I would rate no stars if possible

I would rate no stars if possible. Horrible! Parking lot was potholed, exterior patched with plywood. Plaster/concrete falling and I-beams rusting. The room had NOT been cleaned prior to our entry. Used bra hanging on bathroom door. Floors grimy. The room safe was an extra charge. Spots on mattress pad and sheets. Air conditioner sounded like a bad car engine. We were there for the total eclipse at U of Toledo and the clerk knew NOTHING of it nor could give us directions to the campus. The Red Roof was bogusly called Red Roof Toledo- University.
As we walked in a residential area to find the campus, we spoke with two very nice locals who asked that we not judge their area by the ‘quality’ of the Red Roof. Look elsewhere.

I can see why this hotel chain has such a low rating 2.2 out of 5! The GAFFNEY hotel is misrepresent itself when it comes to their pricing. They are waiting one price online to book your room, but when you check out you find your bill has been padded! And don’t try to ask questions you’ll be dismissed. Once have your money, they don’t care. There are other hotels in town to choose from…. Stay away from the Red Roof Inn!C.Wilson

Red Roof Inn

Red Roof Inn, I 95 Cedar Creek road
North Carolina.
We arrived around 8 PM and were greeted by two very lovely young ladies. Great personalties and made these tired old bones feel welcome. A
My first complaint was when we arrived at our room the strong for of bleach assaulted my senses, giving me an immediate headache. After a bit of an air out, the air was breathable.
We brought our 2 miniature Doxies with us and were very happy to be able to run around our room. But, when they stopped at the bathroom and were staring intently at a spot. It turned out to be dog poop, all over the floor. So much for thinking the room was cleaned with bleach…sanitized according to their website. (I had to clean it up)
Backtracking a bit, online the room was $89.00 to book the room. I filled out the information and before I hit confirm, I noticed the price was $139.99! So, I called them and explained the price to them on their website. The woman apologized and said she would give me a discounted rate. The tally was $ 121.83! Yes the room was $79.00 where the rest was for service fees! What’s the service fee you ask? Because I called the number on their website to set the reservation. That was an additional $42.83! Yeah, talk about rip off!
Back to my list of complaints. So after cleaning up the poop from the previous guest, I checked the shower. There was a tiny bar of soap and one of shampoo, which was empty. The toilet paper was empty too. There were only 2 small towels for us to use. The toilet seat was broken so if you sat, you’d slide off if you weren’t careful and, the fan didn’t work. (I bring my own cleaning supplies)
Next were the beds. (I always bring my own sheets and blankets) I pulled down the bedspread and a dirty smell wafted up. It looked like someone had slept in that bed and housekeeping only smoothed it back out. I was disgusted!
There was a microwave, refrigerator, an iroqqqqqqqqn and ironing board, coffeemaker with coffee, a blow dryer with a bright night light.
There is also a small strip of grass outside for dogs to potty. I always carry poop bags to clean up after our dogs. There were no poop bags for people to clean up after their pets. I’m guessingqq no one but me cleans up after their dogs because the place was loaded with poop. I walked my dogs elsewhere.
The morning breakfast was mediocre. Toast, bagels, cereals, oatmeal were offered. If you wanted waffles, you had to make them yourself. Very over cooked hard boiled eggs were offered and some yogurt. Juices and coffee were offered. They were ok.
Will we stay at a Red Roof Inn again? Maybe, but I’ll be sure to call the hotel itself and not the number given on their website. The Hampton is pet friendly so we’ll try them next time and hope for a better, cleaner experience.

Red Roof Inn Ann Arbour

Matt was working at the front desk and even though he was quite busy he was friendly and went out of his way to make my check in pleasant. He took his time with each client. Giving his undivided attention. The woman checking in ahead of me had some issues with payment. He looked into it and came up with a solution. He is an asset to your company. My only complaint would be that there were no accessible outlets near the bed for charging, and the bathtub was very worn.

I stopped at a Red Roof Inn in Niagara…

I stopped at a Red Roof Inn in Niagara Falls New York. I would it recommend this motel to anyone. Although the price was reasonable, old saying you get what you pay for holds up. The linen on the beds looked like they had not been changed or cleaned in a very long time. They were very dirty. When we asked for new linens they told us they would just cancel our room. No attempts were made to help keep us as a customer. Not very friendly. I have stayed at other ones and they were very nice and very clean.

