The 3302 CombiPrimer is an excellent product. It is much thinner than thought it would be so car is required during application. The product dries quickly so complete your application quickly. It has a very toxic smell so be careful and don't breathe in the fumes ! Work as far as possible in a well ventilated area. The primer remains tacky by design so apply another coat not later than one hour after the first. Also pay great attention to clean the working surface of your metal and make sure that all traces of any grease is removed before starting the job. The dried tacky surface is brilliant for applying the top coat of your coloured paint.
Does what it says on the tin, a little on the expensive side, but hopefully will be worth it in the long term
The primer is easy to use and you can paint after half an hour which is fabulous
Easy to use - perfect for the job
Great product really helped top coat adhere to smooth metal
It's really runny and so really easy to apply. I wire brushed, sanded and then cleaned with sugar soap as per instructions I found online for preparing a galvanised steel garage door. I was extremely pleased with initial results of a coat of this on then Rustoleum combi colour, got an amazing finish, water was even beading on the surface, it was almost waxy. However I'm slightly dissappointed 2 - 3 weeks later the rust is starting to bleed through a bit in the rusty areas. I believe I will need to prepare that area again and then apply more than one coat to try and block it from coming through, it should also help that the roof is going to be replaced, so the back of the door won't be getting wet from the elements any more.
