Avoiding knee replacement....
I was given the advice to have both my knees replaced; it's been 'bone on bone'. Not feeling comfortable with this perspective we started looking for alternatives and eventually got together with ReGen Cellular. From the 1st consult to the cell extraction to the injections into both knees I experienced the whole process being taken care of in a trustworthy, efficient and effective way. Friendly care and highly informative. The outcome is just fantastic; I'm back walking the dogs daily clogging up some 7,000 steps a day regularly besides continuing in my professional role. I would recommend stem cell treatment by ReGen Cellular without reservations!
I have had stem cell treatment to both feet with excellent results.
I have had stem cell treatment to both feet for severe oseoarthritis. I was always in pain, but still able to work & could dance providing I took a 24hr anti inflammatory tablet the night before. I did this 3 X a week or more, plus panadol. Going for walks was no longer an option, & I still avoid that. I often had pain in bed at night which would take some hours to settle, depending on how much walking I had had to do in my job. It is now 1 year post treatment, (1st foot done Aug 21 & 2nd foot in Nov 21) & I have had immense relief from chronic pain. I only need to use panadol osteo twice daily, & have rarely taken an anti inflammatory in 6-8 months. I can dance & move more easily, have better balance & do not experience as much pain after dancing or working. My feet do not ache at night, & I am able to wear more comfortable shoes. The treatment has been worth the cost & the journey to have such a lot of improvement. I have also had PRP treatment to both my right hip & shoulder, with good effect. I plan to have stem cells to those 2 joints in the near future. I had previously had steroid injections into my hip & 1 ankle, with either no effect or relief for 1 month only. Stem cells are definitely worth a try. I am extremely happy with the result & the consultations before treatment.
Sorry, and good luck.......
After investing $20,000 into this treatment for osteoarthritis in both hip joints I saw initial improvement over about 3 months, then returned back to my original state of pain and limited mobility. I can't help but feel ripped off. Again a "non responder" as with John McKay below. I let them know about my progress with their 6 monthly questionnaire and said I'm now pursuing a double hip replacement. They replied with "Sorry, and good luck".
To be fair we went into it with 'eyes wide open' however the lack of interest in investigating why I was a non responder makes me wonder how they can possibly improve their service if they don't follow up the unsuccessful cases more thoroughly. If they'd known it wouldn't work for me and been honest about it, I could have saved $20,000 and a whole lot of time and pain.
Osteoarthritis in Right Knee
In 2017 at the age of 53 I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my right knee, the specialist told me my only option was knee join replacment surgery. And every 10 years I would require additional surgeries, but considering my age that would possibly mean 2-3 surgeries for the rest of my lifetime. So we seeked an alternative. I got my first treatment in June 2020 and the pain was completely gone, within a month I was able to walk pain free.
There was a follow up after a year, an MRI showed there was still a lack of cartilage even though the pain had gone. We decided to do another treatment in January 2022 and I am still in the process of healing. I am following the exercises given to me to support my legs.
Before the treatment I was on 2-3 different kinds of painkillers for almost 3 years. I would cry after coming home from work due to the pain. I am very happy to have no pain after the treatment, I have no regrets. It was well worth the money. My stem cells are stored with Regen, if I need any further treatments in the future.
I would like to thank Marcelle Noble, Dr Mubark and Dr Matti for helping us understand. Marcelle took our call many times to offer information and support before, during and after the treament. She was very helpful and went out of her way to help me.
I could not recommend ReGen more!
I could not recommend ReGen more!! After having constant chronic hamstring tendinopathy pain for 3 years and undergoing various treatments with numerous sports doctors I decided to undergo treatment with stem cell therapy. I am a competitive hockey player and active runner and wasn't able to participate in these disciplines without suffering constant pain that sometimes was unbearable. I am nearly 12 months in after receiving stem cell therapy treatment and my body has not been this pain free for years, I had almost forgotten what it was like - it truly was my saving grace. The team at ReGen are all so supportive along the way which made the journey so much easier as well.
I received a so called stem cell…
I received a so called stem cell infusion to both knees on Feb 01 '21. I had been diagnosed with arthritic knees and cartilage damage. I have had medial meniscus surgery on my right knee some 50years earlier. I had some pain in both knees but could climb stairs with some difficulty. I could work with clients as PT Physiology instructor working 30+hours weekly. I was able to walk/stand most of the day without too much pain.
Today I require a walker to walk - I have difficulty in walking more than 10 mins at a time - i cannot climb or descend stairs now - my knees are painful all the time -24hrs -my left knee now is more painful than my right. I expected my left knee to respond better than my right - NOT so - I have to say the results to-date are far less than I would have expected - certainly not to have a worse outcome than before. I am v/v/disappointed in these poor results and do NOT accept that I am simply a non-responder as was suggested by the surgeon.

