Seems like a scam

Salesperson came to house, looked in attic and provided quote. Tried to suggest I secure financing right then and there (over $12,000). The next day, when I questioned some items on the quote, he sent me a second quote with totally different numbers. When I questioned the difference, he said there was a glitch in the system, just use the first quote, which didn't have any detail as to what they would do. While he has been responsive to my questions, his answers seem made up and he has nothing to support the numbers. The suggested contractor (Elevate Insulation) is using a "virtual office space" address so they have a local presence. I have decided to block his number and work with a real professional.

Tried to lie and say it wasn't…

Tried to lie and say it wasn't soliciting and said "they're checking to make sure home insulation was up to code." I asked if he was from the city, county or state. No. He said I should have received and email, flyer or seen yellow trucks. Nope. I asked which company, he said Reli. I told him to stop lying to people and trying ti sell services especially when thereis a clear No Soliciting sign right in your face.

Misleading sales pitch and very overpriced quotes

They knocked on my door in Tennessee and said they were working for TVA to bring old houses insulation up to modern standards. This is not true. They are not working for TVA. They may be able to get the tax credits and rebates that TVA have to offer but they are not working with them. They also quote very inflated prices for installation of insulation. ChatGPT tells me the average cost for the same attic insulation they would install for a 1600sqft house is $2,380. Reli energy quoted me $12,390.17 before the TVA rebate and tax credit is applied. This is $10,000 over the average rate. We would be paying almost $9,000 (after instant rebate) up front for a job that should cost about a quarter of that before any rebates or credits are applied. Their guy also kept saying there's no pressure while continually applying pressure for us to sign right away. He said that if we don't sign today it may be too late to guarantee we get the work done before the TVA credits end.

No means no, guy.

Add me to the long list of homeowners offended by the shady door to door sales experience masquerading as some official program because of rebates. No means no, guy.

Aggressive, Disrespectful, and Downright Scary Experience

As a senior citizen, I’ve dealt with many door-to-door salespeople over the years, but nothing prepared me for the intimidation I experienced from a Reli Energy Solutions salesman — and worse, his manager.

After I politely declined their offer and asked them to leave my property, the young man became pushy, refusing to take no for an answer. Moments later, his manager arrived and instead of de-escalating the situation, doubled down.

Even after being asked several times to leave, they parked outside my home and continued to have a loud discussion in front of my house. I felt unsafe in my own home and ultimately had to call the police to get them to leave.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable from any company, let alone one that’s supposed to be offering “solutions.” I would warn any fellow seniors — or frankly anyone — to avoid Reli Energy Solutions at all costs. Pushy, unprofessional, and utterly disrespectful.

A master class in unprofessionalism at…

A master class in unprofessionalism at my doorstep!

First, a door knocker bombarded my elderly mother with questions so niche they could only come from someone in the insulation industry. To add insult to injury, he falsely claimed a “partnership” with our local energy provider—a claim my provider flatly denied.

When my mother asked him to leave, he stubbornly refused to vacate my property. I ended up having to chase him off, police threats in tow.

The manager then arrived in his out-of-state Idaho ride, too busy on his phone to notice what was happening until I explained the situation. His dismissive “These things happen” hardly covered up the fact that I was dealing with what amounted to criminal trespassing.

The manager’s ineptitude didn’t go unnoticed either—a would-be tough guy who clearly knew nothing about customer care. After a surreal 20-minute chat between these characters on my lawn, the police finally arrived, and I promptly filed a report for trespassing.

A cautionary tale: steer clear of Reli Energy Solutions if you value your home’s peace.
