Bait and switch for supposedly "premium" subscriptions
Signed up for a premium account. The transaction was flagged by my bank. That should have been an immediate sign. Once I signed up, not only were downloads unusably slow, they told me that I would have to sign up for an additional monthly fee for a "Solo Subscription". Another ILLEGAL bait and switch. I have asked for a refund but I'm willing to bet that I have to open up another chargeback.
I also found out that Rapidgator is a Cyprus-based company. The only other Cyprus company I've ordered from ALSO tried to add additional fees, resulting in a 1-star TrustPilot review. It's a country of scammers and the EU needs to step in.
Rapidgator refunded my money but the unusable slow speeds and insisting on an ADDITIONAL "Solo Subscription" (which is monthly with a subscription/charging *requirement*) are just bad business practices. Rapidgator was easily the 5-star choice for online file sharing sites like this before this. I would go with 1fichier, but it all of these sites making you buy through resellers is a huge sign that the industry is shady and it only seems to be getting worse.
