Ramblers cancelled our holiday 4 weeks before we were due to depart. We had already booked our chanel crossing, hotels in the way and back and our pet sitter. None of this is recoverable. We certainly won't be using them again.

Look at the cleanliness reviews before, this hotel
Where do I start? Well booked a 3 night stay online a "so called Luxury Room" ( not luxury in any way ) well the room when entered was filthy and it is not like service filth but aged filth,
Bathroom full of limescale , Taps, Bath, Shower screen.
All skirting boards and white doors absolutely riddled with dirt.
Dust over desks and tv
Bed was broken and at a slant.
Carpet are badly stained.
Furniture broken and ripped
I refused to sleep in the room or even stay stay at the hotel, and asked for a refund as I was not going to be staying in there, its been over a week now and not had any issue of a refund so I will be taking this further and onto legal this is not acceptable level of service.

Claire on the reception who I walked around the room and also was taking pictures on all the issue's and totally agreed with the on condition of the room,
My recommendation is check the room it you are staying here before you pay!! When I see the reviews left by other reviewers I am not the only one so there is a pattern in regards to this hotel.

They book flight seats that you can't prebook until 24 hrs before the flight a nightmare I have a disability and need an aisle seat I cannot scramble over er 1/2 seats . company totally unhelpful .

this should be very clear in the notes before you book

First time using Ramblers Walking Holidays, went on the Kenilworth/Leamington holiday over the Easter Week.
The holiday was excellent, hotel Chesford Grange, was great and the food good, hotel staff very friendly.

Our walk leader was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable, even gave us some flora and fauna education on the walks, he clearly loves taking people on walks.

Walks were good, especially the Hatton Locks walk, loved it.

Weather wasn't great in the Easter week but this did not detract from the excellent hotel and Walk Leader and the walks themselves, will definitely use Ramblers Holidays again.

My complaint is with Adagio which are part of Ramblers
The online booking system is dreadful. My friend booked a holiday for us by phone (she needed to clarify certain points) The confirmation came to me and when I tried to access to manage the booking online, I was unable to do so . When I phoned, I was told only the "lead" (who had not received a confirmation!) could do so. 4 weeks later and we still are unable to access the booking. To make matters worse , they have ridiculous hours of opening when you can phone!

I have had about four trips with Ramblers and would recommend them to any keen walkers.
