DO NOT INSURE WITH MULTITRIP

DO NOT INSURE WITH MULTITRIP, REACTIVE CLAIMS ARE THE UNDERWRITERS. THEY DONT GIVE THE CORRECT INFORMATIONN FOR DOCUMENTS THAT ARE NEEDED TO FULFILL A CLAIM. THEY DO ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF PAYING.

Our Claim

From start to finish, all the people from Reactive Claims that we dealt with, were professional, polite, efficient and most importantly, good communication.
Form, easy to complete with good guidance.
Awaiting payment, but was advised up to seven days.

A successful and prompt transaction

It was my first experience of putting in an insurance claim for a cancelled holiday so I was somewhat anxious.
Their website was easy to understand, there was a lot of paperwork to sort out but there was good guidance.
Eventually I submitted my claim as an email and immediately received a confirmation of receipt email. Within six days I was contacted by email to be told the claim had been accepted and my money would be in my bank account within 7 to 10 days.
A very smooth and trouble free transaction.
I have not received my money yet but it is only today that I have been advised of my successful claim and on their current performance I do not anticipate any difficulties. Very good company to deal with.

What a horrible company to have to deal…

What a horrible company to have to deal with. I put forward a perfectly legitimate claim and after 8 weeks I had no response, so I complained.

I was then told that they wouldn't be paying me because my insurance cover didnt start the day I flew, it started the day after, despite my claim being within the claim period. There is nothing in their policy wording about this.

I complained again and threatened them with the FCA, at which point they did a U-turn and said they would pay me. After waiting nearly 2 weeks I finally have my money

This company have terrible response times and seems to go out of its way to find ways not to pay you. It's a disgrace.

I'll still be going to the FCA about this, because I think some people making legitimate claims won't have pushed as hard as I did and will be missing out on money they are entitled to

Terrible company.

Terrible company.. sent paperwork off at the beginning of May 2023, End of August still no further forward.
Time wasting tactics all the way and some emails are quite impertinent too.
They have got two more weeks before I go to the Financial Ombudsmen.

We sent in our travel claim and apart from one request for addition information the service was prompt and hassle free. You often hear bad reports about travel insurance claims but can honesty say we were really pleased with the exceptional service we received.

Pleasantly surprised!

My claim was handled quickly and efficiently. It was straightforward to enter all of the basic details of the claim on-line, with additional information by email. I thought that it was all going to be more complicated than it was, as my rental car had been booked as part of a holiday package, but I was pleasantly surprised! I will definitely use again.

Stay clear

Sent claim in no response for a month then eventually got through on phone to be told its just been dealt with now you should get money soon - then no response and when chased up said you filled out wrong form - complete waste of time as was told when forst spoke to them and registered claim to get Doctor letter and enclosed with all relevant paperwork - £1000 out of pocket so I hope this warns off others from this insurance company - wish I had checked out all these bad reviews before I used this insurance company

Shocking!

So far, they’ve been appalling with time wasting tactics and claims they have not received paperwork from me, even when I have acknowledgement emails. Still asking for this and nowhere nearer to getting my money back. I first reported this at the beginning of June! Seriously considering Financial Ombudsman.

After reading all the negative reviews…

After reading all the negative reviews and people complaining i had no faith however its took just over 3 months and my claim has been paid! you just have to make sure your sending in the right paperwork or it will only delay the process!

Utter lack of any customer service

Reactive Claims processed our claim on our travel insurance in seven weeks and paid us in full. That is the only positive thing I can possibly say about this "organisation". Any communication during the entire process was completely one sided, at no point were we kept informed of the progress of our claim, and when we did ring up for an update the story changed every time. At the four week point I was told that our claim had been passed to the claim handlers and there was no outstanding information needed. When ringing to chase after six weeks I was told that we needed to provide proof of payment - something we had already provided in our initial claim. When I rang again at seven weeks we were told our claim had been passed to claim handlers and nothing was outstanding, and when I said I had already been told that three weeks ago I was told "well it's done now, bye" and that was that. The next day I did then get an email confirming my claim was being paid, the only time anyone had actually contacted me during the whole claim.

This is not good enough. They need to remember that they are dealing with people who have experienced a medical emergency, have already paid out a lot of money for treatment, and are now left out of pocket and rightly worried that they may not be reimbursed. If evidence is required to process the claim, this should be requested. It should not be up to the customer to continually chase and chase and be told different stories each time we call.

All we want is a little bit of customer service. It's not much to ask, you've been told this over and over again by the vast majority of the reviews on here, so what do you intend to do about it?

AWFUL SERVICE

They ask you to jump through hoops to claim. So we jumped through all the hoops including paying our GP to fill in a requisite form and sending everything in the correct format as required.

Avoid These Fraudsters

Absolute rubbish service. No contact for weeks so I called to expedite and was told, "we are busy, you just have to wait". I cancelled my holiday because I had to look after my mother. She died days later. I do not expect anything from these fraudsters but if I do get my genuine settlement, I will let you know. Do not hold your breath though.

Its 9 months now since my claim

Its 9 months now since my claim. I have emailed several times with noresponse, ive phoned and left messages and no response. I paid for the Premium Policy over £120 as well. This company are scammers. I will be going to the Ombudsman and reporting.

AVOID

Avoid any company that use these people
They don’t answer emails messages that they ask you to leave
Trying to get them on the phone is near impossible when you get to speak to them the same answer it’s with the claim handlers
I don’t have a large claim I feel sorry for people that have spent a lot of money on a holiday and have had to cancel it will take months if ever to get your money back

After an initial hiccup

After an initial hiccup while our file was transferred from a previous claims handling agent, Reactive quickly reviewed the file. Once we had sent final the requsted cancellation invoices and a letter from my GP have agreed to settle our cancellation claim in full, less some airport and ATOL charges and the policy excess

Had to cancel a major holiday due to ill health

Reactive Claims provided an excellent and informative service. Cancelling a major holiday due to illness is stressful enough on its own without additional hassle and I dreaded it. I needn't have! The Reactive Claims team made this as hassle free as it could be - thank you.
