After two weeks at Ranum Summer School, my daughter has gained independence and fluency in English. It was an unforgettable experience for her, filled with sharing and encounters. As a parent, we greatly appreciated the professionalism and kindness of the support team. A healthy and peaceful environment!

I've been in REC as a student in 2022-23 and it was one of the very best years of my life.
As a foreign student I always felt included by the locals (Danish students) but also by the teachers.
They really make you feel at home even though you're miles away.
All the travels are amazing and you are able to learn a lot from new cultures but mostly you learn a lot from yourself.
I really think this is a place that brings out the best of yourself.

Shit. Udder shit. Absolutely everything is unorganized and poorly managed. Rude and HIGHLY unprofessional staff that lack empathy and integrity. The staff are all children and should be ashamed of their actions. Food couldn’t be worse. Rules are always unclear, changed, and confusing. Information is just not a thing here. The local store totally scams foreigners out of lots of money. Beautiful area hiding a terrible school. Please don’t send your children here.

Ranum efterksole was a mesmerizing year that made me change so much in a positive way, I made endless memories, friends that will last a lifetime and opened myself to visiting new countries and learning new activities like wakeboarding, windsurfing, climbing etc. I also had all of the teachers supports for anything I needed and always people there by my side. The efterksole experience made me earn skills that will help propel me further in life and I will forever be grateful for them.

Attending Ranum Efterskole was eye-opening and changed my view of the world. It made me more independent, boosted my confidence, and provided me with lifelong skills and memories I hold dearly. Overall, enrolling in Ranum was the best choice I could have ever taken

You have to be ready for A LOT of friends and people 24/7, which I really like, but if you aren't in love with the though, you can always get a single-room ;) (They have 1-7 pers. rooms) I loved the thought of always having someone close to me and it was an amazing experience for me.

It is the second largest efterskole (boarding school) in Denmark, with about 420 students, so of course you have to be ready for that, but for me it was all really great.

You dont only get to be a student of the school, but you get to be a part of it! The school year is split into 3 "stages". The optional course, the cultural course and the optional course again. The optimal course is the first and last part of the year, where you get to pick a subject that you really like, to focus on. Such as: Diving, art, music, sport, adventure, street performance, motor bike and so much more. The cultural course is in the middel of the school year, where you get to focus on a location. Such as: Hawaii, London, Australia, Brazil, Rio and much more. If you suddenly get an idea for a new subject or location you simple just gather 8-10 people who also want to do it and make a presentation for the teachers, and then the subject is made! :) I made Hawaii with some of my friends, and it is one of the biggest locations now, only 2 years later! :)

One thing I also really liked was that you get to make your own schedule, I love english and so I picked "Cambridge English" which is a higher level and if you are like me, and dont really like math, you can be on a lower level, so that you can focus on the subjects you like.

I got to go on amazing journeys; where i sailed in Greece, went diving and surfing in hawaii, skated though the streets of Berlin, went skydiving out of a plane and made some life-long friends, so all in all, the best year of my life. REC 15/16 will always be a big part of me, and will always be in my heart.