I stopped at the Red Roof Inn in…Morrow, Georgia

I stopped at the Red Roof Inn in Morrow, Georgia last night. It started out rough. When I got out of the car I put my little dog down and 2 large dogs ran up. I was able to grab her up and chase the other 2 away. I called the front desk and he said they are not mean. I looked out and a Rottweiler was laying in front of the door. I called again, he said to take my dog down by the office. I did, he did come out and watched for them. He said that one stayed there and didn’t know about the other. Sorry!!! Where was the leash!!! The room wasn’t very clean. The mirror was a mess! There wasn’t a blanket on the bed, unless they consider the satin like bedspread. I found an empty wrapper and an unused condom in the drawer. There was no breakfast! There was a sign in the office that stated if you are not happy with your room, you have 10 minutes to get back there for a refund!! It took me 10 minutes to find the room!!! The kid at the desk didn’t seem real helpful! Just not a pleasant stay!!!

Great place to stay... definitely recommend

We recently stayed at this hotel overnight, Danville KY location. The price was extremely reasonable. The staff was great - so friendly and accommodating. The whole hotel including the room was clean and well kept. It was probably one of the best hotels we've stayed at and definitely a better deal. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. Also, it's pet friendly. Our Chihuahua was very loved by everyone.

I reserved a king size bedroom

I reserved a king size bedroom, no smoking, downstairs. for two pets. They give me a $64 price. It was late when we got in. They gave us our room downstairs. We went to it. When I walked in the first thing I noted was smoke filled. It smelt like I walked into a Ashtray. and I don't smoke. I can easily stand some smoke. But this was ridiculous. And one. walking into the bathroom. It looked like the room hadn't been cleaned and had been used., So I'm thinking they made a mistake. So I went to the front desk. and told them. So they gave us a room They had left, they said. But I noticed a lot of empty rooms. It was a large area of motel. They gave us a room upstairs with double beds. That room smelled better and it was warm. But when I laid on the bed, it felt like it had a huge rock under it. There was number. 208. Not enough toilet paper and towels in the room. It is outdated. And we noted some ladies that look like they rented themselves out for the night coming and going. Maybe I'm wrong. OK, but it was snowing, so most the criminal activity, I assume, was inside for the night. I was worried about my truck. The dogs barked twice. My husband passed out tired because we were driving all day. I didn't sleep very good and had a dentist appointment the next day. They didn't take anything off our bill. Lowering it for the double beds because the king bad non smoking was supposed to be 60. 6. Nothing was taken off the bill. Taxes made it 74. The place was really outdated. It the toilet was 12 inches off the floor. I felt like I was in the kindergarten bathroom. And when you're older, 69. That's hard to get up off of. There was no grab bars. The doors were chipped and broken The TV was very small. There was no back on the remote control. You get what you paid for my husband's. said.

I stayed overnight after my outpatient…

I stayed overnight after my outpatient surgery. Being a retired hospitality professional, I look for comfort, convenience and a clean place. Everything thing else is usually the same. I got there, went to my room. It was nine degrees outside, so I hit the heat....Nada....I had checked in late and the office was closed. I had to sleep in my clothes. Man, was I warm, and NOT from the room heating unit. I called the corporate office, nothing... So I just went to sleep.
Upon waking the next morning, I called the front office. A charming lady named 'Cheryl' answered. I told her about the situation and waited for the 'blame game' to start. She simply apologized and then offered to comp the night. That was it.... Cheryl, also mentioned that she had another room next door that she would give me if I chose to stay one more day. I took it. When I opened the door, the warmth of the room embraced me! Cheryl was my heroine!

Red Roof franchisees gouge customers

I was driving through Buffalo with my teenage son during the recent blizzard and found I had no choice with all the road closures and driving conditions but to find a place to shelter. We called the nearest hotels and only Red Roof Inn in Hamburg had a room available. I was told they would charge me $457USD for one night. It was described as a "deluxe non-smoking" room. Since my and my son's safety was at stake I felt I had no choice but to book it. The room turned out not to be non-smoking at all, had dirty floors and was in a general state of disrepair. However, feeling I had no alternative since I had been asked to pay up front I resigned to spend the night. Soon, however, the snow abated and after some further research into which roads were closed we decided to make an attempt to get home. We nearly got stranded in a snowbank but made it safely home, at which point I called the motel's front desk to let them know we had left, had not used the beds at all and had only left some food containers in the garbage so they could possibly rent the room to the next desperate traveller. I asked for a refund. I was told a refund wouldn't be possible.

