Claims are outsourced to this company

This Claims Management firm unfortunately can@t be avoided. If you buy and insurance policy through a variety of Insurers, if you are unfortunate enough to need to claim, the handling of the claim is sub contracted to Reactive Claims, so you are no longer dealing with the company you originally paid your premium to!
Reactive claims have a mandate from their customer (your original insurer) to follow the policy wording to the letter, and they have no flexibility and are required to minimise any claim as part of their contract.
It may be better to pay more and choose an Insurance Company who handle their own claims (check before you buy) where you can argue, negotiate or even complain with the company you originally paid your heard earned cash to.

A easy to deal with company

Having read about the experiences of others i was slightly concerned about things. To be honest if your claim is genuine then you have nothing to fear as my claim for insurance on medical grounds was agreed and processed in around 21 days. Make sure you send everything as they need in the correct format and it makes life easier on all counts.

THE WORST!

Utterly useless company.
Currently dealing with their Managing Director (easy enough to Google his name - email format is pretty standard and easy to work out too should you need to).

He is now ignoring my emails.

Happily filed a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman which I suggest everyone does.
Free, impartial and law binding on Reactive Claims.

Wouldn't call this lot reactive, or proactive. Actively useless, perhaps.
Painfully slow to deal with and dishonest in the process.

Avoid

Avoid. This company needs to close, they are borderline scammers.
When the claim was sent, it produced no reply
When the claim was resent it produced letters saying no receipts had been received
This went in for 6 months
My COVID certificate, when sent, was rejected on the grounds that it should have been issued in the country of departure, before travel, a requirement which was not stated in the (lengthy) summary contract terms

I intend to lodge a complaint with the regulators.

Ryan Air offered this insurance when the airline ticket was bought, so they are partly to blame. Meanwhile my wife, insured by HSBC, has been fully and swiftly reimbursed.

Absolutely the worst company i have…

Absolutely the worst company i have ever dealt with. Even after 6 months and jumping through every hoop, providing every further piece of evidence they asked for, they finally say THEY WILL NOT PAY OUT FOR ANYTHING WITHOUT A RECEIPT.
Now you could say that is fine, but who has a receipt for everything in their travel bag?
Gifts from other people, tough, not covered.
Things you bought second hand, tough, not covered.
Changed your bank and now dont have them, tough, not covered.

Their communication is rude when you do finally get it, and they may as well sign each email off with a middle finger as they do not care.
Emails dont even start with a Hello, just straight into the negatives.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Extremely poor service which has left me feeling cheated.

I made a claim for the cost of getting to the airport by taxi in order to make our flight after the coach we were due to catch was delayed by an accident. A taxi was the only way we could make it in time for the flight.

The policy states that it covers costs if transport to the airport is delayed by an accident on the road.

However, they refused the claim because we didn't miss our flight. So, even though this would have cost considerably more, they said that we couldn't get reimbursed. When I disputed this, they said there was no evidence that we would have missed our flight.

I had provided a letter from the coach company which confirmed that the taxi was the only option and I was able to provide further evidence of the times of our journey from my Apple Watch.

They didn't respond to emails even though they had failed to read the evidence properly and just stated in their decision letter that it was the final response.

My flight been cancelled. I was stuck in the airport with my daughter for 5 days and the insurance company don't want to pay me because I didn't cancel the flight by myself. My flight was canceled because of extreme weather conditions.

Our daughter was a victim of a very serious crime back in summer of 2022. We had to cancel the holiday and only just received a response from this Joke or a company. They denied our application, even though Jet2 said it would absolutely be accepted and we’d have our money back in due course.

This company needs to he investigated immediately.

Avoid!

I've been trying to claim for a missed holiday due to Covid since last July. Huge spells of no contact and wriggling to get out of paying, despite a letter from BA confirming the payment amounts, non attendance and no refund. Communication has been poor. Will be taking this up with the Ombudsman
