Very poor quality

Bought leather ankle boots in autumn 2024. The heels have worn out completely in just a few months, the front of the boats scraped and scratched as if they’d been worn for years. I don’t think I’ve ever had such poor quality shoe wear in my life. Not even going to bother to repair them. They weren’t cheap either. Beautiful design but quality is extremely poor.

Broken heel on second light wear

Wore a new pair of Ravel heels twice at work (I have worn a pair of M&S heels a hundred times in the same place and never had any issues) and the heel suddenly broke, no weird steps or cause, just stood up and it happened.
You can't contact customer services as shoes were bought from another retailer, so they will just be binned. Terrible - they didn't appear to be of poor quality but other reviews suggest the same.

£6 Charges and no shoes

Lovely shoes but not true to size - had to return - £6 delivery charges (in all) for shoes that didn’t fit - beware of these costs - and order a size up - there’s something to be said for actual shopping and trying on goods - won’t be using again - now I have no shoes and have lost £6 in the process

Poor quality and customer service

Bought a pair of sequinned heels. The first time I wore them, the heel detached from the shoe. I tried to take them back to the shop I purchased them from but I didn’t have the receipt and the purchase was too long ago.
I’ve tried to contact customer service several times with photos but had no answer. I have been advised that it will cost £40 to repair and is not worth it for the price of the shoe. I will not be buying from Ravel again. Disappointing.

Broken Heel

I bought some gorgeous Ravel sequin court shoes which I’d only worn twice…. And the heel came off whilst I was at my function. This is the second time this has happened with Ravel. I was unable to have them refunded by the local shop I purchased them from as it was too late. I contacted Ravel Customer Services to ask for the shoes to be repaired or refunded but I’ve not heard from them since! I definitely won’t be buying from Ravel again and I definitely don’t recommend them due to poor customer service.

Ravel shoes and matching bag arrived…

Ravel shoes and matching bag arrived with what looked like dye marks on the shoes at the front and on the heel. They both had a strong plastic smell. I returned them using the Ravel returns process then had to chase them for the refund. I emailed them and received a very soulless reply saying my refund was processed only to discover only 1 item was. I emailed them again and received the same soulless response that the other refund was processed. Considering I paid postage this was not included in the refund. It was either waste my time writing another email to them or write this review. 1st time ordering from Ravel - very lack lustre

Rude assistant - Appalling service

This is a review regarding the Ravel shop in Leeds City centre. I went into this shop looking for shoes to match a particular colour dress. The young assistant was serving someone else, but asked if I needed help, I told her my requirement and showed her the fabric colour, to which she reeled of shoe colours, told me I had cold untones, whatever that means?? Then carried on serving the other person. She didn't direct me to any designs and I felt she was extremely rude and bad mannered. When one goes into a shop like Ravel, you expect a certain level of service. I didn't receive that service. I have previously purchased shoes from Ravel and had excellent service. Maybe it would have been better, if she served one customer at time!

Simply the best

I bought the Black & Gold Leather Anya Wedge Sandals today. Ordered on Thursday, arrived on Friday!

The quality is stunning - exactly what I wanted and hoped for. I will probably buy another colour later in the year.

This is a shop that I've loved since the 80s and so glad that they continue to operate under very high standards.
