I needed new windscreen wipers and Repco Shirley, CHCH was recommended to me by the man who replaced my cracked windscreen. The lovely ladies on the desk, established which ones were right for my car and quickly installed them for me. Total cost was around $30. I appreciated their knowledgable assistance and the great pricing.

Do what you say you will do!

I placed an online order on the 21st of Feb 2026. The confirmation email from them stated approx delivery would be Tues 24th and I would recieve an email notifying me of when it was despatched. On Thurs 26th I emailed customer support to enquire if it had been despatched who replied stating they had forwarded my request to the Gisborne store and advised I phone them if I had further concerns. By Tues 3rd March after not recieving any confirmation of my order been despatched I phoned the Gisborne store. The staff member didnot want my order number and asked for my name which yielded no result, then asked for the part number which I did not have available at the time. All the while I was adressed as 'man' like some '70's hippy! I again said I can supply the order number to which he stated that he was not experienced at been able to search using the number but agreed to try. The line fell silent although I kept asking if he was ready to recieve the order number. After an extended time still no acknowledgement that he was even still on the line. I hung up and then Phoned customer support who confirmed my order details and stated they will phone the Gisborne store to make enquiries further stating they would phone me back.I did not recieve a reply. 40 mins after this the Courier delivered my order. The accompanying postal document was marked overnight delivery and the document was dated at been generated on the 27th of Feb. I have not since recieved ANY notifications or follow up calls. Suggestion 1, ensure the store sends the despatch notification as they said they would. 2, donot address me or other customers as 'man' I provided my name I expect to be addressed by my name! 3, when customer services/support state they will phone me back, please do so!. Had the pespatch details been sent to me I would not have had to contact customer services/ support. I would not have been left feeling as though I or my
purchase meant little to nothing to the Store and Repco services. My intended future parts purchase are very, very unlikely to be made with Repco Gisborne. It is a stain on NZ business customer services and my experience was lacking professionalism, courtesy, and due care and diligence. A well deserved 1 star review!

Selling product they don't have

An online order was successful but later cancelled by Manukau branch manager, reason was they don't have the product. Totally misleading consumers. I updated the following: this update was on 07-1-2026, after complaint to Repco, the reply was, when consumer place an online order it doesn't mean you had purchase the product, instead they just start to look for the product if it was not available, they just cancel the order and refund it. This is pointless to purchase online! Will purchase anything from Repco again? Sorry not for me anymore!
I appreciate TRUSTPILOT provide a channel for consumer make comments to reflect the true side of how their operation!

The click and click is completely…

The click and click is completely unreliable firstly the parts that you're required for your correct car e.g auto rear brake pads for my car and then they put a new order that you're actually after front ones the store that you have put for the pickup they change and you can't go and to your local store to get the matter resolved without having to buy the item over the counter and then get a credit back for your collect and collect furthermore if you try ringing them their phones don't work you can't email them to me save yourself the hassle and go to Supercheap BTM or anyone else other than Repco save yourself the headache

AN ANNOYING AND UNFAIR TRANSACTION

I wrote a complaint to Repco expressing my dissatisfaction with my most recent transaction at their Lyall Bay store in Wellington. Lacking a reply to that I thought to follow up with that here. I purchased a replacement set of wiper blades and took a photo of the car showing the plates to ensure the correct replacement. Followed the guidelines on the packaging and cut the first blade to size only to find out then that the blades I'd been given were the wrong size. Took them back, was told that as I'd cut one it was not replaceble and I'd need to purchase a new set. I mentioned that I'd shown the plate number to staff to ensure the correct size and was told that the plate number didn't always correlate with the correct blade size. So why wasnt I told this at the time of purchase? The blade price was $20 which isn't the end of the world but the principle of the whole transaction really annoyed me that I had to buy another. So Repco gained $20 and I lost $20 over this. IT'S THE PRINCIPLE!! Not good and it's Supercheap for me from now on.

Couldn’t believe it

Couldn’t believe it - 600gm CRC Brake Cleaner, DOUBLE the price of the same product at Mitre 10. Looked around at some more, including Turtle Wax and the same - DOUBLE the price of M10. What a scam.

Click and collect FAIL

Ordered in stock tool trolley in boxing day sale 24th Dec. Click and Collect Pickup in 1 to 3 days. I rang store on 29th Dec and they said item is in transit from distribution centre. Now it is 5th Jan. I have not had any official communication updating my order pickup date or any reasonable explanation why it wasnt available in 1 to 3 days.

Repco Rolleston hidden fee

Went to Rolleston Repco to purchase item on sale. Was told store did not yet have stock of item. Hornby had some so would get one sent over for me and I would just pay the special price on collection.
Collected item and was charged a $10 courier fee for the transfer. Not told about it. Would gone to Hornby to purchase had I been told about it. Told staff that but they clearly didn't care and just shrugged and said Sorry.
Feeling ripped off and angry. Will not go there again!

Dont buy snow chains at Repco

Dont buy snow chains at Repco. The website which links to a company called Snowsweat is difficult to use and confusing. Bought the wrong ones, which they would only take back if we bought much more expensive $600 + chains. Would not recommend, unlikely to buy from again

Don’t buy your snow chains with repco!!

Don’t buy your snow chains with repco!!

We had a near death experience. On the advice of an employee at Repco, we bought snow chains for our Toyota Hiace. The chains break after just 10 minutes of driving up Mount Lyford. The chains were tight around the wheels, this was also checked after a short drive. We stood with our car next to a steep precipice, which then slid further towards the precipice. We were terrified!!!! After a while someone came who was the manager of the ski slope. He got the van turned but then the car quickly moved further down because of all the snow/ice. It was that the ice below melted for a bit otherwise we don't know how this would have ended.
The biggest joke was that we went back to the store to return the chains and they told us there was nothing wrong with the chains and waved us away to go up the mountain, which was completely irresponsible!!! We even spoke to the regional manager who told us that we return the chains because we would no longer need them and that we could get our money back! What a crazy person for this to be your first thoughts!!!

Click and collect 30 mins "Advertised online"
2 hours a waiting.
2 headlights
Rang customer service
Wouldn't even tell me her name passed on to store couldn't give any type of information apart from wait for email we are busy.
Should have realised 30 mins click and collect is for quiet times. Never actually seen more than 3 or 4 people in a Repco at one time ever.
Don't want to risk waiting 21 days for a refund. Wow another NZ institution gone the way of "if I am busy screw you"

No one in store is enforcing this ,or even questioning.
I told the lady at the counter this and left .
