My ECU was damaged due to the racechip, when I tried to use the warranty that came with the racechip GTS, they advised I had to send back a card to activate the warranty, I have never heard of such rubbish, the warranty is a scam.

Buy control unit for suzuki grand vitara. It looks good quality but has had no effect on the car's performance. After a few days I communicated via email that I wanted to return the product but they never answered me. It's been over a week since I contacted them and at the end of this week I will send a report to the Italian AGCM and the German Bundeskartellamt! A few days before the delivery I had contacted them with a question about the order and they had replied to me the following day... Therefore the motivation of numerous emails seems to be a lie!

The day after my review on trustpilot they responded immediately on how to make the return. After more than a week of silence...
Unfortunately, companies care a lot about their image but not their customers, whether they are satisfied or not.

Had two iterations of Racechip for two BMWs. Both worked well and I was very satisfied. Power increase can clearly be felt. Fuel savings were visible - specially on 530i. Currently have F30/530dXd and waiting for my third iteration of Racechip. If price is about 400 Euros and savings are at about 15% of per-installation consumption, you have money back at about fifteen thousand kilometers (if I am correct doing my math), which is my half year driving.

Product delivered quickly from Germany to UK. Easy as to install if you follow the instructions. Bought the base version @£149 GBP. Noticed the difference in smoothness and extra Torque right away on the Factory `3` setting. Will likely try the two higher settings after a few hundred more miles. Delighted Customer.

RS RaceChip for BMW 520i G30.
Use 1 year, approx 25000km.
Installation was 10 mnts and max setting 6.
Have noticeable extra power and overall driving is more responsive and faster. Especially on sport mode car is quicker. Overtaking is much more easier.
The engine is the b48 and the same as a 530i just tuned down little bit.
The RaceChip is working fine and i like the idea that the car ecu remains original with a bit extra power and torque.
Sofar no problems or failures.
Learned that the engine is a B48B20B which is the same as the 530i. Removed the Racechip (sorry) and tuned with BR performance in Holland. 184pk to 316pk and 290nm to 467nm including xph gearbox tuning. Car is really fast now , almost 540i specs and a real pleasure to drive.
This B48 engine is strong and hasn’t got any known problems. The Racechip rs is for sale some time already..

Bought a chip for Ranger Rover. They sent and the connection points were not where they stated they should be. Went to two professionals who charged me for an install; they too could not find the connection points. I asked for a refund. They agreed. They sent return labels, but as a business owner time got away from me and forgot. Bought another Rang Rover with the same motor and asked if they had map for that unit. They said they didn't. Wanted to send back they refused due to their 30 day return policy; despite already agreeing to the return. They claim their chip was for a Range Rover, and the diagram was for a Jaguar. Same motor, but vastly different connection points. I paid and never used their chip. I highly recommend you avoid buying from them. From other reviews I've seen they seem to have excuse after excuse for their shortcomings.

EDIT: The company got back to me and provided new install pictures that cleared up the issue for me.

Wiring harness I received doesn't fit my car (Swift Sport K14D, hybrid). The connection for the MAP sensor doesn't fit my vehicle, and the installation document is not well made, it doesn't clearly show the sensor locations. I emailed Racechip and got no reply. Did I waste 300 euro??

After installing racechip s on volvo xc 90 5d, i had it on setting 2 like driving a sports car, saving 15 per cent on diesel, iv gone to original back to factory setting 3
My god what a difference powers there practically rolling everywhere
And be saving over 15per cent on diesel fuel
If you have a diesel with that flat spot on acceleration

Bought a GTS black for my car, Specifically bought GTS black version because it offered 1x free reprogramming as I like to change my car every 3yrs or so.
What I didn't know is buried in their terms and conditions it says that its only valid for 2yrs. Who changes their car in under 2yrs?

What makes it worse is that they are still selling the EXACT same model that I bought 3yrs ago yet they won't even let me pay for a file reprogram! So I now have a heap of plastic that has to go to landfill how good for the environment is that?

Racechip why on earth do you not offer paid reprogramming for current hardware? You are literally creating landfill once the product is over 2yrs old??

I did a lot of research it to what I was looking for for my car and decided to get the S racing chip I was very sceptical about it working but it is so good my car (renault captur) was very sluggish through the lower gears but that has changed that this product is so good,when I first went to fit it I could not find were it plugged in so I emailed them on the evening and by 8am the next day they sent me pictures of my engine showing all the details.

Got a Racechip GTS for BMW 320i G20 2022 from an authorized dealer in Brazil. Installation was pretty straight forward, but it gave me absolutely no more power. There was no difference between stock and any tune. I was asked to use only "R" mode, with 0 warm-up time. Same results, nothing different from stock. We´ve checked software version and installation, and everything was all set. Support was great by dealer, but I cannot say same thing about the product. Quite disappointment. It has been only 6 days I received the chip and I´m returning it.

Writing a review for people like me who were wondering...will it really work?
I ordered their basic chip for my 2010 Mondeo 1.8tdci probably the ideal type of car for a map to notice a difference, but my god do I feel a difference it takes off far lower down the rev range and goes alot quicker and further in the gears especially 3/4/5.
No dyno etc to tell you anything exact but definitely noticeable difference so much so you know it's not placebo effect it's very fun to drive now.

