Hi everyone, ordered a replacement glass for my stove, fitted many over the years with no problems, purchased this item through Paypal, fitted item as Heat proof stove glass, fitted these types of stove glass for over 15 years and had wood and multifuel stoves and cookers for over 25 years, item was fitted correctly with new seals and hand tightened clips (if you over tighten the expansion cracks the glass) the stove is over 10 years old not a new stove, having fired the stove only 3 times since installing new glass its cracked! doesn't fit the purpose, maybe the glass is flawed I don't know but it should not be cracking after only firing stove up 3 timesI always have the stove dampers down to approx. 20% of Oxygen intake as not to over pressurise the burn chamber. This is the first time I have ever experienced this problem fitting this part, it is very much not normal to crack after such short time, my conclusion is that the glass must have been substandard. Company not very helpful at all and Paypal just as bad, just get overseas call centre who havn't a clue what I'm talking about!! be aware of substandard quality.
