Surface Preparation and System Build-Up For best performance, surface preparation is critical. The substrate must be clean, stable, and dry. Remove contaminants and existing membranes with sandblasting or paint remover. Structural imperfections, including cracks over 0.6 mm, should be filled after applying appropriate primers such as Primerlite or Hidrocril. Use acrylic putty for repairs. Before coating large horizontal areas, reinforce critical junctions such as drains, upstands, and outlets. A full system can include mesh reinforcement for enhanced elasticity and mechanical performance. The full application involves: Cleaning and drying the surface thoroughly. Priming according to substrate type (refer to substrate table on page 2 of data sheet). First coat of undiluted paint with embedded mesh (160 g/m²) for structural movement resistance. Subsequent coats to fully encapsulate the mesh and achieve a 2l/m² dry film thickness. Application Method and Conditions Apply with brush, roller, or spray gun. Do not apply when surface temperature is below 5°C or during hot conditions. Humidity must be below 80%, and the surface temperature should exceed dew point by 3°C. Avoid rain and wind during application. Water exposure before full curing may cause discolouration or film breakdown. Clean tools with soapy water immediately after use. Restrictions and Limitations Do not apply over standing water or on surfaces without proper slope for drainage. Not suitable for continuous vehicular traffic or pedestrian areas under high abrasion. Avoid puddling of the product; ensure even application. Do not use below 5°C or when rain is expected during drying. Do not dilute.
