed the labs without any issue.

I moved to Missouri in 2022 and since then I have had repeated problems getting my lab work done. I require labs three times per year. Two visits are for smaller hormone panels and one visit is for a larger draw involving several vials. For the larger labs, I already have to drive an hour to Springfield, MO because the Branson location is unable to process them without significant confusion, multiple staff members (namely Debra) involved and constant complaining.

For the smaller labs, I schedule appointments at the Branson location. The staff member there, Debra, is polite but complains every single time I come in about the paperwork and the process. She has completed the labs in the past but always while voicing frustration in front of me, which is uncomfortable as a patient.

On January 26th, I had an appointment at 7:10 am for a small lab draw. When I arrived, Debra immediately began complaining again, stating she was the only one there and expressing frustration about having to input the information into the computer. I asked if she would prefer that I go to the Springfield location instead. She responded that if she did not do it she would get in trouble but continued to complain. At that point, I picked up my paperwork and left.

I understand that systems and processes can be frustrating, but this is not appropriate behavior in front of patients. I also have a job and responsibilities and now must figure out when I can take time off work to drive an hour to Springfield, wait however long it takes this group to figure out my paperwork/draw my labs and an hour back simply to complete required lab work.

To be very clear, I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience as well as previous experiences. There needs to be proper training across your offices on how to process this type of paperwork and staff should not be complaining to patients about doing their job. While this behavior has occurred before, today was the final straw. I will not be returning to the Branson Quest location again.

Results? When? WTH?

It has been 12 days since my blood was drawn and they have just told me they are over loaded and it will be another 4days before the results are in. My wife had her blood drawn the same day and had her results in about 5 days.

overbilling, bad customer service

Yet another medical provider that bills for "laboratory services" while hiding what tests they are billing for. 30min on the phone with the customer service rep, she insists that they in fact did different tests, but the bill has the same line repeated multiple times. Looks like overbilling.

Quest has got pathetic

Quest has got pathetic. They build these facilities. They don’t have a human in the lobby. You make an appointment for you get there. You still have to wait you get there. The bathroom is broken. They tell you to take the rest of your lab work too. Any facility wish they fail to tell you when you get to the other facility now you have to wait just like you didn’t have an appointment. This company is pathetic. I’m gonna talk to my insurance company and see what other lab companies have a preferred on our list. I will be changing labs. I’ve been using quest for years. Beware of this company.

Inflammation and 30% of blood test items not obtained.

I have had itchy inflammation and possible swelling at the place on my arm where the blood was drawn. The results were prompt, but about 30% of the items stated, "Result canceled by the ancillary," (vs. I've read 3% is normal); Google says that means: "often a problem with the specimen's collection, handling, labeling, or order, rather than the lab analysis itself, leading to an unreliable result. Common reasons include insufficient sample, mismatched labels, tampered seals, wrong patient, or duplicate requests, requiring a re-collection or new order for accurate results." The digital check-in in the waiting room was fine. They should let patients know in advance where the only door in the large building that is unlocked on Sat is located behind building.

Today Thursday 01/29/26 I had a…

Today Thursday 01/29/26 I had a appointment with Quest in Brookshire Downey, at first they stated I did not a have a appointment then finally I should them my e-mail stating my appointment at 10:30am. Then she stated that I cannot get the blood test my Doctor requested for my yearly physical because Medicare, and secondary insurance Health Net does not cover my blood test. I get it every year, and they stated is not covered. I also get seizures, and get routines blood count checks, and she it also said it does not
cover routine check. Something I always get done with Quest. I called my Doctor, and stated my insurance is still active. She asked me what kind of Quest did I go.
I reply one employee that had attitude with no customer service. She did not want to work. I even told I will sign a responsibility form for, payments she had me sign but still did not want to do the my blood test.

Hampering patients from getting medical care

Had services done 9/17/25, bill paid 12/9/25. Went to gave blood work done 1/5/26 was told bill open, cannot be seen. Sent proof of payment same day as per customer service. On 1/7/26 received email asking for copy of bank statement. This was sent via fax and snail maol 1/8/26. Called 1/29 to f/u and was told there are notes in system regarding phone call, and payment from June 2025 was applied to Sept 2025 bill and then moved - huh? How can payment be applied to a service date that hasnt occurred yet???
Quest is endangering my life by not being able to get blood work that has been requested by my doctor.
We, the people, should hold this greedy company responsible and file a class action based only on denial of services.
If I had some place else to go, I would never use Quest again

⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ Disappointed With Service at…

⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ Disappointed With Service at Quest Diagnostics - Laguna Paseo De Valencia

I scheduled an appointment for 10:00 AM and arrived early at 8:30 AM, hoping to be seen ahead of time if possible. I checked in with staff, but even after waiting past my appointment time, I was never called in — and then I noticed my name was no longer on the check-in list. When I asked another representative what was happening, he had no idea why my name disappeared and couldn’t give me an explanation.

I explained that I had been waiting and needed to use the bathroom for over an hour, and was just trying to get everything moving, but it seemed to upset the staff member. Then a person named Bahar came in — without introducing herself, identifying her role, or even wearing a name badge or professional attire. She didn’t apologize for why I was dropped from the appointment list. Instead, she told me I needed to apologize to a lab tech or she would refuse service, which felt narcissistic and unprofessional. After I apologized, she left without addressing the real issue or providing clarity.

I finally asked the tech for her name and title, because I was very disappointed by how I was treated — it felt like I was being scolded like a child for something that wasn’t my fault. There was no valid reason I should have been told to apologize, and no explanation given why my appointment was mishandled.

Overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I would like management to be aware of this.

These guys don't even know the times…

These guys don't even know the times and days they are supposed to be open. One of their locations said open on Saturday.. booked the appointment on their website, received a confirmation, and showed up on time, to find that the location was closed. Then 2 days later receive a text saying the appointment was for this new day.
Talk about screwed up. That's what happens when you let robots run your business.