I had a bike versus a truck accident in 2017.
I had crushed ribs, broken sternum, phrenic nerve damage,,left lung pushed high under my ribs, fractured spine in three places.
I found breathing difficult and needed help with oxygen. Walking was painful with continual back pain .
I was told by the orthopaedic surgeon that my injuries were so extensive that I would end up in a wheelchair.
I researched stem cells and started a programme. my cells were removed from my stomach and flown to a laboratory in Queenstown for expansion. 6 weeks later I had numerous injections of stem cells and PRP. About 3 months after the injections I was feeling so much better and was able to start pilates for strengthening. I have stem cells injected about once a year . 2020 I was pain
free, breathing without oxygen or inhalers. I walk 5km 2 times a week and do pilates 3 times a week.
If I had of had orthodox medical treatment I would have had numerous operations and probably be in a wheelchair .

Incredible results with my left achilles. Ruptured it twice many years ago and was advised I would never be able to run nor do a left heel raise. I can now do both !

In 2019 I suffered a full thickness tear in my right rotator cuff. In Dec 2019 I received stem cell therapy by Dr Hassan Mubark. Whilst a recent scan has showed my tear has not fused, I am completely asymptomatic with no pain whatsoever or restriction of movement. I would highly recommend this process.

Ankle cartilage replacement
Ankle cartilage replacement. I rolled my ankle about 16 years ago. It was a very bad roll but after a lot of physio it stopped hurting and I was without pain for about 10 years but eventually it came back to bite me. The cartilage had almost gone so a debridement surgery cut away any lose cartilage ends and ground the spurs.
Then about 2 years of trying to get it better tests/ scans /x-rays /cortizone injections and back to 2 different surgeons only to be told cartilage almost gone. Nothing to be done except fuse the ankle or ankle replacement.
I was told cartilage cannot be regrown. That's when I met Hassam. I can fix that he said and he did !! But even when I have x-rays showing cartilage, the surgeons say it cant happen. Hasam is a man of few words but very clever.
I'm still improving and trying to fix other things that are not helping like short tendons and tight muscles due to favoring the other ankle. Its a journey I'm still on with physio, orthotics and now finishing with acupuncture
He has helped me when others couldn't
Even though English is not his first language he perseveres to make you understand what he can do to help you , always positive and a pleasure to meet.
The acupuncturist I'm using has a even worse problem with English we are very lucky these cleaver professionals have chosen to live in NZ and add to our superb health system

I chose stem cell treatment over a total knee replacement
I chose stem cell treatment over a total knee replacement after spending a lot of time trying to put off the inevitable. I received a cortisone injection mid May 2018 which helped well for about 9 months then the pain returned. I took celebrex plus osteo paracetamol tables daily until I realised I had to get more serious about fixing the problem. I had PRP treatment which I didn't find much relief with. I booked to have a total knee replacement had a booking at the public hospital then found out about Hassan Mubark through my twin brother who had had it done and was skiing.......gently......three months on!
When I called Regen Cellular they couldn't have been more helpful from day one. I had an appointment with Hassan just before lockdown then straight after I had the stem cell harvest from my tummy (no pain) They grew 100's of 1000's of cells and 8 weeks later after no affect with the harvesting I returned to Ormiston Hospital in Auckland for a 4pm appointment with Hassan ( with my braces I had had fitted previously)
I had blood removed, spun, added to the stem cells then carefully injected into both knees within 20 minutes. I put my braces on and walked out the door. I had a cup of tea then we drove back to Taupo with NO Pain!
I am now 13 weeks out and am out walking, riding my bike, but still taking care not to do too much. My problem now is with my brain!!! It wants to go faster than my body but I am fighting it and will work quietly to fully recover over the next few weeks.
I cannot thank Hassan and his team for making this such an incredible adventure and would recommend it not just for knees but shoulder hips and ankles.
Happy summer.......look out!

