I used Radiotaxis for the first time today, and I would highly recommend this company. The office staff friendly and polite, and the drivers are polite and could not have been more helpful, I will defintely use again.
Thank you all at Radiotaxis,
To order a cab online, you have to give the information, and then wait for them to call "within the hour" to get your credit card information.
We had to get a taxi to Liverpool Street Station early in the morning with a baby and lots of luggage. After finally getting the call (more than an hour of waiting, but very nice lady) and waking up certain that a cab would show up at 6.30, at 6.25 an automated phone message told us that no taxi was coming after all, and sorry. The didn't have any available. The message had punch-in options to keep waiting or talk to an operator.
Luckily I was able to hail a cab from a nearby street, but when I got back to our flat, a car from radio taxis was waiting after all. The driver was understanding (maybe this happens a lot?) and cancelled our fare.
Either they run a very shoddy company, or their system is very antiquated and confusing. Two stars, since a car came away (then why the message?), and the people we spoke to were very nice. But this gave me a very stressful morning.
