Eugene Roshal never said a word about this. English newspapers are silent even after decades.
I don’t think why banks should trust Eugene Roshal or his colleagues now.
It's a shame they're still in business after this.
From my experience and understanding, here's what I found out... I just made a purchase on shop.win-rar.com. I used PayPal to make the purchase. I received an email confirmation from Cleverbridge (the payment gateway, I believe.) It also seems that the URL win.rar is a German based company (GmbH) and is the url that shows in the Cleverbridge confirmation email.
RARLab.com and Win-RAR.com seem to both be the official sites. Rarlab.com is apparently the main company that creates all the products including Win-RAR. win-rar (dot) com is the site where you can purchase WinRAR. Shop.Win-RAR (dot)com is where you will be redirected when ready to make the purchase.