Just Magic
I had stem cell injections mid May 20 in my right shoulder for osteoarthritis at that time I'd say I had about 25% use of my arm very weak and very poor range of movement 7 weeks on and the strengh and range of movement has improved unbelievably say 65-70% and I think it still improving just magic

Worn cartilage in both knees
Both my knees had very worn cartilage and began giving pain which almost curtailed my exercise. A knee specialist suggested plasma treatment which I was about to try when I saw a news item about the success of stem cell therapy. Googled and found ReGen NZ, read the reviews and rang, within 2 weeks I had undergone harvesting and within 8 weeks had therapy in both knees. I wore the braces for the required time, bought a silent exercycle and began cycling every day. 6 months later I'm back walking up to 13k and believe the therapy has made a positive difference. Hassan is very caring and approachable, I'm so glad I decided to have the treatment.

Radical Regeneration for Retiree
As a retired grandmother of, soon to be, nine busy grandchildren, it has been debilitating and frustrating to have had a series of injuries to my right shoulder since July 2018. They say that once you bite your tongue it happens repeatedly at the same spot and this is what has happened to my rotator cuff. The pain was worse than child birth and constant, especially through the nights, and after several successful steroid injections, a further injury meant a new approach was inevitable, namely orthopaedic intervention.
My experience of surgery has been mainly negative, with continued problems after meniscus knee surgery as a University student and ongoing pain from a poorly set broken wrist much more recently. The exception has been replacement of both my lenses with toric lenses and it has been life-changing, thanks to Shenton Chew.
My doctor suggested looking at stem cell replacement therapy after a long wait to see an orthopaedic surgeon and the prospect of another lengthy delay before ACC responded, then further delay waiting to be considered for public surgery. All this time I had been having physio and doing exercises within my limited capacity but with intense pain.
I read of Stephen Frank’s experience and, knowing I was far from an All Black in status and fitness, contacted Dr Mubark at Ormiston Hospital, Flat Bush. From the outset he was interested and concerned to make a difference professionally. Despite the waiting room overflowing with patients, I was assessed and called back on his day off to receive plasma injections to relieve the pain. It was extremely painful, as using anaesthetic would have compromised the efficacy of the procedure, but it began to help after a few hours. The harvesting of my stem cells and their injection a month later went smoothly though, and since then there has been steady progress apart from a typical blip when my shoulder brace caught in a veranda door handle and set me back a couple of weeks. I am back cautiously swimming 100 breast strokes when weather permits, now that lockdown is over, doing exercises at home because face to face physio is not advisable and planning to get back to tennis by the end of 2020! I am gardening, hanging washing and writing up my father’s WW2 Memoirs full time which had to be abandoned over the past year.
A retired Cardiologist, when he heard I was trying SCT, commented, ‘If I were training today I would go down the stem cell therapy path.’ Confidence at a high level from a medically conservative practitioner. And my Radiologist said, ‘I have never before seen a full tendon tear recover without surgery’.
I am unconditionally recommending Dr Mubark and his staff at Ormiston Hospital and the fabulously helpful team in Queenstown ReGen Cellular for their professional and compassionate approach to alternative medicine.
I am pain free and no longer taking tramadol, amitriptyline and panadol as I was for months. As for me, progress to date is simply miraculous.

