See fate of their hotel in Solihull. Turned into a slum. Steer clear of any of their 'hotels'
The Ramada Hotel by Wyndam in Reno NV has some serious business practices to clean up. I have been staying at this particular location for years now, unfortunately out of necessity due to its location. The hard earned money that I’ve spent there has added up to quite a considerable amount. I cannot remember a stay that’s ever gone without incident, some being minor in nature, and some being extremely troubling and costly for me. These issues run the gamut from arriving on the day of check in and being told they don’t accept the type of credit/debit card that I have, to being accused of sneaking people up to my room, which is absolutely untrue, as well as absurd! My wife and I have been targeted for issues that simply were not true, so much so that it’s bordering on slander, harassment, as well as homophobic in nature. The lack of knowledge about hotel policies as well as basic common sense and human decency coming from the employees there is absolutely baffling. My last stay at this hotel was extended and I ended up staying for two weeks to finish a business trip, this stay came out to a total in excess of $2,000, in which I received 0 points for on my member account even tho they were all booked correctly and fit within the company policy as qualifying stays. This would have also been the stay where I should have been spoken to about whatever policies I had supposedly broken, however there was no such conversation, nor warning. To my extreme shock this last Saturday March 23rd, 2024 as I stood in line to check in, I overheard the employee talking her manager in front of the guests who were checking in before me about how thy needed to be on standby because I had apparently been put on a list of guests who can no longer stay. That all on its own shows the level of unprofessional behavior shown by staff as well as management. Needless to say I was SHOCKED, confused, and more than a little upset. I was given a reason that was extremely vague and absolutely untrue, however, without incident and much embarrassment, I left the hotel. Every guest who’s been asked to leave has the legal right to ask why, that right was not taken seriously by anyone at the hotel. When my wife arrived a few minutes later and saw me in tears outside she went inside to enquire. She simply asked what had happened and was met with major hostility and a firm warning to leave the premises or the authorities would be called. We left peacefully, embarrassed, but peacefully, and we’re forced to spend triple the amount to stay elsewhere due to the late hour and busy weekend. Needless to say we are more than upset, and extremely shocked as we have NEVER gone thru anything like this before. Also needless to say I believe our rights have been ignored and hotel policy only enforced due to lack of knowledge, and an untruthful employee who’s personal issues with the gay and lesbian community as well as being questioned on company policies lead to extreme unprofessionalism shown by both the employee and management. I DO NOT recommend staying at this location for a multitude of reasons, however, if you like to take risks with your hard earned money, safety, and pride (momentarily) by all means have a great stay. This incident will not go by without consequence for hopefully the employee as well as management!
Room for improvement

Not much of a welcome when compared to previous stays at other Ramada venues, despite there being no other customers waiting when we checked in and out. Prices being so reasonable, we never expect much from the rooms, which are invariably basic and in need of a lick of paint here and there. However, even though we stay at the Ramada because we are dog owners, we do expect a certain degree of cleanliness and I'm afraid the shower fell short in this respect, with hairs and what looked like streaks of dust or dirt on the cubicle floor. The worst thing was that one of the twin beds creaked terribly if my partner so much as shed an eyelash. Although the hotel was generally quiet, and my bed was fine, the noise of the adjacent mattress creaking woke me up several times during the night. The room was so hot on arrival that even having turned the heating off it was still ridiculously hot in there when we went to bed, and we were unable to open a window. My biggest bugbear, however, is that we could not find a plug point or USB charger near the beds. This meant that my phone was on overnight charge on the other side of the room, out of reach, so I was unable to use it as a torch if I needed to get up in the night, and had to put the bedside light on, waking my partner (the alternative being to risk tripping over our sleeping dog). Overall, quite disappointing compared to other Ramada/Welcome Inns we've stayed at. Their slogan is "Hello to sleeping like a rock star", but I can only assume they are referring to a rock star with insomnia whose rider demands a large amount of amphetamines, since we hardly slept at all.
Harrisburg, PA Ramada Inn:
I understand you get what you pay for, but this place was a complete garbage can. I found roaches on the counters running around, dirty towels hanging in the bathroom from previous person who stayed there, the walls had something dried and dripping looking on them, obvious dirty carpets, toilets were dirty, stains on mattress, they advertise free hot breakfast and once I arrived they told me no they do not offer that, the gym area floor was noticeably filthy, the paint was peeling from the walls, and I was never brought any clean towels, it was just an overall let down.
Thankfully we only stayed for 6 hours. no sleep was had thanks to the AC unit. girls in the office were no help.
Still waiting for my refund for our evening meal.
Stayed at Ramada stansted. The manager Susette came to our room to sort problem out and quickly found us another room as TV not working.Beds were so comfortable. Great fluffy towels. Power shower amazing.Bit dusty but otherwise great place and very local to Stansted airport.
Stayed at the Ramada London North, very poor the hotel itself is in an ok location however hasn't changed since it was built i imagine. When i arrived to my room it smelt of cigarettes i told the front desk they said they were unable to move my room until 11am the next day which was ideal as the smell was over powering and the towles in the bathroom also smelt badly as well. That night on the ground floor monday evening there was a party of some sort in about 10 rooms with screaming shouting and loud music until 4am, several complaints and nothing was done as i was at work the next day this wasn't ideal. I eventually changed rooms which was suitable as no smoke smell however my experience overall was very very poor. I spent a week there for work and i would not refer anyone to go there.
Went to the oldbury ramada and was very disappointed. Used condoms under the chair in a condom box, dirty bed linen, holes in the wall, dirty shower, never stay here again. Think I will stick with Travelodge or Premier Inn.....
Ramada solihull, wont stay there again. Had to change rooms 3 times as they couldnt get it right.
Stayed at Park Hall Ramada Wolverhampton recently. Booked 7 rooms for a conference party. After leaving, we discovered that 2 of the rooms had been charged twice for the booking. When tried to retrieve payment staff were extremely unhelpful and very reluctant to accept responsibility for their mistake. Said it could take 3 weeks to be paid back. Utter nonsense. Definitely put off from staying there again.
I booked a room at the Ramada Hotel, Glasgow Airport for my daughter prior to her taking an early morning flight out next day. This was all done online through Airhotels.co.uk, part of Holiday Extras. Despite having paid and received a confirmation, my daughter arrived at the Ramada Hotel around 11pm only to be told by the duty manager that there was no booking in that name and, moreover, the hotel was full and there were no rooms available. The result was that my daughter was turned away and had to find another hotel without any help from Ramada or Holiday Extras.
Dreadful service. I would not use again.
Had this hotel booked through a third party company and was impressed from the start. A great hotel in a fab location, right on the tram route so easy access to the city centre. Would certainly use again, thanks
