I received a Deliveroo order produced by a REEF kitchen which had multiple human hairs throughout several items, ruining £30 of food. After Deliveroo claimed they had no responsibility, I was eventually passed through to REEF to deal with the complaint. Initially, the customer service department was quick, apologetic and helpful, offering me a discount code for the unacceptable condition that my food arrived in.
The code did not work, despite running through multiple steps given to me by several Customer Service agents. Eventually, the team said they would need to query exactly why the code did not work directly with Deliveroo. 1 month later I emailed to ask for an update. The narrative had changed at this point and I was told that REEF did not offer refunds or compensation, and they tried to shunt the blame back to Deliveroo. To be honest I'm stunned. REEF clearly stalled hoping that I'd just "go away" and lied about offering me compensation in the first place, despite Deliveroo firmly putting the ball in their court. REEF customer service is appallingly lacking, with no accountability or care for your issues. As you can probably tell from my post I will be avoiding their satellite kitchens at all costs.
I placed my order and received it in 8 minutes. I was completely shocked and extremely impressed. I will definitely be ordering from REEF again.