I was a mountain runner...
I was a mountain runner who developed a cartilage injury in my patellofemoral joint of one leg. I was in my late forties and was not ready to give up running or mountainbiking, but the pain was preventing me from these activities. I was in constant rehab work at the gym but with limited success due to muscle wastage. The surgeon suggested a knee osteotomy - but the likely outcome was poor and the lengthy recovery could make the muscle wastage unrecoverable. The stem cell option involved some uncomfortable removal of fatty tissue and some very uncomfortable reinjection of the stem cells into the joint. Then the real work started. I spent 6 months at the gym 3 times a week building up the wasted muscle. In that time I recovered the strength in that quad to 90% of the strength in the other quad. It had been at 60%. A year later I'm running again, kicking a ball around, and doing plenty of serious climbing and cycling. I'll never be doing multiday mountain runs again, but my god do I appreciate what I can do. Recommend to any active people who are committed to doing the hours in rehab.
Stem Cell Surgery v Orthopaedic Surgery.......
I chose to undergo stem cell surgery on my right shoulder three months ago in preference to orthopaedic surgery which I underwent on my left shoulder 8 years ago and it wasn’t entirely satisfactory and realising I would have to undergo an anaesthetic and then go through with three months rehab which is very debilitating especially if one lives on their own! I am so delighted with my stem cell surgery result as within the three months I have been back at the gym, Pilates, cycling, swimming and walking in order to gain a reasonable standard of fitness to go on a skiing holiday which I have successfully and without any discomfort returned from. My grateful thanks to Dr Hassan Mubark and his professional and able staff for a job well done!

Stem Cells for torn rotator cuff tendon…
After tearing my rotator cuff tendon during a sporting event, I sought advice from a specialist who advised me to see if I can live with the partial tear as it was. The alternative would be surgery to sew it back together , however, the stated failure rate for someone of my age (60 yrs) was significant and the downtime for recovery was several months. I persisted with the painful shoulder which got the better of me as I couldn't do all the sports I wanted, comfortably.
I decided to ask Dr Hussan Mubark if Stem Cells could work so I underwent the procedure. Within weeks I had most of the pain disappear and the strength return to my shoulder. It has been approx 6 months since the procedure and I am back to all my sports which include kitesurfing, paddleboarding and gym work. My shoulder is not 100% but it would have to knocking 85 to 90% compared to the previous 50% (my rating of pain + strength).
I can only comment on the result and it is the best situation I could ever have imagined. Thank you Doctor Mubark.

Complete Tear of the Supraspinatus Tendon
After being diagnosed with a complete tear of the supraspinatus tendon in my right shoulder and being told by an orthopaedic surgeon the tear was inoperable but I could have a full shoulder replacement operation I took to “google” to seek a less intrusive method to fix my shoulder. Dr Hassan Mubark’s name came up linked to ReGen Cellular. Hassan met with me within 10 days; around 8 weeks later I had stem cells harvested and 6 weeks after that the cells were injected into my shoulder. After 10 months of being unable to garden or play golf (two of my favourite past-times) I was back doing both activities 5 weeks from the stem cell injections. I can only describe the treatment as miraculous. I must mention I worked with a physiotherapist for the 6 weeks after the stem cell injections which (along with regular Pilates sessions) assisted in the healing. I would not hesitate in recommending Dr Hassan Mubark and ReGen Celluar for their professionalism, promptness and successful outcome.

Shoulder Damage
I have had ongoing issues with both my shoulders for about 15 years to the point where I was not able to function adequately; playing golf was painful, gardening and anything that required use of the shoulders caused pain. Even getting T shirts, jumpers on and off was difficult and painful. I was also not able to sleep on either shoulder. Surgery was not an option due to the age of the damage. I had heard about stem cell treatment from an acquaintance and did some research, finally contacting Regen Cellular in 2018. Following the stem cell harvesting I had the stem cell injections in February 2019. One year on and I am able to function almost normally with both my shoulders. The only limitations really are doing things above my head that involves lifting something with weight otherwise all other activities are pain-free. FolIowing the injections I attended the physio for follow up treatment and embarked on a gym programme to strengthen the shoulders. This treatment has improved the quality of my life immeasurably.
