Surface Preparation Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from any contaminants that may interfere with adhesion. Remove all loose or peeling paint and sand edges to smooth. Special precautions should be taken for surfaces painted before 1960, as they may contain lead. New concrete, masonry, and other related surfaces must cure for at least 30 days before priming. For effective mould and mildew removal, use appropriate fungicidal wash products. Treat timber at risk from decay or insect attack with suitable preservatives. Use Zinsser B-I-N Primer-Sealer to spot-prime knots and sap streaks. Zinsser Cover Stain is ideal for priming new or unpainted cedar, redwood, or other resinous timbers. Application Instructions Shake or stir well before use. Apply with synthetic bristle brush, roller, or sprayer (use a .017” tip and 2000-2500 PSI for airless spraying). Ensure air and surface temperature are between 10° & 32°C with less than 85% humidity during application and curing.