A couple days later I've brought this instance of clear price-gouging to the attention of Red Roof Inn corporate but it appears they have no real mechanism in place to address situations in which their individual locations operate in a brand-damaging manner.

Letting everyone know to be very wary of Red Roof Inn locations. They operate in a rogue manner. The location on Camp Road in Hamburg is especially seedy.

They kicked me out after sending a…

They kicked me out after sending a email about the laundry. Here’s what my email said………Email to them……. Good morning, I’m a customer at your establishment. I’m Ms.Taylor in 214 at the Red Roof I’ve been here about 16th days. I’ve done paid close to 1400$ for them days. For me to get off work Wednesday get my laundry together so I can wash only to carry all my things downstairs and the laundry is closed. Go to the front desk for them to tell me, the laundry is down and I can go across the street to wash my clothes if I would like.I had to carry my dirty laundry, all the way back up the stairs. I don’t have a car and was too tired to walk across the street to wash. Thursday night I get caught in the rain walking from the store. My sweater was soaking wet so instead of me washing, I went to the Days Inn to dry my sweater before returning to the Red Roof only to find out it takes tokens. I walk to the front desk to retrieve me some tokens for the dryer. Only to find nobody there I walked around yelling hello, no answer. So by nobody being at the front desk for me to retrieve tokens I walked back across the street where I’m paying my money to stay and can’t do laundry. Come get my clothes walk back across the street now the front desk clerk is back so I asked, can I buy some tokens for him to tell me he don’t have anymore. Now I have to walk back to the laundry room, retrieve my wet sweater and walk my dirty clothes back across the street where I’m paying to stay that’s not fair to me. I truly feel like I deserve a free night cause Now I have to try doing laundry once again when I get off work across the street where I’m not paying to stay. Not trying to give you a hard time this morning I’m just asking to be compensated for my inconvenience. Thank You Ms.Sherieka Taylor……Should have tokens over at the Red Roof as well for customer that decide to go across the street and do their laundry. Until you get the one fixed at the Red Roof….Have a Blessed Day…… Now here’s they reply Good morning,
You're not supposed to do laundry next door. We have removed laundry as a service offered at Red Roof, months ago, prior to you deciding to stay at the Red Roof. Again we offer no laundry services at the Red Roof Inn. If you have taken upon yourself to trespass on another property (next door) to use their services then that is completely your choice. No compensation will be offered.
Have a lovely day, Got a call at work around 9:30 telling me to come get my things before 11 was there over 2weeks they do not have very good customer service skills. Specially they have manager in the morning and the young lady that works on weekends are very rude. and should have better customer service skills as much money as you have to pay to stay there with a burnt up tubs, dirty lining…… Somebody please help me cause this was not right

Are you kidding me???!!!!

Our child is having surgery at akron childrens tomorrow AND:
I will be contacting the franchise to tell them how they are being represented. I could leave a review with negative stars, I certainly would!! Room 122. I booked a DELUX room with a crib. Holy cow!!!! If this room is a deluxe, I'm a millionaire. When we checked in, there were 3 bookings ahead of us demanding different rooms because of what they got vs. what they booked. The pictures on the website are a total bait and switch! The door has been kicked in, there isn't a garbage can. The sheets and comorters???!!!!! OMD they are stained and cigarette burned! How can that be though since it's a non smoking room?? It smells of amonia (cat) and cigarette smoke! There is brown sticky stuff on the fire sprinkler and bathroom light. There's mold in the tub and the roof, the walls have sort of been repaired where the holes are. There is dirt and a dead bug at the base of the dresser There's some pretty sketchy people in the rooms next to us who are living out of their car. I understand being down on your luck but it's not even dark yet and my skin is crawling from the filth and I just can't wait to see what drama comes about tonight. I will update review then.

No star but one star is enough

I really should be giving this no stars at all because this place was definitely a scumbag flea bag Motel and when I'm being by scumbags I'm talking about those drug dealers pimps and all types of s*** that was in that Vicinity. It was very hot in the room and when I went to go see the manager obviously I got my answer when it came to who is running the place. I'm not being racist but I'm saying is you could at least keep everything under control and make sure your customers and clients are happy

Better than average

Better than average. We stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Corbin Kentucky. Spacious, clean rooms. Good breakfast. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room at the far end away from the interstate because you get some noise from the passing trucks.
