Stay clear of this company at all costs!!
Products are not as described and cheap rubbish. Bought my son a 50cc quad bike for his birthday, we had problem after problem to the point it blew up and actually wouldn’t then start again, this was after it’s had been ridden for no more than an hour ad a half in total!!
Numerous emails back and forward, they would always put the blame on to myself, then said it was out of warranty (it was less than 3 months old).
Excuse after excuse, wouldn’t give me a refund as they said I had used the bike and put petrol in it!! How are you to know there is a problem unless you use it!
I’m the end they wouldn’t do anything and we’re very unhelpful. I paid £25 and took them to a small claims court! They had to pay back the cost of the bike.
Please please do not waste your time or money on this company. You will end up very disappointed, more than likely out of pocket and be taken for a mug.

Purchased quad bike from seller which i thought was a full size quad bike and ended up being a medium size quad bike.
Ripped open the cardboard to inspect when it arrived.
Repackaged the quad and sent back.
Confirmed received and was then told i would be charged £75.00 for re packaging cost due to the ripped cardboard.

Bought a 39cc LC Mini Moto from RC Hobbies, The delivery was excellent but that was about it. the bike turned up in a bust box (possibly due to the carrier), however when inspecting the bike it looked new but new old stock as it was dusty, starting to rust in places.

The clutch fell apart on first use due to corrosion of the friction materials. there was a spare clutch from manufacture in the box but this disintegrated the moment I took it out the bag, it was all white fur from corrosion.

I had been in touch with them the day after and they advised they would send out a new clutch which I received and was the wrong size (49cc with bigger shoes) I then contacted again and they said they would ship the right 1 out ASAP.

4 weeks down the line I have been made aware that they don't have any these clutches in stock and will never get them again.

So I'm basically sitting without a clutch in the bike. not happy at all. now having to source on Amazon/eBay for the correct clutch.

Please avoid this company, they are scammers. I bought a quad from them for my son and the welding snapped on the chassis resulting in a broken arm. Upon my request for a refund they sent me a document to sign to absolve them of any injury liability before they would release my refund. They blackmailed me. I still haven't gotten a refund from them. The two company directors have a multitude of limited companies that they have set up and dissolved. Avoid this company like the plague. They also trade under retail imports and the little wooden toy store. There actual company was dissolved in 2016 but they are still trading under retail imports in Swindon. Honestly if you buy anything from these guys and even mention the reviews on here they will tell you that trustpilot is a scam company. Purchase at your own peril.

I recently purchased an electric quad with a crash helmet. It was a pre order so i knew it would be a few weeks however after numerous emails and calls the quad turned up but no helmet. Contact them again numerous times with no joy so opened a dispute with PayPal.

PayPal refunded me the full amount and before the funds landed in my account Ian at RC Hobbies contacted me saying i needed to pay them back for the quad. They have left me a voicemail to contact them and make payment but they don't answer the phone and there isn't a voicemail service.

Guess they will have to wait even longer for their money back.

Please do not use this company, the service is appalling.

Would have given 5 stars if I hadn't paid for next day delivery because it was a week late, but basic knowledge is all that's needed to assemble and it works perfectly. Spare fuses well built. I bought if for my 7 year old daughter and it suits her size perfectly. She probably weighs 20kg I weigh 87 kg and the motor pulled us both on it together with ease. The battery is li-ion and lasts well. Run at full speed for around an hour.
If you're buying from these guys don't expect any email replies. But you will receive your item. Cheers fellas. All in all a good transaction. Happy with my purchase and my daughter is over the moon!

Don’t buy from here bought a mini moto and never worked since I’ve had it never been ridden and and bike was smashed on arrival

I bought 2 quad bikes for my kids, spent £1200! During the second use BOTH quads just suddenly stopped working!
I have tried ringing Rc hobbies many times but THEY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE!
I have also sent Them many emails but THEY DO NOT REPLY!
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAPPY COMPANY WITH THEIR CRAPPY AFTER SALES....... you will end up out of pocket with very disappointed children 🤬🤬🤬

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!

I don't even know where to start!
Terrible company, Terrible/non existant customer service.
Faulty products, not delivered on time, absolutely no chance of getting a refund or replacement when you return anything.
Or even a returned email or an answered phone call!

I've never been more disappointed or unsatisfied with a company than RC hobbies.
Please, please believe these reviews that are being left on trust pilot, they are genuine warnings to any potential customers.
I'm completely shocked that these people are still trading in the UK!

If you're reading these reviews about this company and considering purchasing something from them I'm asking you to please consider other options.
Yes, they may be a few quid cheaper than their competitors but I promise you, in the long run it will cost you more in lost money, upset and frustration.
Please just pay a few pounds more and get whatever it is that you want from a reputable retailer.
Take it from a father that is now out of pocket from making the mistake of using RC Hobbies to buy his son a birthday present back in May and is still chasing it!

Ordered from website...3 days later tell me it is out of stock and refunding.
No thought of a call or to ask whether would be interested in something else.
Will not be wasting my time with them again.

Recently bought a quad bike from these guys, when it arrived the box was a right mess, bits were bent and damaged, I've put all this right as they weren't interested, but it's still a poor quality product. Definitely wouldn't use these guys again, I queried these trustpilot reviews to them, and they had some quite believable excuse as to why the bad reviews were on trustpilot,but don't fall for it, the reviews are real ! But somewhere else.

Do not use this company !!! I bought a rc car from them it was faulty so I asked for a refund and was told no cause I have used it , how the hell do you no if something works or not if you dont test it, i was then told to swap wires around for it to work you dont buy a product to have to swap wires or even fix it. I was refused a refund because they can resell a faulty item but yet they sold me a faulty item

We chose the 110cc electric start petrol quad for my son (10) we decided to pay £20 extra for next day delivery. The next day came, No quad! Day after, No quad. I rang the company and tbh he wasn’t much help but polite and nice enough. Another day went buy i was so annoyed. In the end my partner rang and got it sorted , i got a refund of my £20 next day delivery charge and the quad took 4 days in total to arrive. So its not the end of the world.
The quad is great, great condition, no problems, my son loves it! Seriously contemplating buying my soon to be 4 year old an electric quad for his upcoming birthday.

We bought my son a motorbike (£549.99) on 27th April. Delivery stated 3-5 days waited til the 7th May called in to say we hadn't received it the guy said there's likely to be a problem someone will get back to me which didn't happen so called again on the 12th may to ask what's happening he
did apologize and said a refund would be issued. I'm pleased to say today the refund landed into my account. I did all the running around so to speak but glad of the outcome after the horror stories I'd read on here.

Totally nightmare of a company bought my son A quad for Xmas and never worked from the day I bought it. Don’t answer emails and when they eventually do they are no help at all. Got trading standards involved now as this is just a rip off and waste of money for something that does not work at all and us dangerous for kids to use with bolts missing and other faults

Ordered a quad bike . Came with damaged plastics and seat fixing not supplied . Handle bar bolt had damaged thread . Gear selector was foot one not a hand one . Don't bother buying anything from them as they promised to supply me with the missing parts but that was a month ago . They don't answer there email's as tried contacting them 14 times now asking where my parts are . Haven't ridden the quad since I've had it . Going to mail trading standards now as fed up with them .Now they have blocked my account found out that they also operate under a different name as well. To late now as I've taken screenshots of everything I can find . Glad I paid by credit card as I'm claiming under section 75 of the credit act to get the money back from the card company as item is not fit for the purpose . Keep you posted.
PayPal refunded all the money now . Top marks to credit act