Ordered RS unit for my bmw 730d which was not really a slouch from factory but this thing has done something magical. The torque when overtaking feels alot more than stated in there add and its delivered smoothly through rev range. mpg gone from 36 av to 41 av when in eco mode too. Makes you think why BMW didn't just do this when making it. Good work Racechip and delivered when said.

Ordered the top of the range Racechip for a 318D N47 2010 BMW E90 in July

In September I “upgraded” to a e93 N47 2011 320D (same engine just different factory power)

Threw EML’s so contacted support.
Racechip informed me the unit needed to be retuned to make it work with my new car.

The harness I had transferred directly over, but I was informed even tho the engine is more o less identical I needed to pay 165€ to get a Racechip GTS to get it to work in my car.

So 2 months later after having paid £399 and the “new” GTS being on offer for 399 at the time I had no choice but to pay the 165€ cost for a replacement.

Terrible customer relations, borderline theft and a total mockery of the free programming “claim” plastered all over the website.

Buyers beware, only buy if you plan to keep the car for a while.

Used Racechip for years for 5+ cars and recommended to many family members, but won’t recommend anymore.

Feel robbed.

If you purchase the best chip available at the time, at the same price as the “new number one product” you wouldn’t expect to have to pay 1/4 more for the same item.
Being only 2 months between the transactions too.

I wouldn’t have minded if it wasn’t the EXACT same engine.
I purposely purchased my new car in mind that I could swap all my additions/mods across.

Hence my poor review, just a warning to all that the free reprogramming is in fact not free even if you are getting the exact same product just branded differently.

I bought a RaceChip GTS for my 2017 Mini JCW. I didn't actually need the extra HP as the car was already quite fast. However, I have always enjoyed playing with engines and installing the chip and testing it was fun. I did some road tests (no dyno) and I don't feel big differences until map 4 (as expected). Starting at map 5 I hear a different rumble from the engine and quicker response, especially at low to mid RPM. With map 7 the car simply flies when you press the pedal, but retains all its comfort even when driving at low revs. I have yet to estimate mpg, but the horsepower/torque increase feels real. I've had a few mail exchanges with support, which have been great.

I bought the GTS for my 2016 BMW 330D. I haven't put it on the dyno to see if I get the claimed +54hp or +95Nms but, especially in 'Race' mode, it is noticeably faster. I found the chip easy to fit although I would have liked dedicated instructions for my car rather than a generic diesel. I found a good You Tube video and would recommend others doing the same. One thing I would like to see is a device to easily move between Eco, Sport and Race which could be mounted in the cockpit. I can't open the app when driving so a button-module would be cool.

How good is the Race Chip , well my experience has been awesome, from time of ordering from Race Chip Australia, and the chip arriving from Germany within the 7 days as promised, installation was next day that also included the throttle box and also the downloading of the app for automatic updates, the best part was that the first tank on comfort ( pre race Chip) did just under 900km's , after Race Chip installation and set on Race I got over 1,000km's , as I do around 1,000km's a week that's a huge saving in fuel $ , + it drives much better at the take off because of the throttle box , and through to the whole top end range ,overtaking is a breeze now that it's. .9s quicker , thanks racechip for giving me what you promised. I got mine in a few days for my 2022 Hyundai Kona n. I got the GS and it took 14.2 seconds car to back to back 12.7s at Pacific raceway. Worked so well I upgraded to the gts

Ordered the xlr for my audi..Still not received 10 days (and counting) after it was to be delivered, seems to have been sent to moon as tracking is not existent. Racechip promise to refund or send replacement but that was a lie..Now got PayPal involved to get my money back..Sent me a message they'd refund me. I replied numerous times I'd accept refund on PayPal and now ignoring me..Stay well clear of these con men as they also tried to get me to pay for someone else's order that was a hyundai and to pay for the shipping !!! had my address and name on it, so just shows how incapable racechip are of running a business !!!! Do not trust this company..Pathetic..If racechip reply to this feedback I still have email you sent regarding a bogus order and asking for payment, im sure this is fraud and a criminal offence by asking for money by deception......

Ordered a Racechip for my 2016 BMW M5 Competition on 19/06/22. Filled in all the all the online details confirming model make of car. After a week it was delivered. The instruction manual is not for an M5 so where it is showing the boost sensors it is in the wrong place. When it came to fitting the connectors were incorrect. I sent them pictures of the actual fitting on 28th June. They said they would send out the correct harness. They sent it by economy courier which arrived 9 days later. Guess what even after I had sent them the pictures of the correct connectors they sent the wrong fittings again. 6th July back to customer support. 7th July I receive a response asking me to send them pictured of the connector on the car. I did that the first time! However I resent them to get a further response asking me to check if I am taking the correct sensors off. They sent me 2 pictures of a 540! I believe which has different intercoolers and the boost sensors for the M5 are on the side not the front of the intercoolers. No response from Racechip. I send a follow up email. 11th July message from them we will send you a new harness when it arrives. no estimated date? 13th July message to say it has been shipped. 22nd July harness arrives and is correct one. They could have at least sent in by 24 hour courier. If you buy from these people and have a problem be aware of my storey. I also called them on a number of occasions. Customer care is poor at best
