Rainworth ŠKODA Reviews 

Last week I ordered a Skoda Wristwatch(s) via Jonathan in Parts Dept. and collected today.
Just to say thank you to Jon for a really good efficient and friendly service - a credit to Rainworths.

Also, when we visited the showrooms, we met Jayne . . . so welcoming, friendly and helpful - and got us a nice hot drink - thanks Jayne.

Both people are a credit to Rainworth’s.

I can’t thank the team at Mansfield enough. From start to finish the service and communication has been outstanding. Steve Cantrell and his colleague Phil were fantastic. I travelled from Northamptonshire to buy my new Škoda and I will make the journey again when my service is due. The car and deal was equally impressive. Highly recommended. Thank you all.

I took my Karoq in for its first service (10,000 miles) when I went to collect it I was told by the Service Reception person that my car had some advisories, I said how on a car that’s done less than 10,000 miles. They informed me that my back tyres were cracked and recommended I replace them! I of course refused and complained to Skoda. The dealership then back tracked on their statement and said they should be checked again in 6 months. I absolutely despise main dealers who try this upselling lark especially on vulnerable people who just agree and get ripped off. I will never darken Rainworth Skoda’s door again. Shame on you. If you actually read this review the rear tyres were moved to the front at 25,000 and have now done nearly 40,000 miles….. Beware if you take your car there.

Steve was very helpful, polite, knowledgeable and made an excellent cup of coffee.
This is my second purchase in the last few years from the company.
I would recommend the company and Steve to anyone with confidence.

An easy pleasant experience as far as car buying goes. Oliver was very professional and extremely helpful. Very happy with the car too.

The 2 stars are for the treatment during the sell of the car. The used car I bought had some minor issues that needed to be fixed in the first month of buying and also missing the spare key and service book. I requested to be fixed and offered to pay for the key and coding but had a reply and no follow up. I fixed the car on my own money and for the key I will look for another Skoda dealership because Im not sure this one is very reliable.

I'm just home after a 400 mile drive in my new Skoda. Steve and Phil at Rainworth provided an excellent, friendly service. Rainworth's prices were very competitive compared to the competition. Recommended.

Originally made contact with this garage via a phone call, very quickly I was dealing with the sales person Craig. I found him very knowledgeable and he had a good sense of humour, which I found great as he was easy to deal with. I had made arrangements to come and view the car that Saturday. I was travelling a few hours so Craig even followed up my enquiry on the Friday tonconfirm that the car was available to view. The Saturday came and he showed myself around the vehicle and had great knowledge of the features. Which is sometimes lacking from other dealerships. We had a slight haggle over the deal (mainly because I don't like spending money) during this time there was no high pressure to buy, he allowed myself time to think and make sure I was making the right decision. Today the Monday I had confirmed the order. Very pleasant experiance. Can't wait to collect the car now. Thanks everyone.

Visited today to resolve a problem matching my car up to Skoda Connect. This was my 3rd visit to Rainworth Mansfield..each time I've been impressed with the staff's helpful and knowledgeable approach. Today confirmed this...Russell (?) was friendly in welcoming me, Richard the technician was quick to identify the problem, and solved it effectively and efficiently. I also spoke to Mark to order an item...again friendly and keen to make sure I would get the correct item. This set me up on a busy day, before a road trip to Scotland, in the car , tomorrow! I really wish I could write a better review. I've now owned my Skoda Superb for about 3 years, purchased from Cinch, not Skoda. My car is covered under the Cinch warranty.
First of all, the car does not live up to its name!
My first, problem what the SOS system, I took it into Rainworth Skoda as it was reporting a fault. Right from the word go, they stated it would not come under the warranty as it was a software fault not hardware. If the software was faulty, it would be faulty from the start and therefore should be just fixed! However, they stated they would have a look, and it would be a minimum of £129+vat! Stating they hardly see the problem and would not know what it was until it was fully investigated (It is all over the internet as a known issue). The car came back fixed with so called system reset and it should not happen again. Stating to took them the whole hour to check it all so it was the full 129+vat. Two years later, my car body was damaged, and it was taken to VW in Mansfield for the body work. When I picked it up, they SOS fault was back. I walked back into the VW garage, and they said, that happens when you disconnect the battery. It literally took them 2 minutes to reset. Stating they could not believe Skoda even charged as it’s a known fault and Skoda would know about it!
My second experience was the Glow Plug relay packing up. Again, under warranty I took it in knowing the exact problem, I just wanted them to supply the part and fit it. As soon as the manager heard me saying cinch, he came running out saying to the staff to stop as they would not deal with them as cinch will not pay them £145 an hour! The refused to deal with me unless I paid myself, £145 + part! To me to go to Marshall Skoda in Arnold! I decided to purchase the part myself, £45 and it took 2 minutes to fit and then I cleared the OBDII codes. 5 minutes in total!
The manager even hard the guts to tell me I should not buy from cinch and should buy directly from them for a good service history (I’ve had loads of issues). The car was a full Skoda service history car when I got it!
There is not one good thing I can say.

A professional and friendly service from the staff, in particular from Steve Cantrell, who really did provide exceptional customer service.

Service is acceptable but could be better. I have a lease car and booked my car in for repairs. When I rang to arrange a loan car I asked if they could do further work, they agreed to do this and asked to have my car for 2 days. When I dropped my car off no record of this work and not attempt to do it. Service gets worse every time I take my car there.

A professional and down-to-earth friendly service from the staff, in particular Yassir, who gave me hours of attention when I was choosing a new car, and later collecting it, explained everything in detail and was endlessly patient in answering questions as they came up, encouraged me to believe that I'd enjoy and cope with my first new car in 21 years and handled all the paperwork very efficiently.
I feel assured that the dealership will continue to offer a personalised, supportive service as I use the car.

Today I change my vehicle from a Skoda to another manufacturer. I’ve used Rainworth Skoda for the past 3 years and always found the team there very helpful. Julian in service team. David Howley-Oats that sold me the motor all made owning the car quite stress free. Wish them all the best and if I ever want another Skoda. I’ll be back to Rainworth. People may ask why I didn’t buy another Skoda. Purely a commercial decision.

I have been leasing my cars from Skoda for a while now, and I just organised my third one. I couldn't be happier with the support Andrew Abbott, my consultant provides. He consistently finds the best deals within my price range and explains everything clearly, which puts my mind at complete ease. Leasing a car is a big commitment, so knowing I can trust Andrew is invaluable. His professionalism and dedication make the entire process smooth and stress-free. Oh, and the cars are pretty awesome too! Highly recommend Skoda for their exceptional service!

Searching for a towcar, Skoda Superb is a contender, but a Skoda's ability to tow anything and legally is frustratingly very difficult to find out. Mark at Rainworth has been most helpful to us with his advice and in rooting out the key details for potential vehicles. We've definitely struggled to do that ourselves. Thank you very much.

Just picked up my new car from rainworth Sheffield,and was very impressed with the whole service from start to finish. The salesman Oliver was not a run of the mill salesman,from the moment we sat down with him and i explained that i wasn't exactly sure what model/style of car i wanted he spent time narrowing all the options until i settled on the one i've just picked up. He made what can be quite a stressful experience really quite pleasant! Have used a few dealerships in my time but this one seems to pride itself on going a little bit further in the customer satisfaction area.

We have been using Rainworth Škoda for many years. Recently bought a Fabia model from this company. Excellent customer service from Simon who provided great knowledge and explained everything we needed to know. Impressed with Simon’s aftercare when we had a couple of issues which was resolved promptly.
