As someone supporting myself without…No response from support when you really need help
As someone supporting myself without parents, I rely on online job platforms to find honest work to survive. My experience with RemoteJobs.io was very disappointing and costly for me.
What went wrong:
1. I spent my limited data bundles applying to multiple "entry-level" jobs listed for Africa, but all of them either redirected to third-party sites asking for upfront payment or never responded at all.
2. There is no clear warning that some jobs require fees. For someone in my situation, losing even $1 to a scam or wasting data on fake listings causes real hardship.
3. I emailed support twice asking for help identifying real jobs, but received no reply after 2 weeks.
4. The platform does not seem to verify if employers are real, which puts desperate job seekers at risk.
How they can improve:
1. Clearly label any job that requires payment or training fees before someone clicks apply.
2. Verify every employer and remove scam listings within 24 hours of reports.
3. Create a support channel that actually responds, especially for users in developing countries.
4. Add a "Verified No-Fee" filter to protect vulnerable job seekers.
I joined hoping for opportunity but left feeling exploited. I cannot recommend this site to other Tanzanians, especially young people trying to build a life without family support.

This is a pay to apply app/company. And unlike free apps like Indeed or ZioRecruiter, they also keep the company name from you. You should NEVER have to pay for applying to real companies. This company is scamming people who don’t have money to begin with.
